Harissa avocado bowl is light but filling and also claims to be spicy but it wasn't too spicy. My daughter loves their lemon chicken bowl but it's no longer on their menu, you can however, make your own version of it. I really enjoy the saffron basmati rice mixed with some greens. Makes for the perfect healthy lunch or dinner paired with a protein of your choice. They offer lamb here too. You have the option to carry out or dine in with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. As a long-time vegan customer who has supported CAVA in Whittier regularly, I'm extremely disappointed--and honestly, frustrated--with how this location has handled its ongoing issue. For over three weeks, they've been completely out of vegetables, and according to management, it's because their oven is broken. Let me be clear: there are many other ways to cook vegetables. A stovetop, steamer, grill--there are plenty of options. To go this long without finding a solution sends a clear message: vegan and plant-based customers are not a priority here. Each time I've come in hoping things had been resolved, I'm met with the same excuse and a menu that barely accommodates my dietary needs. It feels like CAVA corporate or local management has just written us off. What's worse is that there seems to be no urgency in fixing the issue or offering a reasonable alternative. I genuinely used to enjoy coming here and appreciated having a place where I could build a flavorful and filling vegan bowl. But it's hard to support a business that doesn't value all of its customers equally. Until this is addressed--and fixed--I won't be returning. Do better, CAVA. read more

I like Cava! It's basically a Mediterranean version of Chipotle. You start by choosing a bowl or wrap. Then you choose your base, your dips, main (proteins), toppings, and dressing, which you can get on the side or on their bowl or wrap. The service is good. You just let them know what you want as you go down the line. The store is clean and they have tables inside and outside to sit. Definitely a nice fast food option when you want fresh food that is also healthy-ish. read more

SplendidGreens, saffron basmati rice, harissa, crazy feta, tzatziki, grilled chicken, fire roasted corn, pickled onions, tomato + cucumber, shredded romaine, pita crisps, and garlic dressing. My first time finally trying Cava and it did not disappoint. The greens were crisp and all the toppings were fresh. Maybe I arrived at a good time but it seems the location had steady business. The shopping center is busy so good luck with parking. The staff was friendly and gave me time to make up my mind on what to order since it was my first time without feeling rushed. They also gave input when asked what were most popular items. The pricing is reasonable considering the amount of food you get. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Basically Cava is a Chipotle style Mediterranean food joint.... This store is remodeling some of the tables on one side and I just wanted to sober up a bit after the big Yelp event so I wanted to grab a bite that was Vegan somewhere nearby since I was a bit buzzed... Service is standard like any fast casual place and the store was clean. It was pretty busy for 9PM but it closes at 10PM so some of the drinks were out already and the guy wanted to clean up the drinks (they have other tea/citrus/fruity drinks as well as fountain) at about 9:30...fine with me since I didn't get any of them. Food was just okay to me I go to other Mediterranean places all the time and the falafel here just plain sucked! I got a lentils grains bowl with 4 dinky pieces of falafel that were dry, bad texture and really not good at all. Added traditional hummus red pepper hummus and roasted eggplant dip...added a few toppings and lemon herb tahini for the dressing.... Overall for the price and quality I would rather go to other Lebanese, Mediterranean or Greek restaurants and pay a little more for more food and better quality. read more

Its my go too place for lunch break. Food is tasty and healthy! A lot better than the Pasadena location in terms of speedy service and overall presentation. Most people get the rice plate but I recommend the custom pita with Greek yogurt and harissa a long with garlic sauce and the green sauce towards the end of the condiment line. read more

If it takes some additional time to prep your plate, find a seat and they'll call you when it's ready. Some have described the experience as being somewhat like Chipotle. On this visit, our party ordered one greens and grains bowl w/ chicken ($11.75); one grains bowl w/ chicken ($11.75); one spicy lamb meatball pita sandwich ($14.05); and two fountain beverages ($3.35/ea). With tax ($4.54), the ticket was $48.79. As to the taste of the meals--I think the term "Mediterranean-style" is key. The plates definitely are derived from Greek influences--but it's not really Greek food. The flavors are not as strong as a true Greek café or gyros shop, but that's ok. I'm a bit torn as to the value of the meals. I feel like the price per plate verged on being expensive; but when I look at the number of staff behind the counter, I recognize the labor input cost.
