He took his time walking through the space, carefully explaining placement options, layout considerations, and how everything would ultimately look and function. What really stood out was his ability to think beyond the obvious--he brought up several ideas and design elements that I hadn't even considered, which added a lot of value to the consultation. I've met with several pool companies, and Richard is by far the most knowledgeable and thoughtful professional I've encountered. He clearly has deep expertise and takes pride in doing things the right way. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering a pool project. I will post a before and after pic once the pool and hardscape are done

We had a great experience with Blue Moon all the way from beginning to end. Because of the detailed presentation and price estimation given by John Virissimo, my wife and I decided to go with them. The project manager, Rick Higareda, was very helpful and instrumental in getting the job completed to our satisfaction and we were very happy with the tile and plaster options offered by Blue Moon. What really made us feel good about our decision to go with them was, a few months after the job was completed, there was a small issue and John personally handled it the very next day which is very rare, these days. Our pool has never looked better! We highly recommend Blue Moon Pools.

They did a pressure check for me and gave me a bid that involved moving the plumbing for the pump and the gas line for the heater a few feet. I was happy with them and I really liked the owner. It's been a few years because I ran it into some greater financial priorities. But I recently contacted them and they declined to do the work for me. I asked why and they said they're not doing projects like that. However, I would've been coming to them when it's time to plaster my pool and do the coping and tile. But now I will seek elsewhere. I just don't like that kind of way of doing business.

They weren't the cheapest quote, but we picked them because they were so professional and communicative. Also, they were able to do the entire pool and surrounding hardscape. Marc helped us through the entire process and I can't say enough nice things about him. The crews on site every day were absolute perfectionists. They took their time and did an amazing job. A friend of mine had her pool and yard redone at the same time. She had a rough experience with bad communication, unnecessary delays, and several problems that had to be redone. When she saw how well our pool remodel went, she wished she had gone with Sundancer. Give them a call and ask for Marc. You will be glad you did! This is the fourth time I've used Gardner to remodel a pool over the last half a century. On each of those four jobs, Gardner has done an excellent job without any problems or delays. Once you use a company and get good service, you are likely to use them again. That has certainly been my experience with Gardner. All of their employees did an excellent job and were respectful of our property. My pool service technician services 80 pools and he told me that our pool remodeling was the best he has ever seen. He told me a litany of horror stories about botched remodeling jobs and lawsuits that some of his clients have had using these cheap "fly by night" pool remodeling companies. This time, Gardener installed a turtle in the bottom of the pool that looks like a real turtle swimming in the pool. If you are going to remodel a pool, I would consider a turtle or some other sea creature. It really adds a nice touch to your pool.

This review may seem overdue as Zier Pools completed my project in August 2025. I can speak not only to my Zier Pools construction experience but also to the quality of their work and their follow-through post-project completion. We reached out to Zier Pools and began working with Andrew and Jay on a full front & backyard remodel, including a pool, spa, kitchen, hardscape, landscape, deck, etc. We had purchased a home with a yard that was basically dirt, concrete, brick and overgrown trees. We shared a few ideas with Andrew and Jay about what we were looking for. By our first sit down meeting, they had brought the project to life better than we had envisioned. Working with Andrew, Jay and the entire Zier Pools team was phenomenal. We prefer to support local family businesses and Zier Pools did not disappoint. Jay has immense experience and a ton of valuable contacts he connected us with. Communication throughout the project was incredible. Andrew always had time to answer questions or address issues that came up. Both Andrew and Jay were very present throughout the entire project. We ended up with a front & back yard, completed in the estimated timeline, that exceeded our expectations. Post project, we reached out to Zier Pools regarding a patio cover and a pool light issue and both were handled quickly and completely. Neighbors and people who pass by stop and comment on how much they love the front yard and anyone who has seen the backyard raves about the design and functionality. Zier Pools most definitely delivered the WOW factor and created a space that feels like a vacation retreat. We are beyond grateful to Zier Pools and highly recommend that anyone looking to install a pool check in with them before choosing a contractor.

We resurfaced, re-tiled, reset the coping, split the drains, changed out the lights in both the pool & spa, & shallowed the deep end from 9ft to 5 1/2 ft, & created a longer bench in the deeper end of the pool. For the resurfacing we used Tropics Blue Mini Pebble, recommended by Shelby, our amazing Project Coordinator, & we love it! It actually looks a little different throughout the day depending on the amount of sunlight. The entire Capstone team is impressive! They make you feel like you are their only client. Travis came out to give us our estimate & was great at suggestions to help us reach our vision & stay within budget. Aubrey & Shelby were incredible at communication regarding scheduling, responding to the many questions we had about the details, & when any issues arose, communicating to the team. Cameron always made time to stop by for finishing touches & made sure we were happy. Unfortunately, I don't remember everyone's name who worked on our pool/spa, but all were punctual, professional, friendly, respectful, & worked very hard! We highly recommend Capstone for your pool & spa resurfacing & renovations!

Issues are similar to other complaints I have…read moreread on here. 1 - Surface is inconsistent and rough. 2 - No guidance on what to do when the pool was finished. Created additional issues with the finish that aren't reasonably fixable. 3 - They poked fun at the existing spa control location, half under water. Said they would resolve that so it would be above water, then apparently forgot and installed it in the same spot. It shorts, blows the breaker, so is unusable. They said they would come out and fix it each time it has an issue and did so once. Now they don't respond. 4 - Spa light doesn't work, not sealed properly. About $25k for a pretty second rate job. I guess it was during Covid and these pool companies were swamped, but they don't even bother responding to requests to fix the spa controls and have nothing to say about the finish issues. It's bad enough work that whenever we sell the house, it will certainly count against the value of the home.
