Updating my review because they made some welcome changes since the last time I came here in early 2025. For one thing, their tables are no longer sticky - they got new table tops that are quite nice. This time, all their soda and teas were refilled and we were actually able to get our drink this time. Service was also faster this time - a lot more people behind the counter took care of the long lines. The food was fresh and flavorful as usual. Love Cava but they usually take a lot longer than then time it says for pickup. Food isn't too bad though.

Cava is one of my favorite chains. The food here was fresh and the staff was super friendly. It was a little crowded, but there was plenty of space to sit inside. Parking was easy as there was a large lot outside. Would highly recommend for a quick meal. They do order at the counter and then you can take it to go or sit down. They are good telling you what is GF but there is def a high risk of cross contamination read more

Staying close by & was looking for something fresh and healthy. I know this is a chain, but had never been so we gave it a try. Chipotle concept- but amazing Mediterranean food. We chose to build a bowl with greens & rice - topped with the lamb & about 7 choices of fresh toppings. This was served with your choice of sauces & warm pita. Flavors were amazing- all ingredients were fresh. They have mutilple choices of in house made ice teas & leomades. Good food & drink for a fair price. Wish there was one near Pittsburgh! So I stopped by Cava in Secaucus for a quick bite before heading to the movies on a weekday. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast--perfect for a casual meal, especially since we had to go to the movies right after that's walking distance.... The staff was friendly, and there was plenty of seating, but for some odd reason 80% of the staff was helping with online orders wipe the in person line started adding up.... Bonus: tons of parking, which is always a win. Will definitely be back and give it another shot. read more

This is a more "newer" location and love cava overall and this place did a good job within the food, service and ambience. The food was fresh, nothing looked like it was sitting out for too long, the workers were kind, professional, and the restaurant was clean and well kept up. I loved that this cava opened up and is closer to me than the JC one but man, have I've been disappointed with their service... One thing I never had to wait for at the JC and Paramus locations were the pita chips. Waiting a few times is fine but after cooking here several times, the pita chips are never ready, the last couple times I've visited I've been sure to ask for them first so they can tell their team member to get to frying so we wouldn't have to wait 10 min for them to be done and I'd be done with my meal by then...I am always asked "that's it?" Other times, the managers have been standing around on a busy day/time instead of helping out their team. The other team members are clearly not happy which I haven't experienced at the other Cava locations. This goes to show the poor management and teamwork at this location. Other than that, Cava is really one of my favorite places to eat but not this location. They offer pitas, bowls and salads - either pre picked for you on the menu or choose your own fillings. read more

We ordered our food at 11am for a 1215 pickup. We waited 20 additional minutes for the food and then realized we didn't get Any of the side sauces we asked for, shorted extra rice, and missing an order of pita. They were clearly overwhelmed and could not handle the lunch rush. This was my second experience with Cava and I will not be rushing to return. read more

Service was terrible I will never come back to this location. Only the gentleman working at 6:30 pm Monday night the only respectable employee at work that night. Female ringing people up lazy ! Literally said they were out of so many things only Becuase she didn't want to bend over an open the fridge. Literally after she made our bowl someone came after us and the person working opened the fridge and brought out everything that was "out" "missing" - wildest experience I've had at a cava and I didn't even go at closing. first time, I hope it's good. Came on a saturday. You would expect it to be busy and staff efficent. Well, steady business but the people behind the counter are NO WHERE NEAR a smooth running engine. A manager needs to be present as this team looked lost. I had the spicy chicken n avocado pita and was pretty good. My wife ordered the chicken & rice bowl and was not fond of it. She is very familiar with CAVA especially in NYC. So they need some type of efficiency as people were waiting for the bowls or pita to be filled. Also waiting for vinaigrette and hummus. The staff has to be more cognizant. Hopefully the staff & mgt can be more efficient and not all look totally lost. Also need staff to clean the damn tables. The service is always good no matter where I go. I am so happy that Secaucus has its own CAVA. For some reason the location here is a few dollars cheaper than the one in Jersey City. SCORE. Been eyeing this location since I saw the signage! I've ordered twice so far since their opening, one was for pickup during the week and the other was for dine-in. Pickup was a bit behind as it was extremely busy but it was 1pm on a weekday so I guess everyone was on lunch. For dine-in on a Sunday, it was pretty empty which was good! Staff were nice and quick with filling our bowls and paying. Only downside can be parking as the lot can be packed, but that's the area. Also, get the strawberry citrus drink! read more

I LOVE Cava but this location is terrible. The person helping us had a horrible attitude. When it came to the toppings she told us all were out except 4 but i'm pretty sure when she opened the fridge area I saw more ready for use. Speed of service is Horrendous, Disappointing and Unacceptable! I ordered during the week and it's 35 mins wait to pick up, I ordered last Saturday it is over 45 mins wait! Service is awful. Ordered here a few times and had to wait 45 minutes longer than the schedule pickup time. Maybe adjust for this if you know you're overbooked? ordered a salad bowl with super greens and romaine and grilled chicken and other add ins. I received the bowl half full of super greens which were all the "butts" of the lettuce and no romaine. the chicken was bubblery and stringy. I spent over $20 on a salad that maybe had a quarter cup of greens that were all from the bottom of the barrel. I'm sooooo disappointed and prob won't be going back there. read more
