Shazdeh D.

We were a group of eight. With no reservation walked in & right away they made a table for us.Zahra our server very nice. We ordered chicken kabob some with dill rice, lamb, kabob Torsh, salmon kabob with dill rice. Everything was delicious. Portions are very generous. As appetizers we ordered masto mosir a bit runny butwas ok . Good food good service.

Best kabob Koobideh I've had in a very long time. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and highly recommended. Service was attentive and the staff had great harmony Working together. I'm never going anywhere else and Will be back soon.

Service is far from good, they are friendly but not very fast or careful with your needs. I think Joojeh Kabab or the Chicken Kebab is the best choice to order here it's flavourful and juicy, Baghali Polo however was tasteless and the lamb didn't look fresh to me. They also serve homemade doogh that I loved.

I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend and the food did not disappoint! I tried the eggplant dip and I absolutely loved the Vaziri, which is their chicken and beef skewer. I also tried the chicken leg with barberry rice, which was also really good in that it comes with a chicken sauce and the barberry rice adds a nice acidity to the richness of the dish. The portions here are very generous and you'll be happily full when you leave.

Geez I was reading some of the reviews for Khaghan and there seems to be a lot of negativity! Hahaha... Man I like this place! My gf and I were out of a Saturday night and hungry! We tried our tried and true favourite.... Saku (the pork chop place)... we tried both locations West Broadway and the Robson Street location... No luck the line ups were crazy! I vowed that I would NEVER come to this restaurant on the weekends again looking for a meal! The pork chops are good but not worth waiting in line for an hour plus! Anyways we were down around Robson and Davie... looking for some place to eat.... I said lets go off road and try something completely different! Something we usually won't even look at... Thus we ended up a Khaghan Restaurant! First off you can get a table on a Saturday night! I think the staff is super friendly and helpful. Given my complete ignorance about Persian food I had to rely on the staff to make suggestions! We had a eggplant dip on pita bread for our appetizer... Really good! Super flavourful and yummy.... I would definitely recommend it! For a main course I had the Vaziri... boneless chicken and a ground beef based skewer... The chicken was all white meat but it was super juicy and flavourful. Probably the best white meat chicken I've had a while! The beef skewer was very flavourful too! Savoury and super delish!!! Also, you get a mountain of Persian rice to deal with! It's yummy! Not as sticky as Chinese rice. I actually prefer it over chinese rice! We ended up sharing some baklava for dessert!.... Overall, I would say we want to come back to this place and try it again! There are lots of new dishes that we are unfamiliar with! It's good to be adventurous sometimes... go out of your comfort zone!

Good food and service! I would say one of the best Persian foods in Vancouver. Really liked it. Staff was nice too. I hope they keep up with great work.

Food: not the best Persian food. They use short cuts and have poor technique. The tahdig was soggy. I brought it to the waiters attention who didn't really care. The kabob didn't have much flavor and the rice was flooded with bar berries. I would pass and look for other Persian restaurants. The ambiance is nice. The staff seem to prefer their own Persians over non Persians. So bring your token Persian friend with you.

Best Persian food on the west coast. Rivals the biggest names in La. I am visiting from Westwood and have been here 3 times in 2 days

I've always wanted to do something like this but have been a bit nervous to do so but he made the class fun, funny, and so easy! You have the chance to make 3 bespoke artisan cocktails during this 3 hour class, 2 of their signatures and then the 3rd Aaron let us pick! He made it so easy and explained each step well, also how to use the tools properly along with sharing some great tips on shaking, measuring and also the importance of balance in your cocktail. I enjoyed every minute as well as consuming the cocktails after... each so delicious made with their in house liquors. If I had room I would have bought several bottles with me to take home!

Aaron came out as we were looking for Plan B and let us know the event had just ended and they were open again. (5 loud cheers on the street for sure!) I tried both the Kyoto and Wet Work, enjoying them both. They would even work as a blend of one another. My dad accidentally ordered a chocolate martini instead of an espresso martini, and Aaron made it happen. (The entire table loved it! Take that poured over some ice cream and I'd be far too content!) My brother had the gin martini, and while not a fan of gin straight up, it had a nice smooth finish that I could appreciate.

Mussels were fresh and the cream sauce was not oily. Duck confit with lentils are classic pairing but done well. Duck was not salty. French fries seasoned well. The star was the pomme dauphine, hot, rich, cheesy but not heavy. French cooking done well. Treated ourselves with a lemon tart but it was not what we imagined. This was more of a family style tart with great pastry, set cream, and poached pears. The flavours and textures were amazing and balanced. Glad we splurged on the dessert.

We were pleasantly stuffed by the end of the meal and overall it was about a 2.5 hr dining experience. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter described each dish and the chef came to out to meet and asked if we have any allergies or specific foods that needed to be omitted. If you speak French french, you'll find that some of the staff are from France and are more than happy to converse. The restaurant definitely changed my perspective on classic French foods and dishes in a good way. I will be not so patiently waiting for my next visit back soon!

This was fine with us since the goal was to have a couple of drinks and stuff ourselves with some burgers and fries from Hundy (the burger joint we needed to go through to get to Stock Room). I started with the dangerous liaison cocktail (beefeater gin, peach, lemon, sugar, butterfly pea flower). This was a solid drink, refreshing and hit the spot. My second drink was spreadsheet (beefeater, st. germain, lime, strawberry syrup, green strawberry bitters). I enjoyed this drink better as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor profile was more to my taste when it comes to cocktails. I'm happy to have found another bar to add to my list of places to grab a good drink in Vancouver.

Didn't taste very fresh and the orange vinaigrette sauce didn't do anything to help it. The jasmine rice balls were an interesting touch. Wouldn't recommend Shishitos and cauliflower ($14) - the cauliflower florets were nice but the shishitos were lacking that snap you get (it was a bit soggy). Wouldn't recommend Steamed Bao bun with butter prawn masala ($21) - this was one of the highlights of the night. The butter masala went so well with the Bao bun and it soaked up that sauce perfectly. Loved the snap from the shrimp but wish there was more of it dispersed throughout the dish. Definitely get this dish Crab satay ($19) - this dish was weird... The crab was misled by the flavour of the peanut sauce and it just didn't work well together as a dish. Each component was fine on its own but nothing worked together. The cabbage salad felt like just an afterthough. Would not recommend. Sweet and sour pork belly ($16) - this dish was also interesting - it felt more like just a crispy pork belly. That's it. The sweet and sour sauce felt non- existent. There needed to be another punch in this dish to make it more complete. Wouldn't recommend Sea bass ($37) - this dish was great. Loved the texture of the sea bass. The potato gnocchi was a nice touch and that Goan curry sauce went really well with everything. Wouldn't order again Beef Kad Pra kao ($29) - this was another miss. The beef wasnt chewy but it lacked flavour. It needed more basil in it to bring out the flavour. Nothing about this dish impressed. Wouldn't order again Dubai chocolate bar ($17) - absolutely delicious. Loved the crispness of the chocolate crumb offset by the softness of the dense pistachio creme and the chocolate ganache. The little bits of the rose petals gave it that essence that it needed. It wasn't overly sweet. Would get this again Overall quite a few missed and some great dishes. The serving sizes are appropriate for the price. The service was great and not overbearing. Definitely try the steamed bun, the sea bass and the Dubai chocolate bar. My biggest issue with the dishes were that the garnished were almost the same for every dish. I understand it's for the pop of colour but it was so repetitive and didn't add any value to the fish other than the pop of colour (the green shoots and the red radish). I had the spiced Guatemalan carajillo it was pretty smooth and not too sweet. I would want to try their other drinks as they have quite an extensive menu.

We ordered earlier in the day, and the shucker was clearly alert, taking the extra steps to ensure a clean finish. Truffle fries were indulgent and perfectly crisp, though the garlic aioli was milder than I prefer -- almost like straight mayo without a punch. I skipped the sushi wrap, sticking to my traditionalist ways, but my friend enjoyed it. Brownie bites, complimentary as they were, were a disappointment. Lacking enough fat and possibly stored improperly, they tasted a bit stale -- a shame, because how does a brownie not taste good? Gosh, we wanted to love this hotels food options so much after discovering the hotel itself…read morerecently. Sadly after visiting the rooftop twice for happy hour and once for dinner with an announced significant birthday number shared, and two breakfast's a three is all we can muster. It should be so much more, but the food lets down the entire experience. Our service was good, with delightful people helping our experience. That said service is slow, with details that should be spot on, not even evident. Water glasses left empty forever, promises made, not even brought up again. When the reservation was made a question was asked of an event for the dinner out. A 60th birthday was mentioned, acknowledged, and when sat by our server and nothing further. To be fair K would rather it all go by unannounced, but when it's all over the paperwork a small recognition should be there. The space itself, is not on a rooftop at all, but it's a beautiful high ceilings restaurant that deserves a far better kitchen. Our price fixe menu for two at $155 or so was definitely not worth the price at all. The steak was uniformly medium when med rare was the ask. There was a tiny bit of medium rare at one end, but the vast majority was medium or more. The torch of the butter on the steak, looked good from afar prior to our serving, but right in front of you looks almost comical. Our breakfasts were average at best, again service was ok, but the food was not where it should be, in fact not even close. We'd ponder staying at the hotel again due to location, but we'd not eat here.
