I want to start off by saying I was pleasantly surprised on the transformation done on my boots, they looked brand new. I requested a new sole replacement which included new laces & cleaning & oiling the leather as well for $120 on a $270 boot. I also want to address how the owner is old school. ( He barely knows what Yelp is lol) I read some reviews where he gives the impression of being rude, but he's just very honest & blunt straight to the point on whether or not he can accomplish the task & he explained to me personally how he won't sacrifice quality just to meet a customers last minute expedited request. With that being said the turn around was 3 weeks, which is okay, but he even showed me and explained as to why this process can be time consuming and the bonding of the boot cannot be rushed. I recommend due to quality & I will be bringing my boots here from now on. read more

I went for an assessment to fix a purse which I inherited from a loving aunt. The owner looked it over on all sides where it is coming apart, pulling it inside and out, trying to find a way to cover the ripped sections; he thought it over and frankly he said it would not be possible to fix it. It would not flow right and the purse would not look good. This caused me sadness, but I appreciated very much his sincerity and honesty. I wish I had the before pictures to show how faded and scuffed up these boots were. The soles had holes worn through, They were a gift from my son's grandma who had passed and he just could not let them go. I brought them to CC Shoe repairs and requested the soles be replaced and honestly didn't even realize the boots themselves could be restored. The results were a brand new pair of boots. The value of repairing them verses buying a new pair was about 1/3 the price. The value of restoring grandma's gift, priceless. read more

I could kick myself for coming here for having the heel taps replaced on my oldest daughter's shoes. I did my homework-I read at least 6 positive, 5-star reviews and was convinced that I would be making the trip out to Canyon Crest today. I wish that I would have read EVERY SINGLE REVIEW though! Ugh! I walk in to the shop -my elderly mom tagged along. The owner (I am assuming) doesn't look up, doesn't greet us. He is speaking with a customer who had some brown cowboy boots on the counter. Mind you, I understand a mom-and-pop establishment can run their business however they want. It's their business, right? So my mom, being the most friendliest, chipper, 76 year old grandma that she is calls out "Good Morning!" Still no eye contact, no acknowledgment, no "hey I'll be right with you." The owner and the customer continue their conversation like we were two invisible little Asians. Ok cool, whatever bro, it's YOUR business, I totally get it. Said customer leaves. Owner's facial expressions were "ugh, what do you want?!" yet out of his mouth was "what can I help you with?" Ok fine, you're the man. Act however you want as we did interrupt your pretty freaking amazing convo with your customer. He doesn't look at us by the way-still no eye contact. I pull out my daughter's heels. He takes a look, puts them down so he can write out his service ticket. He asks "When do you need them by?" Still doesn't look up, still no eye contact. I reply, "Tuesday or Wednesday." He pauses for a moment (still doesn't look up, mind you) and with a sigh he says "Monday afternoon. After 4. Twelve dollars." Still no eye contact. I'm big on eye contact, can you tell? I ask, "Do I pay you now?" and he says "Yes, pay now." Doesn't count back my change. (It's ok, I might suck at maths but I figured out my change lol) He then turns away. Don't forget about super chipper 76 year old Mom that accompanied me! She whips out a ring of keys as we have both noticed the left corner of his shop has the look of a key maker. She tells Mister Owner, "We drove out from blah blah blah and I was told that this key needed to be made by a locksmith..." he holds out his hands as if to say, "well, ok hurry, give them to me!" Chipper Gma/Mom hands him the keys and starts telling him it was a key to my recently dearly departed Dad's trailer. By this time, I am in my own zone. One high and low top converse where the white stripping was definitely off the sole, a vans slippers where the surrounding rubber was hanging by a thread, and two Calvin Klein dress shoes. He examined the converse and vans for a few seconds and explained to me how he would repair them. I then showed him the dress shoes and the cobbler informed me that he could technically repair them, but the shoe would lose form and about a centimeter of leather would be lost to bind them. Its located in Canyon Crest which is not to bad of a drive from Moreno Valley. At my old shop it was always drop off your shoes and come back in a few hours and they would be ready. What a great surprise, when my dad and I get there he takes my shoe and fixes the heel in less than 5 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. Saw that this place had tons of good reviews and it's not far from home so I stopped in to see about getting my husband's shoes shined. When I walked in the store looks pretty empty and I waited a minute or two for a man to come out. He came out and wasn't very welcoming. I spoke first and let him know I don't know much about getting shoes shined but showed him my husbands shoes. He very rudely asked what was on the shoes; my husband had tried to shine them himself and not done the best job. I explained to him we were going to an upscale restaurant for a wedding anniversary dinner and just wanted the shoes to look nice, he told me we shouldn't have put anything on the shoes with an attitude. I then asked if he could do the shine and could they be done within a week and a half. Then he put the shoes back in the counter and said he couldn't do it and he couldn't do the shine. The whole dang platform started peeling off the bottom of the heel! I brought them in hoping he could save them and OMG i could cry tears of joy! After finally buying a pair of Louboutin I realized they were too high and slippery, I know how to walk in heels but this pair was just so painful. I saw some videos on YouTube and a few girls would take their red bottoms to a shoe repair to down size and get the slip resistant on the bottom. I went to CC Shoe repair and he was straight forward, no filter which was awesome because I do not like FAKE, left them for a week and once I got them back the difference was huge!!! Parking is annoying on weekends but the guy does awesome work so it keeps up coming back. Today we dropped off another pair of shoes that will need conditioning and a repair to a hole. He looked at the shoes and told me that it was a quick fix that I could actually do by myself. He told me how to fix them. He could have easily taken my money to do the easy fix himself, but instead he explained to me how I could quickly and easily fix them. He seemed like a very honest man. The owner of this place is magical. Like Geppetto. I was devastated when my sneaky doggie decided he wanted to use my favorite heels as his chew toy. I thought they were completely ruined - one of the heels was completely gnawed and misshapen, and the tap was missing (on a ~4 inch stiletto heel). I was sadly going to throw them out, but I thought I would drop by this repair place as a last resort. YAY! I don't know how he did it , but they were magically fixed, nearly as good as new, and much cheaper than a new pair of shoes. Since then, I have been back to this place for a few odd jobs. I find the stretching particularly useful. Some shoes are so pretty, they simply aren't designed for comfort. $9 to stretch some killer shoes has saved me many blisters. Just tell him where it hurts and you can skip an uncomfortable or painful break-in phase. I've also had several copies of my house keys made here. Yes, not only does he fix shoes, he makes keys! Done in seconds. He even has keys with cute designs and sports teams (yay, Lakers key for me) so you can always tell them apart on your keychain. Simpler than going to Home Depot and hunting down the key person. BTW, besides being magical, the owner of this place is just a really nice guy. I don't live in Riverside anymore, but I happily drive out to CC for any shoe repairs. read more

I told him about the heel tip as well as some scratches and scuffs on my shoes. My heels were patent leather so its harder to fix up the scratches. He told me it was $9 and it'll take 2 days. When I came in today to see the shoes I was so impressed!!! They look almost brand new. The tip was badly damaged before and now they're all fixed up.
