As others have said, this is the Greek Food version of Chipotle. Pick your carb, protein, vegetable sides + sauces. Portion sizes are neither large nor small. My husband and I both find it to be a filling meal without going into the "too stuffed' category. The food here is excellent. It is flavorful, filling and delicious. The salad base is the healthiest choice, but it's hard to beat a warm pita. Everything on the menu is good, truly. I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere of the place is nice as well. It is usually crowded, but if the weather is nice, the Mosaic District has a lot of outdoor seating and shopping to explore with a meal on the go. If it's cold, be prepared to wait a minute or two for a table if you are there during peak hours, or take your food to go. There are options for kids, so take the family! Every time we've visited the restaurant has been clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Since moving out of the area, we've really missed this food. You don't know a good thing until it's gone, right? Maybe one day Cava will come out West. Until then, it's on our must-stop list whenever we are in town. read more

Food was good, but the rice was over cooked. Meat had good flavor but I think the portions (of meat) are very small. And to pay an extra $1,80 for it kind of makes me upset. Anyways if you like Mediterranean food this is a good spot but I will not say that this is my favorite place to go to. Plus I noticed that the soda machine was a bit messed up. My cola tastes like everything but cola. I got the beef braised with white rice. read more

Got the super greens salad with chicken, and it was delicious and healthy. I typically don't get full from salad, but this salad overflowing the bowl did the trick. Great food. Good portion size. Fast service. read more

This was a great food find, the best way to describe this restaurant its a Mediterranean chipotle but so much better. All of the food is fresh and wonderful. A little tip: get the Falafels they won't disappoint. read more

This place is amazing!!! Since the gym is right next to it, I often face the decision of grabbing this or chipotle as my post workout meal. It's not an easy choice (because chipotle is so good!), but I end up picking cava to fill up my stomach as it is a much healthier choice! The place itself is very nice, clean, and has a very friendly environment... The worker Osmar was exceptionally friendly and was very nice in giving me recommendations to pick my toppings :) Would recommend anyone who loves to eat healthy or just have a refreshing taste! read more

Just had this for the first time after walking past it on my way to sweetgreen. and holy shit, it was amazing. fresh, delicious, tons of variety. If you love chipotle but are bored of eating the same goddamned burrito for the past 11 years, you need to check this joint out STAT read more

I got food poisoning from here :( It was my third time getting CAVA, thought I would enjoy it because I didn't have it for a while. I wish I could give this place a better review, but the circumstances that I am currently in I cannot give it a a good rating. Oh the pain CAVA has given me. read more

Cava is probably the best spot for fast casual dining in Mosaic District. The lines can get pretty ridiculous during peak hours, but ordering online for pickup has never yielded a wait, unlike some other casual chains. The food is consistently good, in about 25 visits there has been only one occasion when the quality was not up to par. And that watermelon mint juice really hits the spot during the hot summer months. read more

I visited cava at mosaic today around 5:20 and I wanted to use my pita card, I was buying 2 bowls with extra meat, I understand that I have to pay for the extra protein but the cashier didn't let me get my two bowls with the pita cards, he spoke with the manager in charge which her name was Brenda, and she said for him to stay with both pita cards but to still charge me for one bowl! If you can explain how the pita cards broke! Because it doesn't make sense to still pay for the full bowl when I have both cards!! I explained to him I have done this before at this same location and all he said was "well the manager said so, and acted like he didn't care! The manager didn't even showed up to talk to me and explain how pita cards actually worked! read more

I will highly recommend this place, very clean, the people there are nice. Great food and i would go any time to hang out with friends. Gave 5 stars!! read more

It was my first time here and I was in for a surprise. My friends said let's go to Cava, and I thought, "great" since I'd been to the same restaurant in Arlington. But I wasn't quite ready for the Chipotle meets Cava Mezze "Grill" version in Merrifield. I don't have any complaints about it, in fact it seems like a novel concept. I give it 4 stars just because it wasn't the full experience that I expected. But, overall, the food was delicious and since I had to put my meal together myself, I think I learned a little more about Mediterranean food than I knew when I got there. read more

Love their FalaFel and that harina sauce! Very similar to Chipotle. The staff could be better!!! read more

Sigh, I love this place. Yes, this is basically a "Mediterranean Chipotle" but it's so much healthier and tastier. Pick your base (brown rice for me), up to 3 dips (depends on what I'm in the mood for but all of them are great), protein (chicken) and unlimited toppings and sauces (Sriracha Greek yogurt is a must)! It's only a bit pricier than Chipotle at around $9 but it's so worth it. It can get crowded around lunch time with the line almost out the door which is understandable but you should typically be able to get to the front within 5 minutes. read more

CAVA - Mediterranean Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

This place has the *best* food. It tastes amazing, it is much healthier than most restaurants, fully customizable, and good amount of food for the money. I would choose this place over most sit-down restaurants. My standard is a brown rice bowl with 50/50 chicken/falafel. Comes out to $9.01. Fills me up and makes my body feel wonderful for the next 24 hours. PLEASE build one in crystal city. read more

Fast casual is getting so good! Forget Chipotle, this is so much fresher and healthier than the competition. The harissa, red pepper hummus and feta spreads are the best. I really like getting my bowl with grains and greans-- supper greens and lentils, maybe even some brown rice too! The braised beef is worth the extra cost and don't for get to top it with the tahini sauce. DO NOT SKIP THE FRESH JUICE! Beet lemonade is my fave! Staff is ridiculously friendly! They will quickly clarify anything you have questions about, no matter how busy they are. I recommend going during non-peak hours or ordering online the first couple times though, because it's hard to know what everything is without signs on the line to describe them and on the website there are great pictures and explanations of everything. read more

My first time at this location. Despite being a trendy area on a Friday evening (maybe bc of the day?? People doing wilder things) there wasn't a wait! Good service and a nice space. It was a little louder than I'm used to Cava being (compared to the lunch crowds at other locations) and I think it might be due to this location's construction and how the sound interacted with the space. I enjoyed my food and portion size :-) I love to get the greens and grains bowl with my warm pita (this isn't necessarily apparent, but you can ask for more than one kind of greens). Mosaic makes it a perfect place to walk around before or after your meal, whether or not to decide to follow up with dessert. read more

I have visited here twice. Compared to Sweetgreen it is okay. The salad bowl is not light enough for me. The Falafel and the pita chips are awesome!!! The layout of the restaurant is nice. The servers seem to rush your through the line, I really did not like this. The first step is picking your base. Then, you pick your dips/spreads . Step three pick your protein (you can pick 2, but it'll be half and half. Not 2x the meat). Step four, you pick your toppings. Finally step five is dressing, which are good to me. My bowl got diluted very fast, which probably took away from the meal. read more

I really like the super green salad and braised lamb. The lamb is crave-able. The only downside is if you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait in line. Other than that, it is a perfect place to grab dinner before your movie starts across the street at the Anjelica. I recommend this place to anyone i know. read more

This spot has the best customer service and the best tasting food. Out of all the CAVA restaurants I've been to the cook here is #1. I come here every day and can honestly say, over the past year I have not had 1 complaint. The workers there serve very difficult customers and handle it in style. They serve customers while preparing a tons of online orders. At times I even think they are understaffed due to the volume of orders but they handle it in stride. These are some of the best customer service individuals I have came across and I work with people everyday in Talent Acquisition supporting a government contractor. read more

ok the reality is this place deserves 5 stars! I t's like a chipoltle but better in that you choose your starch and meat, and then chose from some incredible topings like picked onion and 4 different types of hummas type spreads. They just dont have alcoholic beverages. The food is from local farms, they even tell you where the meat comes from. They ahve incredible meat choices like lamb slidesr YOU! and when they say spicy it's spicy, not some waterd down Disney "zesty" BS. I am so coming back when I am in mosaic district. If you ahve the chance it is SOOOO worth it! read more

Amazing. Cava is simply amazing. The ingredients are fresh, local, and delicious and there is an endless variety of meals to choose from. The service is friendly and fast and I never tire of coming here. Whenever I have a long, crazy day, Cava is always my go-to for take out. My husband and I ate here three times in one weekend. It's a staple for us. We always recommend it to friends and family and cannot say enough good things about it. I highly encourage everyone to try it! Keep up the good work, Cava! read more

If you are looking for a quick, low-cost, no-fuss, tasty, healthy organic, build your meal with a wide variety of greens, rice, protein, and side dressings...this is the place! A shout out to Jose Ricardo and his hard working crew at Mosaic Cava Grill! Aloha! read more

Weak. Weak. If you order anything with a Pita, expect a hard stale cardboard pita. First the place. They need to label everything! 90% of the stuff is undistinguishable by the naked eye(I take pride in eating everything and have traveled the world). The Music is loud, not crazy loud but just loud enough that when I asked what nearly EVERYTHING on the Chipotle style bar was, I needed the dude to repeat himself 2 or 3 times for each item. Place is clean and drink choices were different but nice. Food...at first I ordered the large pita, after the 10 minutes of fighting to know what I was getting, I sat down and at first bite hated it. Small amount of meat, NO reason to ever order a large pita from here. It just does not fit the menu. If you must eat here, order a bowl. Pita bread - Rock hard, crunchy, and stale. They warm up the pita in the oven and store it in a literal draw under the rice. For how long? Long enough to go stale because I can buy fresher at an Alde. Asked to get it remade and the dude pulled out 4-5 to check for dry crackleness and I guess they did not pass the par so he just put them back in the draw for the next sucker...I told him to stop and just give me a bowl. Meat - I paid an extra $2 for the lamb meatball...hot and tasty but only got 2 small balls about half the size of a golf ball each...paid an extra $1.50 for the pulled lamb and it was dry and tasteless. Everything else on the menu - not sure what I like and did not like, could not hear dude explaining and could not read it ANYWHERE. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars over 1 is that my wife loved her bowl. The Wife - My wife is a lifetime vegetarian (starting at age 5), she was familiar with maybe 50% but lives in that life style that tries and reads all the craze health foods from Chia seeds (Sorry they are meant for Obama/sheep clay pets) to any NEW ancient grain. She loved loved it, so if you are a Vegan/Vegetarian that has never tried meat or even Toferky (yeah she has never tried a meat substitute either) go for it and enjoy. read more

Not a bad place, I would go again. My only problem is that the items you choose aren't labeled. So I had to ask the (very friendly) servers behind the counter what everything was. Because the place is loud and has hard surfaces. there is a lot of echo. When the servers answered my questions, they have to almost shout their answers. I didn't like that part of the experience. The food I ordered was very tasty but I really would like to have the items labeled. I think I could make a better mix by doing so. read more

CAVA - Not sure what it was, but it tasted good! - Mediterranean Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

Arrived into town and wanted to explore the area abit. I needed to go to Target so in the GPS it went and low and behold, the Target was located in a super neat spot. Several restaurants and shops - I was incredibly torn about what to eat. I loved the vibe of it all. I decided on food "to-go." I took a quick glance at Yelp and CAVA called to me. Not being from the area, I have no sense of chain or not, but I loved everything. Cute inside with plenty of dining tables (patio too), service was prompt and helpful (I had lots of questions!). Chipotle like ordering - pick your toppings, etc.. I had a salad/grain bowl that was a solid portion, in fact I ate the ENTIRE thing because I loved it. My bowl included romaine, lentils, roasted red pepper hummus, eggplant and pepper spread, falafel, roasted veggies, cucumbers, tomatoes, mint and some other marinated veggies, I can't remember it all. I ate the ENTIRE bowl - did I mention this?? The falafel was outrageous - you could see whole chickpeas; so good! All of the ingredients tasted fresh and made with love :-) $13 bucks for the meal - great price point and I am totally satisfied! Go check it out! read more

Cava is the best! My office is close to this location, and I am so grateful! Grabbed lunch here again today- always delicious. Greens and grains is the way to go. I definitely recommend ordering online because there's always a line. But even if you have to wait in line-- worth it! read more

The best way I would describe CAVA is a slightly healthier and pricier version of Chipotle. I'm not mad at that. I went for the first time last month and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it for lunch. I ordered a bowl with greens, grains, and grilled chicken. Everything was flavorful and filling with the complimentary naan too. It can be a hit or miss if you pick the wrong dressing. I decided to get whatever dressing my coworker got but forgot to the name of it. It might have been the green harissa. read more

I think I have a new favorite place for a quick meal during my monthly trip to these parts. So much flavor in one bowl and so many delicious, healthy options. I loved the lentil option as an alternative to rice and the roasted veggies as an alternative to meat or fried falafel. The dips are awesome, as are the toppings. I left full and satisfied on about a 500-600 calorie dinner. Definitely a good way to stay on track during a work trip. Please open in Minneapolis! read more
