The customer service at this CAVA location is very hit or miss. They run through employees and there seems to be a language barrier. I went during free pita chips promo and the team working that day acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. To make matters worst the person on the cash register spoke the least amount of English. I ended up paying for pita chips on a day it was supposed to be free. I did reach out to corporate customer service and was able to get a credit The restaurant itself is usually clean and they do have outdoor seating. I would say make sure you're clear on what you want before you pay for anything. read more

I love CAVA! This particular location is my favorite as my food is always made accurately through the app. Recently garlic shrimp has been added to the menu and I hope they choose to keep it. The restaurant is always clean and the drink area is always well maintained. This location is right by my office, so I've eaten here several times and picked up orders many more times than that! The staff at this location are friendly, but the best thing about the location is the great outside seating (there is more outside seating than inside seating at this location). Ordering ahead can be hit or miss; they make mistakes in orders pretty frequently (nothing that means I can't eat it, but just missing ingredients or incorrect ingredients in a make your own bowl). We arrived at the wrong time: 5:30 on a hot, muggy Saturday afternoon. I noticed slips for several pick up orders on the counter. Strike 1. There were three in my group: my kids and yours truly. The CaVa team alternated between take out orders and ours. In other words, we were in line some quite a while. Sadly, people behind us in line were losing patience and left. Strike 2. When it came to checking out I thought I gave the cashier 60 bucks. He thought I gave 80. I simply said maybe I had two bills stuck together when I got them from the ATM as the bills were newly circulated. That kerfuffle lasted a while. More customers left. Was I trying to pull a film flam on the cashier or vice versa? Regardless, i conceded I MAY have tendered 60 bucks. For a $53 and change order, cashier turned over $10 in change. Ball 1. After eating I summoned the manager to my table and mentioned cashier applied some bad math and I gave him $3.50. The food? I ordered the curated Harissi Chicken bowl and the kids each built their own. We all ordered fountain drinks. The kids had their new age beverages and I enjoyed my Maine Root pop. I drew a black cherry soda but it tasted like root beer. I can't say Strike 3 but I'll rate this visit three stars. The food, as usual, was a home run. Am I supposed to say something about ambiance in order to cover all the bases? Let's just say "contemporary, utilitarian and sterile." As most fast casual joints are these days. My first CAVA! I've known about CAVA for awhile but was never near one at a convenient time. Now there is one right down the road which is great! This CAVA is in the Fairgrounds shopping center which is always really busy, so I hope they will do well. My husband and I came for lunch. He kept asking me what it was, and the best description I could think of is "Mediterranean Chipotle". I got a grains/greens bowl with super greens and saffron rice. You can choose three dips and I got crazy feta, tzatziki, and red pepper hummus. I got harissa chicken as my protein. Then you can load up with whatever toppings strike your fancy! Portion sizes are big. I got two meals out of mine. Also, the fountain drinks are really fun to try! I typically just get water when I go out but they intrigued me enough to buy a fountain soda. They have different teas, lemonades, and craft sodas. Finally, the staff was super nice! Negative stars! It's awful, so bad that I'm also sending an email to corporate because someone should be notified of how bad things are here at this location. I'm 2 visits in, months in between visits. On my first they were out of SuperGreens, brown rice and falafel. The stations were the ingredients were was filthy. On my second visit they were out of the Summer Lemon Chicken Bowl, although that was the very first poster you see when you walk in, saying something like "still serving your summer's favorite". The only greenery they had was arugula and spinach. The black lentils were hard as rocks, the same with the grilled chicken. It was so small, and hard, almost like burnt ends of chicken. Again, filthy stations, napkins and straws all over the drink stations. Lackluster attitudes from all the employees. No urgency with anything. When asked about missing items, the response was a shrug of the shoulders. Chic fila wound never!! The first visit I thought was a one off. The young man at the counter was very helpful as he walked me through the options. I ended up getting a bowl w/ 1/2 super-greens / brown rice, traditional hummus, tzatziki, 1/2 grilled chicken / harissa chicken (sweet spicy), cucumbers, tomato cucumber medley, cabbage slaw, feta and a little yogurt dill. I also decided to try one of the fresh squeezed drinks; blueberry lavender. O M G, this was a delicious nutritious lunch! I was very satisfied. The bowl was filling and very flavorful. The spice on the harissa chicken definitely came through and the hummus and yogurt dressing added a cooling element as I devoured. I can't wait to return to try other variations. I always place my order on the CAVA app for pick-up at least 30 minutes prior to my pickup. There was only one instance where I had to wait 10 minutes after my pickup time. They were slammed though. All team interactions I've had when I go to pickup have been pleasant. The quality of the food has been exactly as I've expected. I have yet to have a mixed up or messed up order, and I we all hope we never do. But we're all human. My first visit to CAVA York Rd Timonium, Md was so refreshing! They greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. Being as though it was my first time I did not know how to order the salad. They explained every ingredient to me (then even allowed me to sample some of the sauces before placing my salad)! They were extremely helpful and so nice! The whole crew even the manager was helpful in explaining the drink fountain. I love this specific store and now I will be a customer forever! I've eaten both in and to go here. Dine-in: Terrible service, unprofessional employees that will rush you through everything. Takeout and pickup: I've used the app to place orders from here, and one time they got my pita order right, which I generally don't care about. But yesterday wasn't good. Several toppings were left off of both my bowl and my husband's bowl. When we came home, we realized that all we had done was buy a few bowls of rice, chicken, and greens.
