UGH! Let me paint this picture for you: I'm in town visiting my family for Labor Day weekend, we decide that we are going to head over to Mercato to walk around, shop, sit somewhere, chat and ultimately just spend time together. It's a Monday night, around 5:30-6pm; it's me, my boyfriend, my dad and my sister. As we are walking around my dad (who is a local) says 'ooohh this place is new, looks so cool, let's sit outside and hang out.' We all agree, I walk in with my BF and my sister to ask for a table for, four, outside. Immediately the hostess asks how old my sister is, I say 19, she tells me no we can't seat you guys. I ask 'even at a table outside, we don't expect to sit AT the bar with a minor?!' She tells me no, she then goes off to ask a manager (or whoever it was). While she's gone another hostess walks up, asking if we need help..I mentioned what the previous hostess told us, she says as long as it's not at the bar, no problem. We think alright, cool, we're back on track. Then here comes the other hostess 'oh yes we can sit you' so as we walk outside (she's behind us w/ menus) she stops as someone walks up to her then decides 'no we can't seat you because she's not 21'. After seeing our facial expressions she then asks if we wanted to speak to a manager, originally we said, yes, then on second thought decided 'why even bother spending money here!' We walked around the corner to Tap House where we sat outside, the four of us, laughing, enjoying each others company and the company of our two servers- who were wonderful might I add. The thing that bothered me most is that you're in an outside shopping/restaurant strip mall there are FAMILIES spending the day shopping/walking around constantly. How can you deny a family of four on a Monday evening a seat?? This isn't Saturday night at 10pm when it's 'club/bar hours' where you ID and turn people away for being under 21... it's a Monday evening, around dinner time. The food is certainly delicious. They have good happy hour specials on apps(half off). The drinks are also half off. However, you won't get a buzz drinking on Cavo drinks. They're as weak as a newborn baby. That was my biggest issue with the place. I would go to Blue and have a drink first then have an app or entree at Cavo. read more

This place is so fun but the staff is so incredibly rude and aggressive it's almost unbearable to watch. A couple of guys were having an argument. Two bouncers came blazing in with their flashlights and dragged them out of the bar on the ground. Love to dance but not here for the staff induced violence. read more

I heard fabulous things about the small plates at Cavo and had to give it a try. We ordered sliders, ceviche, and cavatelli. The ceviche was very flavorful but the portion was so small and it came with maybe five chips. Looked pretty cheap when presented. The sliders and cavatelli were decent size portions and both delicious. We ordered drinks the martini glass comes half full and each round of the same drink tasted different and inconsistent. That was a little disappointing. Service was extremely slow and they were not even busy, it had to be less than half full. There was live entertainment and it was so dull that I didn't even notice it until someone at my table commented what a waste of money having the guitar player was as he was not a true entertainer. Four times I have attempted to enter this place, and all 4 times I have been turned away at the door. I understand dress code policies, as nearly all bars in the Mercato have them after a certain hour, but this place is just completely ridiculous. I live across the street in Naples Park, so coming to the Mercato for drinks makes sense since it's a quick walk or Uber ride there and back. The last attempt to enter this place was basically the last straw for me. I will never, repeat EVER, come here again or recommend it to anyone. On Friday I came wearing khaki dress shorts, a polo shirt and sneakers. I was turned away at the door (no surprise, it's happened before) so I decided to go to the Blue Martini instead. After 8pm is when most places begin to enforce the dress policy, so after 8 I went home, changed and came back wearing dress pants, polo shirt and dress shoes. I came to Cavo first since I had never been able to get in before, thinking that surely they would let me in now. No go. The bouncer at the door wouldn't let me in. He said that he had already told me once that I couldn't come in. I explained to him that I had gone home and changed, and pointed out that I was now dressed nicer than most of the people inside that I could clearly see. No dice. The bouncer must not have liked the way I looked or something because he absolutely refused to let me in the door, even going so far as to put his hand on my chest to create a physical barrier which was completely unnecessary (I let him know it too). After about 3 minutes of attempting to reason with this jacka** (and being thoroughly humiliated I might add), I decided that they didn't deserve my money and opted to go to Burn instead, where I was warmly greeted and let in without any problems whatsoever. That night we also hit the Blue Martini again and 2 other venues before leaving, none of which had ANY issues whatsoever with the way I was dressed. This place doesn't deserve my money, and they will never get it. I will also make sure to let everyone know about my experience so they can steer clear of this place as well. read more

Don't be fooled! The feta melon salad is not a salad. It was a 2 pieces of feta and 2 prices of watermelon on a plate which charges you $13. The "chef's special sliders" was really 3 small hamburgers with greasy French fries. If you want hamburgers, save your money and go to McDonald's. Finally we got the zucchini chips, with a side of lard attached to it. It was so greasy that you could not taste the zucchini. Worst food I had in a long time, and the bill was $70 for the half-put together plates and 1 glass of wine. Save your money, you are better off eating fast food. read more

Cavo lounge is like blue martini without the cover charge. Great atmosphere, though a little loud at times, too many guys, and there's this weird 50-something year old guy who always shows up and hogs the dance floor by dancing alone. The drinks are very pricy, but it's Mercato, so everywhere else in the plaza is almost just as expensive. A good Saturday-night place to take a date or a group of friends who want to dance the night away. Just be sure to pregame first or else you'll each wind up with a 100-something bar tab the next day. read more

We had a work/ holiday party at Cavo. Our service was excellent. She was very sweet and on it. (Long blonde hair) The staff in general had good attitudes which really makes a difference for the overall feel of a place. I appreciated that the tables and chairs were removed to dance. My only slight issue was that the DJ jumped around in genres and would break the flow. The place is packed with latinos. Salsa and merengue gets everyone dancing.. People want and need to dance. There are so few places to dance in Naples.. My recommendation-- drop the top 40 tunes and hip hop.. (In general).. And play music that really makes the hips swerve. Also, it would be a good idea to have a hot Latin duo teaching Salsa etc on a Sunday night, for instance, then roll out the rhythms .. CAVO would pack the place with a latin night.. read more

Great place in Naples. I LOVE that they have happy hour every day until 8pm. Craft cocktails are really good - the Local Harvest is a personal favorite. The tapas plates are good. We were in Naples for a family reunion and celebrating the Aunt Twins 80th Birthdays. After dinner at a very nice restaurant they wanted to go dancing. Nine out of 24 headed there on a Saturday night around 10:30pm. They were letting woman in free and charging men $10 entrance fee. The dance floor is smaller than the website pictures as they have broken the area up with $500 VIP table areas inside. Music and atmosphere nothing special, overpriced drinks and rude staff. Danced a few with my Aunts and cousins, left after 1 hr. Would not go there again for nightlife dancing. Maybe they are OK for food and drink at happy hour but there are so many other options that this place is off my list. read more

Me and my friends eventually ended up here after scouring Naples for a young, lively and hip place to go out, which it turns out is hard to find in Naples (especially coming from Miami) However once we got here we had a great time!! I believe we got here around 10 and stayed until 2am! Great music for dancing and the drummer made it feel lively but we were happy he didn't drum to every song so we could dance. NYC meets Naples. We've now been here 5 times since they opened, and have tried everything (almost) on the menu. This NYC style lounge, is the new hotspot in Naples. The tapas, or small plates is thoroughly embraced here, and it's a great concept. Huge menu, with alternating specials. If you see the ceviche, order 3 and stuff yourself. As good as we've had anywhere in the world. The dishes are all terrific, andwe have never been disapointed with any of them. The vibe is great, and the servers are a hoot, to say the least. If you get Mckenzie from St. Louis, be sure to say hello y'all- she's charming and the gal from Alaska whose name I forget as well. Grat eye candy to say the least. Freindly and personable as well. Jason, the manager, gets it all right- always asking how things are and trying to interact with his customers- the way it should be. The responses about the service befuddle me- we've been there 5 times, always sit outside, and have NEVER waited more than 5 minutes. As to the "greasy burgers and fries" in one revies- she really should go to McD's because she obviously feels that they are better and that's where she belongs. If there is one negative, and it's being addressed is the proximity to Burn. The cigar smoke stinks, and Jason is looking into fans to direct the smke back where it comes from. Yes, it's noisy (loud music) but great ambience. We sat at a high top outside which goes around almost the entire restaurant (much less noisy outside). Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Loved the mango Moscow mule drink. They weren't shy on the alcohol. We had 3 plates and that was just perfect for the two of us. All 3 plates were excellent: tuna tartare with avocado and spicy mayo on side (not too spicy) with tortilla like triangle chips, potato croquettes with prosciutto in them and grilled cheese with Apple & bacon that came with tasty fries. Definitely recommend this place and the items I mentioned. read more

Had a great time for a late happy hour on a Friday. No wait to be seated. They had great deals during happy hour for food and signature cocktails were half off. The croquettes, mussels in curry sauce, and sliders were delicious. Though the menu is limited, the quality of the food made up for it. Waitstaff was on point and provided great, friendly service. The bartenders at Cavo Lounge are horrible. Angela made the drinks dangerously strong. The first cosmopolitan cocktail was like TNT. It was the strongest I had ever tried. I don't know if this is a tactic to get people so buzzed that they just order another drink to pay for. I even ordered an appetizer and was given another cosmopolitan, that Angela had told another bartender, I believe Heidi, to give me. It was apparent that I was already drunk. Not to mention I was alone and I had to drive home. I had 2 cosmopolitans in total and I could not even walk without holding onto a rail for support. Thank God I made it home alive. I was so sick the next day! It was a horrible experience. People go out to enjoy themselves but this doesn't mean you should get them drunk. I have had a cosmopolitan at other restaurants and that never happened. Several weeks ago, I was at the Blue Martini and ordered the same drink...it was not dangerously strong. Maybe the Manager at Cavo Lounge should assess the bartenders mixology skills to ensure they make the drinks not to their discretion for whatever reason, but how it is supposed to be made! Bartender is absolute shit.... I asked for a vodka soda and he gave me top shelf vodka instead of rail. Being a Bartender from a Marriott hotel I know what top shelf is and what a decent price drink goes for. All I have to say I won't return over priced with shitty service. One word for this place: YUM! I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night and we were seated at a high-top (our choice) right away. We had cocktails, grilled cheese, and steak tacos. They have a very generous happy hour window (everyday from 3:30-8PM) so we were able to take advantage of that. We shared the food since they are more tapas-like. The tacos were very yummy and had a lot of flavor, with a hint of spice. They put large sprigs of cilantro on top which were easily picked off since I hate cilantro. The grilled cheese was one-of-a-kind, with bacon and apples. The fries that came with the grilled cheese were delicious! Just the right amount of crispy. I also got the New Fashion and the Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. The New Fashion was delicious and very reminiscent of an old fashioned, but with a twist. I got the Chocolate Raspberry Truffle with dark chocolate (you have the choice of white or dark) and it was the perfect dessert drink- not too sweet, but it definitely satisfies ones sweet tooth. The cherry on top was our very attentive and kind waitress, but I failed to get her name. Overall, a really good restaurant with good entertainment, but it doesn't quite earn 5 stars. read more

IF YOU ARE A MINORITY BE CAREFUL! I'm from Miami. My boyfriend and I went to Naples for vacation. We decided to go to this place as it had decent reviews online. We were sitting at the bar ordering drinks and all of a sudden one of the bouncers (who was white) tapped me on the shoulder and said "That's it, you're done, you need to leave." I asked multiple times why? What was the reason they wanted me gone? What did I do? The man could not articulate a reason as to why, he simply continued to repeat himself "That's it, you're done, you need to leave." He then threatened to call the cops on me. I ended up walking out and waiting for my boyfriend outside as he paid for the tab. I was already outside and another man (who was also white) told me I had to be "behind the gate" and went on to open the gate and pushed me back. I was the only dark skinned woman in the place and it was clear what was going on, especially since I was never informed of the reason as to why I had to leave. Never going back! _________________________________________ Sir, I appreciate your response and the fact that you opened up about being a minority yourself, however I do not have the wrong business. This did happen. I am not accusing you of running a bigoted business, I am simply writing about my experience in your establishment. Of course you are going to say this did not happen or that this is impossible to have had happened at your establishment because it is your establishment. The truth of the matter is you can invest all of your time hiring what you believe is great staff to make sure everything is running great in you place of business but discrimination is still a huge problem in this country whether it be for race, sexual orientation, religious beliefs etc. I asked to speak with the manage that night and the man continued to say "You're done, you need to leave."
