I am SO EXCITED that I found this place while I was staying overnight for work in Anaheim. I made the mistake of eating at Panera the week before, and peaked into CAVA after picking up my food and realized that's where I should have been eating! For around $13 you can pick a bowl (pick you grains, greens or a mix!) and add sauces (hummus etc) and then proteins - again you can mix 2 (Chicken, roasted vegetables, falafel etc). And then some other add-ons like cucumber/tomato salad etc and small pita. In the end you have a nice hefty bowl, which can be healthy if you want, or not so healthy if that's what floats your boat. I loved it so much I came here for dinner 2 nights in a row. On my 2nd night in I realized I had completely forgotten my wallet and asked if they could just leave the bowl and I'd run back to my hotel to grab my wallet. They offered that I just take my food and come back later to pay! SO NICE! read more

I was super excited to see CAVA sign and couldn't wait to try it. I love Mediterranean food and I love customizing my own food. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my experience at CAVA. What I ordered: Greens & grains with hummus, eggplant + red pepper, tzatziki, chicken & grilled meatballs, seasonal toppings, cabbage slaw & tomato-cucumber, lemon tahini sauce. The chicken was very bland. The meatball was nicely charred and slightly more seasoned than the chicken. The toppings and sauces didn't help the flavor of my meal. We also noticed pricing differences between the printed board menu and paper menu. The service was fine. Some workers were friendly and some were not. 3 stars!! I am being generous with this review. Really disappointed at my last visit here. We drove from Corona because we usually love the food here. Service is usually fast and the food is good quality. Today was a different story. First, they were out of rice, but not because it ran out, they just hadn't cooked enough. It wasn't even that busy. So we waited 15-20 minutes for them to cook the rice. When it was ready that didn't even season it. It was white and clearly not the usual yellow color and it didn't taste the same. After all that I went to get the harissa chicken and guess what, they were out! Again not because it was out of stock but they just weren't cooking fast enough. Meanwhile they have 6 people on staff so they should have had plenty of time to keep their food stocked up if it was managed properly. read more

First off I would just like to say yesterday was my first time at CAVA. The food was amazing hands down! I just want to say the worker Reese was a complete Angel! I can not express enough how unbelievable helpful she was! She was kind and gave amazing recommendations. Had a big smile on her face I loved the girl! However the other workers were not so nice. The guy who was finishing up the sauce toppings didn't even look at me then he walked away to go talk to his friend who was not behind the counter and told the cashier to finish helping me like if I was a dog. The cashier was im assuming also in a bad mood because she was rolling her eyes. She was upset when I asked for a bag for my food. I understand everyone is entitled to a bad day but to be treated like trash from two workers at the same establishment is insane. The food was amazing and Reese is the only reason I'm even leaving a 3 star review. The rest of the service from the staff left a terrible taste in my mouth. read more

Order was wrong, no pita bread I'm the bag, and I ordered the drink and was given an empty cup. Really!? Am I supposed to drive over after my delivery guy drops it off? I found this eatery through Yelp. When I saw the name of it, I got excited and thought that I was going to have Spanish sparkling wine! L O L, but it is actually a much, much nicer version of a subway or chipotle? You get in line and order and then, as you move through the line, you let them know what you would like added to your salad. But they have so, so many choices of items not typically in a salad. I normally go to the one by UCLA, but came in with my dad out in OC and it was just as good. I always order the lamb meatballs but when i went they had his seasonal veg main side that looked great so they let me do half and half. I thought the cashier would hand me my bowl since I was standing right there and it had been sitting there for a couple of minutes. Rather than hand me my bowl, she started slicing avocados for the next two people. I waited, thinking okay, she'll hand me my bowl after she slices the avocados. Nope. It was empty when we walked in so you would think that everything would be stocked and ready to go for people coming in. They were out of meatballs, cucumbers, kalamata olives, all the sauces were low, and they were out of forks.The girl working the first part of the line was not helpful AT ALL. Her only response was that they were out of things and did not give any information as to wait times for things go be ready or anything or give any solutions. Even though it's pretty much the same concept as Chipotle but a Mediterranean food, its pricey compared to Chipotle and portions are not that big either. It's pretty easy to locate, Google Map takes you right to the location. It has private parking lot and places are limited since it shares it with different shops from the complex. It has indoor as well as outdoor seating options available. I liked the decor of the place - simple yet trendy. Staff were friendly, made small talk during the entire time while smiling. I got the grain bowl + greens [lentils] and added falafel as the extra protein. I was quite impressed with the variety of sauces/toppings they provide. P.S. make sure to try our the lemonades and don't be afraid to mix and match the lemonades. read more

So this Mediterranean "chipotle" style selection fast-tuarant gets a conditional 5 stars. Apparently they just opened 3 days-ish ago; it's shows. Not a criticism so much as an observation. The selection options should give you a unique meal for the next 10 years. Everything tasted fresh and was flavorful. The brown rice did taste a bit under cooked, but again, new, so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. While the wait might make me chose a off peak time (though 9pm on Sunday should've been off peak? ) I am looking forward to the next concoction of meats and sauces! Stopped at Cava for the first time tonight at the height of the dinner rush. Line was long but it moved along at a reasonable pace. The staff was very friendly and helpful even with them being slammed. It's like an elevated Mediterranean Chipotle as far as how you can build a bowl etc. I loved the options! I chose to build a greens/grain bowl and was so impressed with the options and quality. I rarely take the time to write reviews but this was worth it. Everything was DELICIOUS. I could eat real Mediterranean food every meal of every day. This quick takeout approach to it was a 10/10. Things I especially loved: the roasted sweet potatoes, the garlic sauce, lemon tahini dressing, all the veggies. Just excellent! read more
