This is a little bar & restaurant located in the Pruneyard. Enjoy a great meal of pizza, burger appetizers ect with a full bar right next to the movie theater. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group of over 10 people letting us move tables and chairs around to fit our group. We listened to a great live band, Body mind and soul from 8-11pm it was a blast!

I came here with my friends for happy hours and watch Hoppers next door at the movie theater. Right when you enter, you can order at the counter and sit at any available tables. We ordered the wings in cajun dry rub, hot honey dry rub, and buffalo. My favorite is the cajun dry rub! They are extremely flavorful and the perfect amount of crisp. The fries with the house-made mayo is extremely delicious!!! I also ordered the vampire cosmo, and it was decent.

Date: Friday, September 5th, 2025 Time: around 4:15pm Party of: 5 What: Happy Hour Everyday, 2pm to 6pm, Closed Mondays *HH Paloma ($10) x3 *HH Giant Pretzel ($5) *HH House Fries ($5) *HH Tequila and Soda ($7) x2 *HH Whiskey & Coke ($7) x2 *HH Nachitos ($5) - Grilled Chicken ($2.50) *HH Crispy Chicken Wings ($5) - Hot Honey Rub, Ranch Dip, 4 wings *HH High West Manhattan ($10) x2 *HH High West Old Fashioned ($10) x2 *HH Rickshaw Cabernet ($7) *Espresso Martini ($15) We were having my bday dinner at the Pruneyard. A friend and I decided to start early and dropped by Cedar Room for HH. I had no idea it was connected to the theatre, but it's a pretty decent sized space. The two of us were here first and started at the bar. When the remaining three arrived, we grabbed a table by the entrance. Their HH menu is pretty good. If you buy any drink, you can get an appetizer for $5. Draft cocktails run $10 or $11. Well Cocktails run $7, $9, or $10. Draft Beer is $5 and glasses of Wine are $5 off. They have 8 app to choose from - the four we ordered above, plus Beef Sliders, Hummus, Pizza Slice, and Pickle Chips. Vibe is very chill. It wasn't too busy when we got here, but started getting busier as time past. We actually liked it so much here, we came back again after dinner. Do note, cocktails are on tap and their high west ones are the bottled versions. I didn't think I would like the manhattan or old fashioned, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not too sweet or weak. Great spot for HH deals. REVIEW #3852

We've been to the Pruneyard Cinemas many times since moving back to the Bay Area. Tonight, it was our first time stopping by the Cedar Room. We wanted to get a couple drinks before watching our movie. They have happy hour on Tuesdays-Sundays from 2-6pm and there's discounted appetizers and alcoholic drinks! I got a Moscow mule and a rum & Diet Coke. Both were pretty strong so I think as far as bang for your buck, it gets the job done. I was super tempted to get the giant pretzel, but we just ate dinner so it'll for sure be on my to try next time! Another plus is that you can bring your drinks from here into your movie so we found that super convenient! The staff was very attentive even though it was pretty busy for New Year's Day. We will definitely be coming back!

Cute, dimly-lit restaurant with a pretty good happy hour. The drinks and food are both cheap on the happy hour menu. The food was decent, you get what you pay for. The drinks were great! Pretty presentation and also strong! Great option for happy hour

*Visited on Tuesday 1/28/2025 around 8pm I'm been visiting cedar room with my cousin over the past 3 years and was always left feeling happy and relaxed. The staff here are pretty kind and attentive, however during busy nights be sure to be a little more open and patient as they tend to get pretty packed here. The bartender who had helped up out during this visit was very kind and made sure we were happy with our drinks as some of the items on the menu were either sold out or they had been recently taken off the menu. The bar itself is pretty cool- it's versatile as it can be both a great place for a small group or for an intimate little bar date. OKAY FOODS & DRINKS: * you can't really go wrong with drinks here- I love their rotating cocktails & mocktails and my boyfriend loves trying their different taps. * The House fries are SCRUMPTIOUS and a pretty decent size to share!! * Of the small amount of times I've ordered their wings, they've always came out crispy and tasty. Honestly, you can't go wrong with a visit to Cedar Room and there's also a theater right next to it!

Love bingo night with queens of Campbell! The energy is absolutely incredible and everyone feels like family! I came on a night where they had a Barbie theme and it was such a great pre birthday celebration Food was pretty good and service was amazing considering how packed it was. I would show up at least an hour early if you want a table!

Bingo night with the Queens of Campbell (which happens every other Wednesday) was extraordinary!! We arrived 1 hour 15 minutes early (start time was 7:30pm) and there were only a few tables/seats left, most outside in the patio... but the staff was awesome moving us closer to the "stage" and eventually inside as cancellations/no-shows occurred. Regardless of where you sit, the queens dance around to all the tables throughout the venue. We enjoyed dinner and drinks before (and during) the show. Service was outstanding! All of the food exceeded our expectations. I've had food and drinks here many times, both while watching movies at the Pruneyard Cinemas theater (as they serve food/drinks directly to your seat in the auditoriums) and stopping by the bar after catching a film in the attached theater. But it's been a while, so I was reminded that you get what you pay for here, and that's decent portions and quality ingredients, for a slightly higher price. Totally worth it! The breaded mushrooms were juicy and flavorful with a light breading, not too heavy, sauce on the side unnecessary. The mac and cheese with the buffalo chicken was amazing, cheesy, just the right amount of sauce, and not too spicy, with a generous amount of tender diced chicken to balance out the carbs. The tri tip french dip was tasty as well, the au jus not too salty, and the lightly salted fries cooked perfectly, simple but so satisfying. All of the drinks we tried had great flavor (royal garden, vampire cosmo, when harry met sally, and a special jameson lavender cocktail for the event), but were light on the alcohol and not as good as the food. For the Queens of Campbell drag queen bingo event, the entertainment was nonstop, including audience members celebrating weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions being put on the spot (even dressed up by the queens in RuPaul's drag race style), bingo tie breakers with winners dancing for the crowd, and an engaging wig contest. And it's free to attend and play (and watch and enjoy the show too), with prizes including gift cards for Pruneyard Cinemas and even Southwest Airlines (this past Wed). Well, it's not REALLY free, cuz it's too fun and delicious not to spend money on food and drinks while you're there (and of course tip the staff and entertainers). But you do get free bingo cards with every item you purchase. The ambience here is awesome for a girls night out (or guys) or date night, casual but classy, great decor and decent lighting, and an energetic atmosphere during special events. Great music before and after the show, mostly pop hits while we were there. They also do karaoke on Sundays, and live music on other days. Cedar Room is sooo much more than just a bar attached to the movie theater!!!

i don't like taking someone picture but she was cursing at us so deserves to be recognized

Unfortunately I do not remember what I had...except for one that had "absinthe" which was obviously the fake American version of it. Each cocktail has a very thorough description so you can pick and choose to your liking. Every cocktail was about $17 each. Which is pricey! but that's how it is these days. But you should be assured the quality here is real good. I had to dock 1 star for the interesting choice of leaving the emergency door ajar all night the time i went. While it did help with the steamy temps inside, wow did it ruin the night for those who sit close to the door! It was very cold and windy so maybe leaving it too open was an uninformed choice. Parking is tricky, it's mostly street. There's some residential areas you can park at if you don't mind walking farther. Definitely going back, but a little farther away from the door next time.

The owner took the time to…read moreexplain to us the inspiration behind the dishes and that really made the restaurant super inviting. We started with the crab crostini and the Brussels sprouts. The crab was very fresh and each crostini had a large portion of crab on top. The Brussels sprouts were very crispy and very umami with the cheese and bacon combination mixed in. The empanada was honestly a showstopper. I don't know how to describe it other than you have to try it. Both pastas were good but I prefer the mushroom one over the short rib ragu. The halibut was also good, and the basil sauce made it even better. I was already super impressed with everything but I think the stars were the 2 desserts. The Dubai cheesecake was an Italian style cheesecake, so it was a lot lighter than I was expecting (which was welcomed) and captured the essence of Dubai chocolate without being too overwhelming. The Lira in Wonderland was also SO good. It had a crown of cotton candy and was a mix of biscoff cookies, dehydrated red velvet cake (don't knock it till you try it), butterscotch sauce, and strawberries. I was honestly blown away by this meal.

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.
