Absolute scam, active military on deployment and they towed my car off base, by the time I came back from deployment; they had insisted I pay 4000+ dollars in storage fees to retrieve my vehicle, was able to negotiate for a 2,000$ fee but regardless this business is highly predatory, a 100$ a day "storage fee" each day the vehicle remains is absurd being located right next to a military installation where service members are regularly deploying, than returning home to no vehicle and a 4000$ fee additionally after finally picking up my car, the plastic fitting used for towes on the front number was missing and not located anywhere in the vehicle additionally another plastic cover on the interior which goes over the shifter lock release was also missing read more

We hit a large log in the road and both left tires were left flat. We called S & R towing and they sent Justin out right away, He made sure we were safe as we were on a two lane curvy road. We had to put the car on a flatbed and he made sure there would be no damage to the car, as it is very low in the front. He also wrapped the tie-downs with soft cloths so there were no scratches on the wheels. I can't say enough about this young man and how professional he was. My brother in law had a motor home break down and a bad part of hwy 78 going towards julian California. He had Alstate Road side service. The said they couldn't fix anyone to tow him. Then a S&r towing truck told him to talk to the main office. And he called Alstate back and gave them the # And they talk to S & R towing. S&R Heavy Towing came out. Brett was the drive . Hello to the readers of reviews. Below is my initial review where I have mentioned my frustration at being sold an English bus that should not have been sold. It was an illegal sale. The DMV clearly states that not all parties were notified. Here is my update; On July 22 2024 I sent them a certified letter (see picture below) asking S&R towing Steve Dugan and Rusty Russell (owners) to please give me a full refund and come and pick up their bus. I have heard nothing. No reply or comment what so ever. My next step is a letter of demand. I will keep you posted. I will start by saying our sweet elderly neighbors spoke highly about S&R Towing. We had a specific issue in towing a vintage horse trailer that was hit and needed to be flat bedded. Kat on the phone was so gracious and accommodating, and Robert our tow guy was so kind professional! He made sure the trailer was as well strapped down as could be and was very secure. I wanted to give a shout out to S & R Towing! My boyfriend and I were stranded in Oceanside due to our truck being in operable. I called SNR towing they were very professional and friendly over the phone. They said the next driver was dropping off a car in Irvine and then would take a lunch and then would come pick us up which meant about an hour and a half. This all took place at 11 o'clock at night on Sunday. Jerry the tow truck driver came right away. He skipped his lunch and towed me and my boyfriend 53 miles had a smile on his face was friendly, personable and talkative. Was stranded on the freeway in the sun with no food water or other towing resources today. Called and they said they were nearby. After an hour later I called for an ETA and they said they were very far away and ETA was another 90 minutes and they would call. It's been 8 hours and they never called and are now closed. Great service, great response time. Price is not too bad as well. They were able to get my sedan after a popped tire in less than 20 minutes on hw76. This company is AWESOME! After my Expedition broke down in Carlsbad, on a rare extreme heat day, I needed to get towed to Oceanside Good Sam coordinated a different company first. They didn't show (I posted a very negative review on this first company) and left me stranded for several hours in the heat waiting. After contacting Good Sam back, S&R was scheduled for my tow. I received a text proving their arrival window (60-90 minutes) which seems to be the standard (unless you are out in the middle of nowhere). Given my previous experience on the day, I opted to call S&R at the 45 minute point, just to make sure they were indeed coming. The gal said they were, and in fact they were 8 minutes away. WOO HOO! The two men who came were amazing. Very personable and super nice. They had heard my plight from their office when the call came thru. Communication...so rad. They got my Expedition up on the bed safely, quickly and lickety split we were underway. These two men were very friendly, and the chat we had on the way to my mechanic was great. By the time we arrived, my energy had totally shifted from negative to awesome because of these two dudes. I am a jerk for not getting their names but I hope S & R knows them and they are acknowledged for their efforts. This company has no heart. They charged my homeless Aunt $204 for a tow that was 200 yards down the same road. When I called to dispute, I was told that she was charged the contracted price with the sheriffs department which $204 minimum. If my Aunt had a phone and had called them directly the tow would have been an $85 minimum plus 7.00 for the less than one mile tow. I understand business and profits etc...but for her to pay twice the normal amount seems unfair. This company has quite a few one star reviews. read more

You have to make an appointment to get your car and they get there after appointment time. They do not use the exact time the car was released. Great company! My tire poped while i was driving and I was able to make it safely to a shell gas station to call my insurance to send me some help. Luckily S&R towing came quickly to the rescue! They sent a guy named Greg! Man that guy was great! Totally made our not so fun experience due to the damaged tire Fun and smooth! He quickly put my car on the tow truck because since I have bigger size rims, my spare wouldn't be the best thing to put on. This company towed my parents vehicle from the highway after being in a horrible car accident. The guy that towed my dad to a Starbucks had absolutely no empathy for what has just happened. My mom was taken to the ER, and my dad had some rough injuries on his arms. When we came to take everything out of our vehicle we discovered the guy that towed our car STOLE money out of my moms WALLET, and some medication. When speaking to the "manager" they refused to give me the drivers name, instead they identified him as #366. The manager again, had a lack of empathy and insinuated that I was "just saying" that their driver stole from my moms wallet.
