I ordered the food thru delivery. Small portion and it was not the same experience I had in the other Cazba.

When I arrived the food was ready, however, not a single staff member was helpful and actually quite rude as I tried to get my order. Ended up speaking to a host and 4 staff just to figure out the pick up. When I got home the food did not match what was was described, salmon skewers were only baked salmon filet, the $9.99 salad was less than a cup of diced tomato and cucumber and the beef skewer was dry and under seasoned. Surprising considering how many great reviews there are. With so many choices for great Persian food on the North Shore I will go some place else next time.

Portions are healthy, bring your appetite. I asked for jalapeño peppers and got several huge ones in a bowl. Bonus: they were spicy and I was a happy camper. (I don't think they charged us for them.) The peppers added even more flavor to the lamb shoulder entree I sprung for. The dill rice was a treat too, huzzah. Service was on-point. Staff helped with our questions on the dishes, and put up with my usual atrocious behavior[1]. Early in the evening we heard this playing https://www.shazam.com/track/802578689/youre-still-the-one and later on the tempo went up. Good times. Credit accepted. [1] Kidding, kidding. Look forward to returning!

Unfortunately, choosing Delara for my mother's birthday was a major disappointment. My Tamarind Herb Stew was overwhelmingly sour and one-dimensional. I could not distinguish the beef, herbs, caramelized onions or shallots described on the menu. The tahdig was wet and not remotely crispy. My mother's Chicken & Barberries was also disappointing. I could detect almost none of the saffron flavour or charcoal aroma described on the menu, and the rice was similarly poor. Most of both main courses remained on our plates. What made the experience worse was the lack of follow-up. During the main course, nobody came to ask whether everything was satisfactory, even though most of our food was clearly being left untouched. Afterward, I read other negative reviews describing the same lack of attention during the meal. Of course I cannot know the reason, but when this happens repeatedly it creates the unfortunate impression that staff may prefer not to invite feedback while there is still an opportunity to address the problem. Flatbread arrived with butter but no butter knife, and even getting salt and pepper from another server took far too long. By the time our server finally asked about the meal, the evening was already spoiled and we had no desire to order dessert. I have since apologized to my mother for choosing this restaurant for her birthday. They applied a 50% discount to my stew, but this was never about saving $20. It was about the quality of the food, the service, the importance of the occasion, and the value of our time. What I find especially disappointing is the gap between the attractive menu descriptions and what was actually served. When a restaurant sells an experience through words like saffron, charcoal-grilled, tahdig, herbs and caramelized onions, those descriptions should be reflected in the food. Otherwise, customers are being sold an expectation that the plate does not deliver. Customers should pay attention to these details and be demanding about both quality and service. Reviews, awards and recommendations may help us choose a restaurant, but they should never stop us from judging what is actually in front of us.

**Will not honour valid gift cards**…read more Have been a customer for many years. Recently, found some gift cards I purchased awhile back and went with my boyfriend for lunch at the Cazba Davie location to redeem the gift cards on December 29, 2025. Long story short, they refused to honour the gift cards because they "changed their computer system" and said the gift cards therefore expire and cannot be used. I told them that the terms and conditions of the gift card literally states to use the gift card like "cash" and according to BC laws that gift cards are not allowed to be expired unless in very specific circumstances, which does not include a system change. Eventually, their general manager, Mr. Behruz Sigari, spoke to me on the phone and promised that he would call Moneris to find out my gift card balance and then contact me with a resolution soon. I left with his email (b.sigari@gmail.com) and emailed him twice but he has never replied. Clearly, they are willing to engaged in unethical and illegal business practices stealing funds from customers even when educated about gift card laws. I have since reported them to Consumer Protection BC and will never be a customer of their's for their lies and horrible treatment. Lesson learned: always use your gift cards as soon as you can.

Insanely tasty happy hour!…read more We were staying across the street at The Sandman and wandered into The Cazba for an early dinner. It turned out to be the meal of the trip. We started with Kashke Bademjan - an insanely delicious eggplant dip served with Barbari (a leavened flatbread) and Shashlik (mini lamb chops), and followed by Mini Loghmeh (minced beef/lamb kebab). We also had Koobideh wraps (kebabs, onions, & spices in lavash wraps) which we took back to the room b/c there was so much food! Many "yummy noises" were made during this meal! Truely a culinary delight. Service was friendly and attentive.
