Even though this place is pricey I happily supported it because it stood for something. Now that it's no longer vegan, it feels like a completely different place. Seeing venison, eggs, and raw dairy on the menu was honestly jarring. That shift isn't small, it changes the entire atmosphere and comfort level for me. Cross-contact becomes a concern, and I no longer feel at ease dining here. The branding around these new additions being described as "ethical" is the most frustrating part. They try to explain how their meet and eggs can be "ethical" but they don't even bother to try to explain how their raw dairy is "ethical." Probably because is no logical argument. Their pride and excitement about these "ethical" addictions feels entirely disconnected from the community that originally supported this space. I'm genuinely disappointed.

Now it comes on a much flimsier roll similar to the 'Cheesecake Factory' brown bread they sell in the grocery aisle. Sliced turkey also feels like a lower quality cut. It used to have texture and now it tastes like thin sliced /water infused prepackaged grocery turkey. Rosemary fries used to be slightly thicker, super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Now they're a lower quality shoe string fry that's on the dry side. Maybe they're between suppliers? But if these are cost cutting measures, the difference is very much palpable.
