This is the best "chipotle style" Greek food you can get. If you want fresh and tasty this the best place I frequent it for lunch because it has easy online ordering and they make amazing salads or bowls. The lamb is great. I also really enjoy the falafal. The crazy feta and hummus selections are super salad toppings. I always get the crunchy pita chips too too off the bowl. When made right it can easily be good for two meals! Everyone loves cava. Different proteins, different vegetables, make the bowl yours! They have the best drinks. Even when the line is very lone, to the door, it moves very quickly. They have different sauces very flavor able ,to harissa, my sons favorite. Spicy, mild, and in between. First time there was delicious! Follows the Chipotle concept with a Mediterranean theme, and almost all the the ingredients are gluten free, as are the preparations. I don't know why this place has such a high rating...it's essentially Chipotle of Mediterranean cuisine and not in a good way. The Pita wrap was so small should of been $6.00 but was over priced at $9.00 Next the rice had no taste and lamb balls were burnt. Also Chicken was very dry. Three out of four servers had frowns on their faces and kept saying "extra! This is extra!" Should of known then I was wasting my money but sure enough I made it thru the cattle line to the table... my bowl was completely tasteless. The saving grace was the drink selection. This has the feel of Chipotle where you can basically customize your bowl but better. The food is fresh, there are an abundance of choices for toppings, and the taste is like a flavor bomb going off in your mouth. I got grains and greens which is a combo of your choice of greens and then I chose basmati brown rice as my grain. The spicy lamb meatballs were very flavorful and the toppings just set the whole bowl off. It can be overwhelming when choosing for the first time but it's sooo worth it when you sit down to the great creation that's all yours. The juices were amazing as well. I had apple, cinnamon, and sage the first time then switched to cucumber mint. All were flavorful. The line can be long but don't let that discourage you. It's well worth the wait read more

Went for lunch today. Decent size line but it moved fairly quickly. A lot of fresh options. I went with a combo of "supergreens" and lentils for my base and then topped it with falafel. Tons of options for additional toppings and spreads (hummus, eggplant, harissa, etc.). In all I was very impressed by the food quality and drink options. Cava Grill blew me away with their vegan selection, taste and quality. You choose your base (pita, grains, greens, or grains and greens) and add your protein, dips, veggies and sauce. The vegan proteins are roasted seasonal veg or falafel (with whole chickpeas inside!)...both were absolutely delicious. The vegan dips are hummus, red pepper hummus and harissa (this is super spicy, so I got it on the side!). I loaded up on the crisp and fresh vegetables and topped with the creamy lemon herb tahini (although it was already so flavorful, no sauce was even necessary!). One word - ADDICTING! Cava is so addicting. I could probably eat it every day. It's basically a Mediterranean version of chipotle. You can mix and match all sorts of toppings, hummus, grains, greens, & meat to excite your tastebuds. Their pickled onions are so freaking delicious that I even tried to make them myself (thanks Pinterest!). They also have seasonal veggies and drinks that are delicious as well. If you download their app, you can order ahead and pick up. The few times I ordered through the app, we arrived by the pickup time and they did not even start making our food. Their app is nice though since they only bill your account once a month. So you rack up your receipts and they charge your credit/debit card at the end of the month. (Yay for us poor folk!) It's was clean and the employees were so friendly. I got a greens and grains with chicken and falafel. I'm glad I paid attention to the woman in front of me who asked for half and half. I like this place but I don't realize why I am paying extra money for spicy lamb meatballs that are NOT spicy and they are burnt. I had the opportunity to visit another CAVA location and I got exactly what I paid for the spicy lamb meatballs were spicy, flavorful, and well grilled. HORRIBLE experience!!! I ordered online, went in and not one person acknowledged me. I tried to get the cashiers attention and was ignored. Finally she walked over and slid a bag towards me. I said thank you and she ignored me. I looked at the name on the bag and it wasn't my order, so I slid the bag back and said this isn't mine. Again she ignored me. 3 other employees cae over to the pick up section and ALL three ignored me. One employee on the food line finally asked my name and I told her. She handed the cashier a salad she put it in the bag and once again slid it towards me. However, I'm still missing one order so I wait again. While waiting, I'm literally swatting away flies that are flying around inside. There's water all over the floor and the counter is dirty. Finally, I get my other food. Not once getting a here you are or thanks or anything. There was at least 10 employees in the store...10..no one was trained in customer service? I walk through water on the floor to get forks but there's water all around the utensil section and that counter is dirty as well. I wish I never paid online because I would've just left. Wow, I wish I hadn't waited this long to visit Cava. I had heard through the grapevine that it was a "mediterranean Chipotle". To be honest, as a vegetarian Chipotle has been a bit dull lately, and frankly boring. I found it amusing that Cava is literally next door to Chipotle. I ordered online before my first visit. Woah SO MANY OPTIONS. Glad I did it online, I feel like I might've been overwelmed in person and I always feel pressured knowing there are others waiting behind me. The ingredients looked spectacular and to be frank a vegetarian dream! Harissa, eggplant roasted hummus, pickled onions....crazy flavors were being thrown into this bowl. So I ordered online, there was a massive line on a Friday night but I got to skip straight to the cashier since I had already done the hardwork. I had selected 7:30 pm as my pick up time and exactly at 7:30 my order was ready. I was even offered a free drink by the cashier during my 1 minute wait (thanks dude!). I like that they have time slots so that they know how many orders can be handled. Took my bag home and dug in. The flavors were fresh and bold. Plus I just felt so healthy eating this grain and greens bowl. The portions are decent indeed. Fantastic healthy eating, I will return and think everyone should try it. I love Cava and I get it at least once a week. However, the Cava in Columbia is one of the worst location. A) The food is always limited - There is never enough of anything. For example - Always out of Pita Bread, always out of Crisps, and Feta Cheese B) Employees are so demotivated that they don't even bother checking to see if there is any in the fridge, separate counters etc. I had to point out to the employee where they had a few more containers of ingredients. I really love Cava and I hope they fix this location. It's always the Columbia one that I encounter these issues with. read more

Cava grill is new establishment located in the busy shopping area that also houses Cosi's and Chipotle so going during lunch hours can be a headache. The set up is much like Shop House or Chipotle. Pick your base (rice, beans, greens), meat or roasted veggies, hummus or dipping sauce, dressing etc. The greens are so fresh and the food is cooked in small batches to maintain freshness. I tried the pita and since I'm not not a fan of hummus...I just got an extra slather of harissa. Topped that off with chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, romaine lettuce and lemon herb dressing! I know...sounds weird right? Well it was absolutely delicious!! All the flavors worked together and the freshness of the veggies ensured there was the wonderful crispness in every bite. Cava also offers a variety of blended juices. I didn't have one but will try next time. Seating is ok but since place seems busy it may be best to take your food to go. Price...about $9-10 per entree. I had asked for a little roasted veggies and was told it would be an additional $2.75! Ummm...nope! Overall cool experience and I definitely will try again. read more

Good food, Great service!!! CAVA in Columbia, MD is always busy, but you can tell that teamwork is priority at this location. Everyone there is focused and efficient. For the first time, I placed an advanced order for 4 Family meals for a family graduation party in May 2021and we are still talking about the amazing service provided by Ingrid and Junior. My family loves CAVA and wanted nothing but CAVA at the party. Was a little nervous that 4 meals may not be enough for a large family gathering, but definitely more than enough food. They definitely know what they are doing at this location. Ingrid was friendly, patient and supportive when I placed my order days in advance. The day before pickup, I called to confirm and spoke with the Manager Junior. He has customer service down to a science!! Wonderfully friendly, energetic and dedicated to the customer. He assured me it would comfortably be enough food and it would be ready to go!!! He threw in a requested substitution and bowls to make serving easier at home. The food was excellent, but the service was horrendous. It is a fast casual place like Chipotle, but for Mediterranean food. Great concept, but the options are not clearly labeled or obvious what they are to the average American diner. The person assembling my bowl was super rude, wouldn't explain the process, or what the menu options were without extra sass and obvious distain for the customer. The signage is also not clear enough if it's you're first time here to expect no interaction from the service folks. I'd give it a higher rating if they hired helpful, courteous people. read more
