The food here is actually very good and the facility appears to be well kept and sanitized frequently. They do enforce their mask policy as well. I didn't have a mask with, me but they provided me with one. My last visit was pleasant but it was a busy afternoon and the only table available was across from the drink dispenser. I looked over at what appeared to be a funky swamp they had open and directly on view of their customers. I have to admit I still ate but was thoroughly grossed out. I can't imagine sitting so close to black mold is very healthy. I hope management does something to address this quickly. read more

I always go to this location after I finish my workouts and the experience is pretty solid every time. This time though, there was this new topping called the 'Fiery Broccoli' and I was excited about it. Cyrus took the time to actually explain to me what it was and made me feel welcomed; small gestures speak volumes to me as a customer. There was also this cashier named Francesca that was the sweetest person ever. She made sure my experience was all good and I really appreciate when workers take the time to actually make sure that everything is to my liking. (3.5) stars for this location. BUT, I still love Cava and would probably still come back since it's the closest to me. I've been to the Costa Mesa and Irvine locations and discovered the Anaheim hills location, which is a lot closer. The food is consistent to the other locations. You can't go wrong with the ingredients and sauces they have to offer. I feel like everyone should try this place. (Don't they tell you your meals should have a variety of color). Also, anyone trying should get a drink. Their teas and lemonades are actually above average. Why 3 stars? It was pretty dirty in the restaurant. Every single table had food remnants on it. As i was eating, I couldn't get over the fact of how dirty it was around me. The entire time employees were in and out and no one wiped any tables. Bleh. The silver silverware was also not stocked as there weren't any forks around. Luckily it wasn't my first time at a CAVA but the overall upkeep at this location was definitely a downer. Love getting the build your own bowls here - this place reminds me of a Mediterranean style Chipotle. I like to get the grains+salad bowl. I enjoyed the meatballs and chicken proteins. I have been going to cava for years. More recently when i have gotten my usual bowl the employees have been putting less and less meat. I always ask for braised lamb which is $4 more than the other meats. Last time i went there the girl put one small chunk of meat. when i asked for more she barely picked up any meat, and left me embarrassed to ask for more. Did all the lazy chipotle workers move to cava? Seems so! read more

So my honest opinion is that it was just alright. Nothing spectacular or memorable that would make me go back a second time. The sauces were just ok, the complimentary pita bread was mediocre, and my bowl itself was pretty bland. The chicken in my bowl lacked seasoning. I would skip and go elsewhere. Super pleased with this new installment! We first tried CAVA in its first week open, where we stood in line for 45 minutes and got takeout; admittedly, we didn't like the seemingly small portions for the ~$12/person price tag, but the food was still good. What I want to review is our very recent afternoon visit, in which we ate our food in the restaurant. Totally different experience! The portions/bowls in which they serve the food are huge; I had to get a to-go container for mine. Their brown basmati rice, chicken, hummuses, feta, and lemon herb tahini are my favorite parts of the grain bowl I order. Their lemonades are also a high point. They have plenty of protein options, including two different kinds of lamb dishes. The staff is also friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have! I really want to point out CAVA's commitment to sustainability, too. They use ceramic bowls and washable silverware when you dine in, and their straws are paper while the cups are recyclable plastic; they also have a recyclable waste trash can beside their regular waste one. It's just cool to see a restaurant consistently exercise more sustainable practices. Thanks for that, CAVA! read more
