Pretty solid spot for Mediterranean food. Their lunch specials are great - for under $10 you get to choose from a few entrees and two sides. Their lentil soup is not as thick as you would typically see, but still has a lot of flavor. Their hummus is slightly oily, but tasty and they give a generous amount of pita. I suggest getting the chicken shawarma - it has such a nice tangy flavor that pairs well when combining with the pita and hummus. read more

*This review is for the takeout option only* After having a really terrible day, my dad brought home one the best chicken wraps I have ever had. He also got the taboule. The chicken shawarma wrap is out of this world, the chicken is thin slices seasoned well with lettuce & tomato in a whole wheat wrap. The extra pickle adds the perfect saltiness to offset the intense flavor of the shwarma. The side was a little salad seasoned perfectly with Italian. I don't think I could speak for the taboule myself because my mom would not share with me. That speaks for itself how good it is, plus she said that the taboule was not salty like a lot are. Both meals were very generous portions at a great price! A little over $12 together. read more

Still feeling the love at Sinbad Cafe in Secaucus NJ. They've got an 80's jam on, "Make This Man a Better Man," Beatles, Bee Gees, tunes just make me happy. Sitting amidst faux columns evoking a warm cozy club feel. There are soccer team scarves posted on the walls and a TV for sports fans. Food is straightforward, fresh, properly spiced. I had lunch special with salad, meatball soup and beef kofta kebab with yellow rice. Confident, pleasant staff are helpful throughout the meal. read more

The careless waitress took my credit card & returned the receipt-to-sign only. Never heard of that happening before & I'm a former waiter. I left thinking I had already received my card. More than halfway back to Philly on the turnpike I realized what she did. I called. She and her "manager" confirméd they had the card but couldn't mail it to me until their boss came in & agreed..? I follow up repeatedly In the following DAYS & the boss eventually says he'll send it. Week or so later I give up waiting & get a new card. Yes, I should have done that originally but I had faith a small business would care. Nah. GET IT TOGETHER!! Food was not mémorable. I think I remember it being sloppy, too, just like their operation. read more

To me 3.5 stars.. The lunch special price high .but servings are plenty ... They definitely feed you more rice than meat. The ratio of rice to meat 1:10. The baba really really good . I don't know why but I have had their hummus about 5 times , and it gives me the heaves .it's good but turns my stomach . Overall they can do better . Included pictures of lunch had a kafta looks like a turd I un-appealing .. When you get the kafta cut it up right away as to make it appealing . read more

Went to this place today for the lunch special. Everything was delicious, the wait staff was very attentive. I had the chicken thigh kebab and my date had the chicken shawarma. They were both perfectly cooked. The rice was enjoyable. The hummus was great, but what stood out was the baba ghanoush. I didn't give this place a perfect score because it was lunch and not dinner. I'll be going back for dinner and will update this review. Go for lunch! It's affordable and great. read more

Good deal for lunch special. 8.99 lunch special from 11:30-3:30 you pick Two from appetizer such as lentil or meatball soup, House salad or your choice of hummus or baba gnoush. You then have have 5 or 6 lunch choices being shawarma, kabob and I believe a gyro option ( chicken and lamb options). For the amount of food not a bad deal. My husband enjoyed the hummus and he hates hummus. I enjoyed my lentil soup, meatball soup that my husband ordered not so much. It seemed like a bowl of marinara with meatballs. I ordered a lamb shawarma it was ok. I would like to go back and try food off the lunch special since the food did have good overall flavors. The service was fast. It gets busy during lunchtime because of the special. Our waitress ashley was very attentive. Young girl but gave excellent service. The only reason I wouldn't give this place 5 stars a because the waitresses are all attending the same tables opposed to having there own section. So we tried to keep ordering with Ashley since she was our first encounter. It was very confusing at the end how we were suppose to tip since they all technically helped. read more

I was coming back from shopping and its name attracts me. After checking the reviews on yelp, I decided to have a try. I got chicken kababs platter which comes with rice. It tastes good but chicken was very oily. On the way back home, its oil was leaked from the box into the plastic bag. But it was filling for one. I like Mediterranean food but this will not be my go to place. They give yelp check discount of 10%. read more

Pretty ordinary. Lunch special-- highlight is the appetizers. Shawarma comes with some gristly meat and a pile of rice that tastes like it is from a mile x-- not homemade. Soup is good. We usually go to Giovanni's a Deli when in the area and will return there. read more

I work in Secaucus, so I come here for lunch on occasion. That being said, I've only ever gotten the lunch special, but that alone has made enough of an impression on me to write a review. The lunch special is $9 and includes your choice of 5 entrees and 2 starters. Chicken Shawarma, Beef Shawarma, Chicken Kabob, Kofta Kabob or Chicken Thigh Kebob are your entree choices. Your starter choices are house salad, hummus, lentil soup, meatball soup or baba ghanouj. Not bad choices for $9! They give you a good amount too, I always bring some home. I've had the beef and chicken shawarma and the salad, hummus and baba ghanouj and every time I've ordered, the meal has been extremely tasty and consistent. The service is quick and courteous too. I've never been there for dinner or any other meal, but from the other reviews it sounds like the rest of their menu is just as delectable. The rest of the prices seem like they are reasonable also. I'm glad there is a place like this around my office so I don't have to eat at Wendy's or Subway all the time! One of these days I will venture off the lunch special and try some more of their menu. read more

Sinbad is a great place to get authentic Middle Eastern food. I've been ordering out from this place for over a year and it never disappoints. Big on my list is the chicken cabob platter with rice. I also get an order of baba galosh which is the best thing as far as I'm concerned. They serve it with pita too. The humus isn't bad either. It's not much of an eat-in restaurant, but don't let that stop you. read more

Tucked away in a strip mall, this is a very unassuming restaurant. However, the food will knock your socks off-- My husband and I went there on a Tuesday night after work b/c it was on the way home and we were blown away. The portions are very generous, and everything has an authentic homemade taste. we had the Lebnah (yogurt mint garlic dip with pita) and stuffed grape leaves as appetizers. Both were fabulously yummy. We split the mixed chef's grill and with rice and loved all of it, especially the lamb and chicken kabob. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Fabulous food at a very reasonable price. read more

Their service is horrible. Their food is not too bad bit overpriced. Bunch of teenagers are hired as waitresses. They are not that nice and it takes 40 minutes until the food is ready. This is THE WORST restaurant i have ever been to...just when i was parking my car i see that gothic looking girl smoking outside anf staring at me with an attitude, i go in and she is the waitress, she was not friendly..whatever she took my order, then the chicken wrap i ordered, yuckkk thw guy who made the sandwich seem to be the owner and it was just terrible!! Even the fries were terrible!!! Secaucus is a small town but do look for somethig Else! Dont ever go to this place!! Just terrible food! read more

What a letdown!!! Despite being there a long while ago and was very disappointed, my wife said they might have changed, because the reviews were ok. This time, there were two tables about to finish, so virtually, we were the only customers to be served. The waitress was polite and was on time to take our order. The soup was watery weak and barely warm. The wraps were sloppy and the fries were cold. When we asked for some vinegar, the waitress came back and said "the chef said we ran out". I still tipped over 20% because the waitress was very nice. Needless to say, we will not go back. read more

I am 110% sure this place only stays in business because it's surrounded by hotels and there is a serious lack of local competition on the breakfast front. I would give it one star but my omelet was actually pretty good. My friend and I came here for a hangover cure a la eggs and pancakes. We walked in and were ignored (by the one cook and one waitress). Seeing no sign indicating whether we should wait to be seated our seat ourselves, we chose the latter and sat at the last open table. For the next 10 minutes, the waitress literally ignored us... As in, made eye contact with me and then looked away and continued with her other tables. Finally she came over. I ordered an omelet with onions peppers and tomatoes and she didn't understand what I wanted. I'm not exaggerating. I had to explain I wanted a "veggie" omelet but with those 3 vegetables only. I asked for a grilled bagel instead of toast and you would have thought I asked for instructions on a frontal lobotomy. She was just completely baffled. She said, "toasted?" And I said no, grilled, but that she could toast it if the cook couldn't grill it. My friend ordered banana pancakes. Now, in the meantime, we got two vitamin waters and one of them was expired! I mean, it's water so it can't be that bad but I'm pretty sure the Dept of Public Heath frowns on that kind of thing ... Our food came out pretty quickly, decent portions, the home fries were well seasoned and the omelet was actually great. When the waitress brought the bagel she said, "I guess he was able to grill it!" Buttttt it was toasted. Ah well, the mysterious and elusive grilled bagel strikes again? And it was burned enough to taste the char. We were starving and ate everything, toasted or not. And then I looked at my plate and saw what looked like blue frosting caked into the side of the plate. Nothing I ate was blue. These dishes just weren't clean at all. Neither was the table. And as I looked around, neither was anything else.. All the chairs were falling apart (including ours) and the place was just kinda ruddy. But the dirty dishes are grotesque and unacceptable. Oh and I should mention 1. There is no where to wait. At all. So if the tables are full you either linger in the restaurant awkwardly, or you leave. 2. Halfway through our meal, a woman with two small kids came in and she dropped one in a little curtained-off area behind my seat.. Except the curtain was open and this little nugget was watching a movie on her laptop. Which is fine, but it was like being a daycare. If they got rid of that little area, they actually would be able to seat waiting patrons. Finished our meal and waited another 10-15 minutes before we got the check, which -- predictably, given our whole experience -- was overcharged. I told the waitress, who did fix it, but it was the icing on the cake. Or should I say the icing on the dirty dishes. read more

If you come here around 5:30 you'll get the fastest service ever. My salad and lemonade(they don't serve any alcohol) came out in two minutes. I had the Shawarma chicken and so did my friend. This is a very clean and relaxed restaurant. read more

A hidden gem in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts. You wouldn't know it was here unless you looked for it. But...so worth it when you find it. They have great food and awesome breakfast specials with huge portions. The cook makes it right in front of you from his kitchen station. The wait staff is friendly and polite. First of all, I really appreciate how friendly everyone was, from the cook to the waitresses. I felt extremely welcomed and comfortable, which you'd think would be the standard at most restaurants, but it's not. I actually visited twice in one day, once for takeout, and later in the evening for dinner. I started my meal with the baba ghanouj & warm pita, which was delightful. It was a generous portion, enough for 3, and it was very, very fresh. My boyfriend had the Lamb kebab wrap with french fries, no complaints. The lamb was well seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium, and all of the elements were in perfect balance. Not too much or too little of anything. I had the tabbouli with the chicken kebab. The tabbouli was huge, way more than i expected given the fact that I ordered the small, but I was more than happy to take my leftovers home. I have never had such tender chicken, ever. Ever. I'm a stickler for presentation and the grill marks were beautiful. Our server was very attentive but not pesky- and most importantly, THIS RESTAURANT IS SPOTLESSLY CLEAN!!!! I will definitely be returning. Good food that comes out quickly, very fair prices, and very, very clean. What more can you ask for? read more

This restaurant was awesome. The food was excellent and fresh. The service was timely and polite. I ate dinner there one evening, it was so good I went back the next day for breakfast. The ONLY issue I had with Sinbad's is that they do kinda nickle and dime you a bit. I ordered water with dinner and got bottled water automatically, and paid for it. Perhaps that's the norm in New Jersey though. read more

The meal came to about $20 per person (no drinks, just the entrée) and while the 'Kabob Koobideh' was a generous portion, the falafel sandwich (for $15) is wildly overpriced (it's about $10 from Greek Town right across the street, never mind about $8 from Mamoun's just about two minutes away over on Rt. 17N). Happy to have tried it, would come back (while grumbling about the cost under my breath because I'm a crabby old man).

Adding a little yogurt balanced it out nicely. Definitely something different. The lamb biryani was around the low teens price-wise and came in a huge portion with plenty of meat. The lamb was slightly dry -- felt like it may have been prepared earlier and kept warm -- but still flavorful and within expectations for the price. The standout for us was the Gosht Karahi. Tender but slightly chewy lamb, very savory and well seasoned, with lots of large chunks of meat. It looks a bit pricey at first, but considering how much meat you actually get, it felt like a solid value. We packed up half of it and still thought the leftovers were more generous than some restaurants' fresh servings. The naan was massive. Good flavor, although it didn't have that super fresh-out-of-the-tandoor smoky char. Funny enough, reheating it in the air fryer at home made it even better. One thing to know: every dish here runs large, so this place is better with a group. There are parking spots in front, but not many.

Unfortunately, after paying a $221 bill, this turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. While the karai was a redeeming bright spot, the signature nihari was completely disappointing--resembling a heavy, generic spicy curry rather than traditional nihari, and ultimately left uneaten. However, the food was secondary to the appalling level of service. In all our years of dining out, we have never witnessed staff physically clearing plates and food from a table while guests were still in the middle of eating. It is a fundamental breach of basic hospitality and respect. Compounding this, we were dining with our children, including a child with autism who was having a genuinely difficult moment. Given that management is reportedly well aware of these parenting challenges, the complete lack of patience, empathy, or professional grace from the staff was deeply disheartening. A $221 bill should at the very least guarantee a baseline standard of customer care and human decency. Regrettably, due to the total failure in service and professionalism, this was our first and last visit.

It was a great touch and immediately raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not fully match that first impression. We started with drinks: a glass of wine for me and an Old Fashioned for my wife. As happens too often in restaurants, the stronger drink was automatically assumed to be mine, and the drinks were delivered incorrectly. It's a small detail, but one that reflects attention--or lack of it. Bread arrived quickly, followed soon after by the food. I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce. The dish was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. My wife ordered the house seafood salad, which was very good--fresh, flavorful, and easily the best dish we had that night. Our waiter spoke limited English. Once he realized we also spoke his language, the service became noticeably more relaxed and somewhat overly familiar. He immediately tried to guide us toward the most expensive items on the menu. When I declined coffee after dinner, he responded by saying something along the lines of: "Well, that's your choice, but the coffee here is very good," which felt unnecessary. We also had a small issue with the Old Fashioned garnish. The orange peel looked unusual, so we asked for the drink to be replaced. The waiter did replace it, though he first tried to explain that what we thought were worms were simply marks on the fruit peel. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, which the waiter promoted heavily as the best dessert to try. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver. Instead of the classic layered presentation, it arrived more like a cup full of cream with a few pieces of soaked bread and very little coffee flavor. The issue was not just the dessert itself, but the expectations created when it was described. Bareli's is a beautiful restaurant with a great location and atmosphere, but the service details and execution didn't quite match the level suggested by the setting.

For the mains: 20oz Bone In NY Strip with sautéed spinach. Perfectly cooked to my liking and I loved that it was pre sliced for me. Spinach was lightly oiled and a perfect amount of garlic. Salmon Special - Pumpkin seed crusted with butternut squash. The plate was beautifully decorated and looked fantastic, but as soon as we cut into the salmon it was raw. It was a huge piece of salmon. So I'm sure that's what happened. Picture shown is the under cooked one that was taken back. I did not get a picture of the next. The manager saw immediately as my wife cut into it and we didn't have to say anything. He took the plate back and began making another. The dish came out and it was definitely well done this time. The piece of salmon was a lot smaller than the first. I'm sure it was to cut the cooking time down and get it out asap. The meal was fantastic. Just wish we were able to eat together. It happens. For dessert: Espresso Martini - Perfect. No baileys, 3 beans. Pistachio gelato - fantastic Zeppole - There were 3 different sauces for each one. It was amazing. Our waiter Nathan and the manager were extremely apologetic. They even came out with a complimentary limoncello spirit as we were settling up. I can't wait to dine here again to give Bareli's the 5 star it deserves.

On this visit I tried the Pistachio Latte with reduced sweetness and it was delicious. The pistachio flavor tasted authentic rather than synthetic and it melded perfectly with the coffee. My sister absolutely loved the Rose Matcha, which is the same drink my fiancee enjoyed on a previous visit. Even my mom was glowing about her Cappuccino which is a rare treat since she is notoriously hard to please. For our meal we ordered the Caprese Chicken Crepe and the Chipotle Chicken Melt. The crepe was a hit with my mom and sister and the portion size was just right. The Chipotle sandwich had great flavor though it was definitely on the greasy side. You will want a stack of napkins ready if you order it but it was still a solid sandwich overall. On a previous visit, we tried the Tres Leches which unfortunately did not live up to the rest of the experience. It tasted bland a bit like a boxed cake and I was not a fan, I might try the Tiramisu on my next trip instead. Despite the dessert miss the staff here is super friendly and sweet. They never make you feel rushed and take the time to explain the menu options thoroughly. If you're in the area and need a high quality cup of coffee Haute Dulce is a fantastic spot that will actually satisfy your expectations.

This place was practically opposite our hotel, and to be honest, the way it looked from the outside didn't inspire confidence. Inside, there are football (soccer) scarves from various national squads and famous football teams, which again didn't really set the right note for me. But I asked one of the receptionists at the hotel and he said the food was good, so... off we went. And I'm so glad we did. We went twice. The first night I had the meatball soup and a chicken Caesar wrap, and the second night I had the soup again and a different wrap (but can't remember what it was). The 3 in our party couldn't fault any of it (my friend had the chicken Caesar wrap the second night because I had liked it so much the first night). The beef tasted just like every other Halal place you've ever been to matter fact the meat used is from a larger chunk of meat that was brought to the store in a bag later thawed out and cut into little cubes. What is in it? Who knows? The chicken tastes nothing that you would buy in an Arabian country. Maybe that's why it was called Halal. And the guy who prepared my food did bless it with his mouth open. Do I recommend this place? I recommend for someone to come and clean it and teach these gentlemen how to be a little bit more sanitary. I don't wish this place harmed. They've been around for a long time, but they need to be a little bit more sanitary. Someone needs to grab a mop and a rag and wipe things down. I gave them three stars cause they could do a lot a lot better. Well, I returned to this place maybe when they clean up. Let me tell you about the enthusiasm in that place., practically zero. Instead of helping, they insisted they were not offering any such promo--even after I explained that it was clearly shown on Uber Eats and confirmed by Uber support. On top of that, my wife was standing outside in the pouring rain trying to pick up the order while I was stuck on the phone arguing with an employee who clearly could not care less about customer service. He then called a manager who ultimately doubled down and said they had no responsibility to honor the promo. If you're going to partner with delivery platforms, maybe learn how to advertise correctly so you don't deceive and mislead your customers. Completely unacceptable experience. I will never be ordering or visiting this place again. If you'd like, I can tailor this version to sound more aggressive, more professional, shorter, or include more specific details like location and date.

From the moment I walked in the staff was so amazing and polite . I order food to pick up . Kudos to the chef! He is amazing . Everything I have tried thanks to the staff recommending has been delicious. The Branzino is so perfectly seasoned I am hooked on it. I have had the falafel , stir fried shrimp and Mediterranean salad and to was yummy as well. I have also tried their rice pudding and it was so delicate and full of flavor.
