Never fun when you turn the key and nothing happens! Faced with the need for towing, I called AAA to initiate action. AAA was very helpful and to the point while guiding me through the process. They put me in touch with NK Towing; a company I've had one experience with (favorable) some years ago. NK arrived even faster than AAA indicated, where I met Trevor Colwell, obviously a seasoned agent in terms of this process. "Being towed" in this case was getting the car positioned to be loaded onto their truck. Can't say enough about Trevor. His courteous, professional and comforting style immediately put me at ease as he effortlessly went through the loading process and set off for a short drive to my choice of assistance with my dead battery. We arrived at our destination within minutes where Trevor quickly had my car unloaded and parked - ready for service. NK Towing has corrupt drivers and dispatch. my partner was borrowing my car when the tire got a sudden flat and was in a minor collision on a rural road. i could tell the NK Towing drivers were judging me by my appearance as soon as they walked up. (it was almost midnight and i was in pajamas and had messy hair because i had been sleeping until my partner called to tell me what had happened). they repeatedly kept asking if my vehicle was mine. claimed my partner was driving under the influence and called the police. an officer came and could see he was fine. NK Towing made an already stressful event unnecessarily and exponentially more stressful with what is at the very least egregious harassment. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is a NIGHTMARE!! After an accident, I was forced to use them. They made everything so much harder. They were incredibly cruel. I was patiently waiting for them to give me my paperwork. I told them I was stepping outside to take a phone call with insurance, the man said okay then he immediately locked the door behind me!! Looking me dead in the eyes! I knocked and tried to call the desk and was told they were closed and I'd have to call a ride and come back tomorrow for my paperwork. The next day was even worse. Needed a battery replaced last night around 9 PM in Oceanside. NK Towing, working with AAA, arrived quickly. The tech was very organized and efficient. He made sure it was just a battery that needed replaced and not an alternator problem. Nothing worse when trying to get holiday shopping done than coming out of the store to a car with a dead battery. I called AAA, was told it would take about and hour, so sat in my car and worried about all my frozen groceries melting in the back seat. It was a terrific surprise when Brian Beltran of NK Towing called me within 15 minutes to tell me he was minutes away! My Daughters vehicle was impounded by OPD. I called NK & spoke to a Johnathon who seems to be the Driver Mgr for this team. He was rude, argumentative, lied to me on the phone stating he was not at the property when he was watching us from the dispatch office of NK towing. I as a dispatcher know that almost everything he was telling me was indeed NOT a fact. I also understand the demands of dispatching and how contracts with Different police agencys have to be followed and enforced. He was not following these guidelines. Needless to say he then advised one of his drivers that he did not want the persons (me) on the property. Mind you we were outside of the gated property. I will follow up with OPD on this Matter as well as DOT, BBB and a couple more places. This is by far the ugliest experience i have had in dealing with customer service. I do not want to leave this on a bad note. I have had other experiences with this Company. I have many dealings with the Dispatcher "NY-NA" Needless to say she is excellent at her job. She communicates with customers, provides excellent customer service, went above and beyond to help me out in AAA tows. She represents the NK team in a way that promotes the company. In the couple times I've used them through AAA, they've broken a piece off of my van, lost my keys which cost $50 to replace as they are old and vintage car keys, I called and they ignored me and then I called to complain and talked to someone and they gave me a huge attitude. They are not professional. Now I called AAA to get towed but I asked them to send a different company. I have to wait an hour more but it's worth it not to deal with these fools again. And NK was initially on the way but when I found that out I had it changed. So that's what you get when you don't give good service! On Sunday, May 7 I called AAA for a tow from Oceanside to Huntington Beach. AAA sent NK towing whom they contract with. NK towing was supposed to pick me up and my pick up truck on a flatbed truck at 10:15pm! After waiting an hour and a half for NK Towing 15 minutes before NK towing was due to arrive. They called me and said my request had been canceled leaving me stranded at Aliso Creek rest stop in Oceanside! The lady I spoke with at NK towing said they did not have enough drivers and the next driver would be available at 6 o'clock in the morning. I told her I'm not spending the night in my truck from 10 PM till 6 AM! So of course I got on Google and I called another tow company and they came right away! Day before Christmas and 2020 keeps on giving! Both my batteries are dead and battery posts were corroded and my truck would not start. Trying to get home for Christmas! It's 11am on Dec 24th and I'm getting an earful from my wife and were are stuck at a camp ground getting ready to go home. Truck decided not to start...packed with kids..wife..dog. Uggg Luckily Martin R came to the rescue. He showed up promptly, installed 2 new batteries and cleaned the corrosion as well as install a new post. He saved the day.
