When I pulled up to this outlet of the area's salad chain of good repute, I thought it might be drive-through takeout because of the way the road ringed around the little building. It was not, and I had to get out of my car and walk in to get my salad, but it was nonetheless a quick experience, which was on point as I had things to do. The salad was predictably majestic, both in appearance and in substance. Getting things like baked falafel and pecans make it quite substantive, and their ranch dressing is vegan and helps the kale go down. This is a place that offers tons of customization options, plenty of substance for the plant-based diner who wants an actual meal, and distinctive local flavors. And while the overall economic trends are well known, the price here was not the most expensive bowl I've had lately, despite the fact that it was of high quality and there was a good amount of stuff packed in there. I have no complaints.

Absolutely obsessed with the Mesa Verde as a bowl. I love how fresh everything is, made to order (unless you do premade grab and go) and huge portions. If you're eating the bowl right away I recommend getting the dressing mixed in. The staff is incredible! They are all super friendly and very fast. I also reccomend adding an oatmeal cookie to your order, so good.

I stopped in today to check out the new location and it's a great additions to the Mixson neighborhood. My dog groomer is down the street so I dropped off my pup for a trim and picked up lunch. You walk in and go through the line which is standard for fast casual spots. I did a build your own wrap and made my own spicy buffalo chicken. I did romaine, corn, spicy broccoli, jalapenos, chicken, blue cheese, cucumbers, buffalo hot sauce, and vegan ranch. I have to say this was a great lunch and I would order it the same way again. I also picked up a chickpea salad for a friend and was excited to see they have daily soups which I didn't know about.

We were on yelp looking for healthy food options for lunch and saw that Verde opened a spot near park circle!! Woo-hoo! The restaurant was tiny but cute, nice outdoor seating & the staff was very welcoming. The food was excellent! We will be back!

Verde's salad with romaine, baby spinach, roasted turkey, hard-boiled egg, avocado, grape tomatoes, bleu cheese, and bacon sounds like a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The agave mustard dressing must add a unique touch of sweetness and tanginess. Pairing it with a refreshing strawberry limeade with lemonade sounds like the perfect complement to balance out the savory flavors of the salad. Overall, it seems like a satisfying and well-balanced meal option from Verde. Layla assisted with menu options and explaining ingredients.

The whole place feels quaint and local, yet refined and classy. First off I love that it's a full service bar and eating at the bar is no problem. Second I absolutely love they sell pitchers of beer. Not many taps, but still pitchers. And it's mostly local beer. I was with my husband and we wanted to try several things and took recs from the bartender who was awesome. We ordered the pork dumplings, the scallion pancake and the spicy sichuan hot karaage rice bowl. And we made it a combo with miso soup and an egg roll for $4. The pork dumplings were SO good. I could eat a meal of those alone. They were dense and flavorful and the dipping sauce was slightly spicy. The scallion pancake was a surprise delight. It was crispy and not too greasy again with a delicious dipping sauce. The miso soup...chefs kiss. It looked like ordinary miso soup but there was something extra that we really loved!! And the egg roll was big and juicy and fried and wonderful. It's a veggie egg roll but don't let that fool you. So much flavor and again the sweet chili dipping sauce left us drooling. Most of those sauces are too sweet but this was the perfect blend and the perfect spice level. The rice bowl was full of flavor!! The spice on this is quite a lot so make sure you can handle heat if you order the "hot" version. But again lots of flavor not just hot. Thank god we didn't order anymore food because this was plenty for the two of us to leave full and honestly we could've had leftovers. We will 1000% be visiting again and fully understand the hype around this phenomenal restaurant!!

All the dishes we ordered, from the miso soup and pierogis with salsa macha, to the karaage-don and peanut noodles, were savory and satisfying to eat. The texture and appearance of the chicken for the karaage-don bore more of a resemblance to General Tso's chicken with its battered and crunchy exterior, and it didn't quite have the tender and juicy interior I was hoping for, but I enjoyed the lemon mayo pairing which resulted in a flavorful finish. The Peanut Noodles reminded me of certain iterations of Dan Dan Noodles and certainly tasted fine on its own, but adding the thick chunks of bacon/pork belly was essential in elevating this dish to the next level. The restaurant was very lively on a Thursday afternoon, and the staff very warm and inviting throughout our meal. My drink hit the mark for me, and I found the cocktail menu fun and creative. In fact, I would say "fun and creative" summed up our overall experience at Jackrabbit Filly. Just ask my daughter, who started dancing the entire lunch the moment she saw the disco lights in the bathrooms.

Despite the longer wait times, our server was very nice and doing her best to take care of us. My review is solely on the food because the whole point of RW is to bring in more business during a slow month to invite more people to try more places and showcase their food. I appreciate that they had GF options since my hubby is celiac. We got the Tom khá (coconut soup) - I do prefer mine a bit more savory so a dash of fish sauce from the spice caddy made it taste better. 4/5 Chicken Larb- I didn't remember if this dish is usually served on the colder side. But the temp of the chicken was below room temp. Which for me I didn't mind bc I prefer my food not hot lol I know it's weird but perhaps for someone else it wouldn't have been as pleasant. I thought it was packed with flavor and the lettuce cups were refreshing with it. We didn't get that many larger pieces so it kind of turned into like a Larb salad towards the end with the inside pieces. 4/5 Panang curry- I do prefer my curries to be a bit more creamy, but this one was a bit loose. We did squeeze like 3 limes and added more fish sauce to it bc it lacked that depth of flavor we're used to in a curry. That first bite of curry usually tells us if it's right on point or needs a bit of this or that. 3/5 Beef Pad Thai- this was one of the best pad Thais I've eaten. I was pleasantly surprised and couldn't stop eating it. I like the type of noodle they used which was a bit thinner but the texture was perfect as well as the flavor. 5/5 Again, I do want to give this place another chance on a normal day but it was still a decent experience despite any delays. I would want to try some different dishes off their regular menu next time.

It's a great trendy location on the edge of Park Circle, conveniently has a small parking lot in addition to street parking and a tiny city lot close by, woman owned, and decorated super warm and inviting. So I really really wanted to like this place. Maybe it was the day I chose to go. I used YELP to reserve a spot on the waitlist, and met a friend for brunch before going into Highwater. Maybe they were unusually slammed. I ordered a Buzzed Donut, coffee rubbed bacon, with an over-easy egg on a pop biscuit doughnut with a side of shredded hashbrowns & mocha dip. Sounds amazing and unique! But the one I was served was burnt, hard, and had obviously been sitting under some heat too long and was past the point of being served. I politely brought it to my server's attention both dark coloring, hard texture, and burnt taste were affected, and while she did inquire, the answer was that it was the last one so a re-order was not an option. I was not trying to make a stink to my server or make my friend late to the festival, and they couldn't rush a new item, so I ate around the hard/burnt part politely. When the bill came, the server informed me she took 15 percent off that item. Everyone has off days, and I really wanted to like this place but the more I think about it the crazier it is to think I paid 85 percent of a meal that shouldn't have been served. When I worked in food service, I would have never served an item in this condition. I would have simply apologized that I didn't realize the kitchen was out, taken the item off the bill, and brought a replacement item or dessert at no charge. I had excitedly announced it was my first time trying this place when the server first introduced herself, and I'm just disappointed it wasn't 100 percent wonderful.

The crawfish was cooked well and had great flavor. The only thing we noticed was they were a bit juicy--we think they may not have soaked in the boil as long, which usually helps absorb more flavor. My husband really enjoyed them (this trip was mostly for him!), but they were a little spicy for me. I ended up getting a Caesar salad with fried crawfish tails instead, and it was huge--I only made it through about half. We also got margaritas during happy hour--both were really good. I had the lychee margarita, and my husband got the mango with a Cajun rim. Service was very good--our waiter was attentive and friendly. The only small downside was that we did feel a little rushed. It does say on the menu that they ask guests not to stay longer than 1.5 hours, so just something to keep in mind. They are pet-friendly, and we sat outside. There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the tables had umbrellas, which was nice. The only other thing we weren't thrilled about was the credit card surcharge--it was around 3-3.5%, which feels a bit high, especially since most people don't carry cash anymore.
