My bowl ... fresh and delish!
Wendy F.

Delicious, fresh choices ... build it your way ... get it on a plate, a wrap or, how I love it, in a large bowl. Plenty of parking, ample seating, a line that moves quickly and smiling employees. The dining area is bright with ample seating. Be sure to order the crispy pita!

I love, love, love CAVA and so happy there is now one in my neighborhood. Healthy, fresh, and delicious options. The new spot is bright and light and airy. ...opening week is tough and needs some customer service tweaks. I ordered a drink, but when I got to the drink bar there was no tea out. I asked at the counter and the cashier gave me a grunt and a shrug. She said she didn't know anything about it. Not a good answer. I mention to a floor person, no response??? I would not have paid for a drink but the line was long and I had no desire to impede the progress of other customers by asking for a refund. Another change, and I assume the Mt P one is now the same...most meat toppings have an up charge now, as much as $3.00. However, Harrissa Honey Chicken is to die for, so $3.00 it is. The rest of the kitchen and counter staff was all smiles and helpful...truly my absolute fave place to go...and never skip on an order of crispy pitas. You'll thank me...

New location in the West Ashley area by Whole Foods! Typical cava decor but the lights are motioned activated and they cut off often . There was only one single person working that I could see and he was helpful once I figured what I wanted ! The food is always good to me but not enough protein ! Even so I indulge when I can and love the pita chips .

A-MAZING. My first time having it ever and it was from this location. My oh my. I placed an online order but I got the steak-feta pita and it was delectable.

Finally made it to Cava in West Ashley and it was vibrant and full of flavor. This place reminds me of Zoes Kitchen which I loved. The service was fast and the restaurant was very clean. The server was helpful and nice. We got the avocado chicken bowl and steak bowl both big bowls and fresh tasting. Try to go as soon as they open it gets busy.

Harissa avocado bowl and lamb pita.
Amy D.

I'd never eaten at a Cava. Excellent, healthy options! Their drinks are yum. Had lamb meatball pita and harissa avacado bowl. Both delicious but this bowl was fantastic! A decent amount of heat and all veggies super fresh! I'll be craving it. Service was a little slow but very friendly, it's a varied menu for staff to learn, so have patience. So glad to have this new, quick spot.

Staff was rude. This is also the second time that pieces of the rice have been hard as a rock making it inedible to eat.

One of the waitresses actually took my number down because I kept calling to see if they had a certain special added to the menu and she called me this morning at 7:15 and told me they didn't have it and I rushed right down and she made it feel like it was such a big deal anyways I just can't say enough good things about these wonderful people who run it! The prices are pretty typical for Charleston prices, but you're getting what you're pay for. I've been here eight years now and it's some of the best food I've had down here in the Low Country! The fellows sitting behind me had the seafood omelette. I've never seen anything quite like it, but it looked Delicious and Amazing! .

The space inside is open, spacious & clean with booths and regular tables. Full view of all the kitchen action & several "Specials" boards on the walls. The staff are very welcoming, prompt & knowledgeable about the menu. I had a Tuna Melt sandwich with fries, my friend the Club with soup as a side. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The question I asked is why did it take me so long to check it out. Pricing beyond fair. Clientele ranged from college students, to retirees to family gatherings ... across the board... Fo not miss!!!

I did remove some of the cream cheese since it was spread on a bit heavy. He said it was simple, but excellent. It is a cute little place with delicious food and a friendly staff. There is parking, but it can be a bit tricky. I love the casual and relaxed vibe. We will definitely go back for the mushroom toast and try something else next time. They also accept Blackbird, which is a nice bonus. Overall, all good things about this breakfast and lunch spot.

I wanted to try this place because of the positive reviews and because I love mediterranean food…read more I thought maybe it would be one of those hole in the wall surprises... but, it was disappointing. I got the Chicken Shawarma Platter since that's what I saw mentioned the most in reviews. The chicken with dry, the "garlic sauce" was basically mayo, the rice was also dry and wasn't necessarily a flavor I would pick. There was one dolmas (even though the menu says 2), and it was good (to be fair, I didn't say anything about it). I imagine their greek salad would be good because the small side salad on the plate was good. For $16 though, it was pretty disappointing. When I think platter, I think more like sharing size, but this was pretty comparable to most places one person meal. I didn't finish it, but mostly because it was really dry and didn't taste great. We also got fried pickles (okay, but pretty greasy and they could really use some kind of dipping sauce), the hubs got the Ribeye Philly, he said it needed some kind of sauce and that he didn't feel the need to come back, so... nothing noteworthy. The kids got chicken fingers and fries. They polished off the fries (they were good!) but left most of the chicken fingers, I didn't try them, so... and lastly, the ambiance... if I had to pick between here and somewhere like Kairos, I'd pick Kairos... it's cleaner, they have music going, and my kids like to watch the videos of people making the kairos food. Med Diner has no music, the vibe is a bit weird (like someone cut out the middle back of all the chairs with like a saw or something), it feels a little thrown together and sad. I saw a handful of people go through the drive through while we were there, so maybe there's just something else they are better known for and we hit an off day. Just not my vibe.
