On September 25, my wife and I decided to check out this Mediterranean and Greek style restaurant. This restaurant has multiple choices of Greek and Mediterranean salads, fries, gito and souvlaki type Greek wraps. The restaurant is self order, but the help is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful when it comes to putting together your choices. Kairos has more choices than most restaurants in its class. The food was excellent fresh and worth every penny of the $40 we spent. Portions are very large. We shared a bowl of feta fries and the two of us could barely come close to finishing. The sandwiches were loaded with fresh vegetables and sauces from the Mediterranean and tender meats. Although a little pricey you do get your moneys worth when it comes to portions and choices. I give this restaurant five stars. It is definitely worth you trying. read more

Tried ordering online to use the $5 off coupon that kept popping up on my computer. When I went to check out, I received notification that I must spend at least $5 but the amount was over $14 so... Building my pita, which started at $12 with one meat choice so I picked LAMB which is fitting for a pita, right?!? (ok, maybe for mine) but that added $2, which is ok, but I was completely disappointed with the end product. I paid $14.48 for a pita that I had to doctor before eating. They barely put a hint of tzatziki or feta and yes, I could've asked for more of both - for an up-charge, of course. Luckily I had plenty of water, the lamb was very dry. Probably will go to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill instead, where I KNOW they have fantastic food! read more

I love this concept! It's like a Mediterranean chipotle in every way. I cannot speak to the service or ambiance too much as I carried out my order, but the employees were nice enough. Kairos was very empty on a Saturday around noon. Maybe people overlook this place since it's near Azalea Square. Negatives first: lack of seasoning, crunchy rice, and store bought pita. Positives: the sauces really do make the dish (tzatziki, spicy avocado, hummus), convenience, healthier alternative to fast food, nice change. Don't sleep on this place for a quick bite. read more

Love this concept as much as some others have mentioned- especially in this area full of fast food frenzy on a busy street. Falafel isn't the best we've had but definitely a solid option if you are feeling garbanzo goodness and the lentils are great. I had the Med Caesar (hold the chickpeas) with tzatziki and hummus spreads. It was SO good. I really enjoyed it. We split an order of the feta fries and those were also better than I expected. Kairos Mediterranean is always delicious. My kiddos constantly be for Kairo's Greek food, especially the feta fries! This is one of our favorite places in Summerville. Sadly, we do not have many Greek options in the Charleston area, especially at a modest price point. The restaurant has recently been redecorated and is family friendly with nice booths and cute outdoor seating. Everyone on staff is super friendly and kind. I love that there are so many yummy, healthy options for the "build your own bowl". Ordering takes all of two minutes in line. The portioning is rather generous; especially if you get their Kairos Platter. I would like a fish option, but they do two different kinds of chicken. If you've been to a Mezza or Cava, this will fit easily into that mold. Same basic food choices. Music is upbeat and the seating was clean. Parking is private so easy to find a place to park and within walking distance of the movie theater. It's more of a fast food experience than fast casual so you won't miss much if you just order to-go. My only complaint is the wait staff is a tad perfunctory. No one said hello when I walked up to the line, they just walked to the ordering place and looked at me. It didn't improve when I checked out. "Card or cash?" and then walked away. Again no pointing me to the utensils or saying thanks for coming. The entire interaction from start to finish was 5 words. With this being our first time here, the servers were patient with us and answered every question that we had. They also gave their recommendations on what they like which I appreciated especially when it came on what to add to our meal. Food: Food was great! My wife and I chose to make our bowl with different choices of protein. We both added different veggies and beans to it and we enjoyed the end result of it.
