I went here because they hosted the wicked wine run at their location. This was about 45 min outside of Charlotte. The vineyard was nice small but nice. They had outdoor seating with was mainly where most people would sit because inside was very small. I believe they had a little room inside that would hold maybe about 30-50 people. There wine was good. It was more in the dry side they had about 6-10 wines to try. They had reds and white. I will be back to check out more if there menu. This place would be great if you want a glass of wine or two on a nice day to sit outside and chat with family and friends. read more

A fantastic vineyard with a warm inviting environment. My wife and I stopped there while visiting town. One of the owners was there and she felt like family within minutes. They have a broad spectrum of wines for every taste and the pricing was good. In my opinion the best red was the Wiffer, the best white is the Megan Elizabeth and the best sweet is the Mae Belle. Stopped by for a tasting and since it was in the middle of the week, it was not crowded and did not need reservations. I did the wine tasting and picked 8 wines. The ambiance was nice and the background music was pleasing and at a low volume. The European dry wines were really good and reasonably priced. In fact the port wine cheese and crackers were also reasonably priced. Service was excellent and the proprietor was very friendly and welcoming. This place was a good spot to spend a couple of hours and chill on a Sunday afternoon. We plan to return with friends next time. read more

A cute boutique winery. We had a great tasting of dry and sweet wines. This is a family run establishment with all grapes coming from within 35 miles. A true taste of the NC western region. The family is very knowledgeable and shared some delicious marinating ideas. In addition to wines there are a few cheese and snack choices as well as gifts. Pricing tips: Even if you buy 1/2 a case of wine you will still be charged for tasting. Which is almost $24 for 2. Also, there is a fee for using a credit/debit card based on your final bill. Which can be very excessive depending how much you spend. So bring cash and maybe share a tasting. read more

I decided to come here on a whim on Sundayfrom Mooresville. What a gem! I believe the owner greeted me and I did a flight of all whites. It was a beautiful property and the wine was delicious. The flight is 3 oz. Pours which is more than most vineyards in the area. It's only $15! Such a great place. read more

My visit to Cauble Creek Vineyard was a great experience! We were fortunate to spend time with the owner and to learn so much I didn't know about muscadine grapes. As a dyed in the wool red wine drinker with a deep love for CA wines, I decided to open my mind and my palate to North Carolina semi-sweet and sweet wines while also tasting European varietals. William Yost is so passionate about the muscadine grape snd loves to experiment with blending it with varietals. We'll be returning often for lessons and drinking his wines. I never imagined I'd come home with 4 bottles of NC wine today, or any other day for that matter!! Highly recommend a visit to Cauble Creek! Thank you William for a delightful visit! My friends and I came here a few weeks ago, did a tasting, bought a wine and just sat and relaxed. I finally opened a bottle of some of the wines we bought and now I regret not bringing more. Sweet Anita is such an easy drinking wine...sweet and rich, full of flavor and aroma! Now I need to figure out were to get more. We came here after finding a Living Social deal. Initially I was put back a bit since there was no tour of the winery. They do give you a brochure and you can wander around the vineyard, but I like going to the wineries and seeing the process in action. The bartender doing the tasting was very friendly and nice. However, we were both a bit turned off when she mentioned that she doesn't have a wine pallet.. I guess I just like having someone a little more informative doing the wine tastings, especially when their supposed to be describing the different wines. As for the wines themselves, there were six made from the muscadine grapes grown on premises. They made two different whites, two reds and two blushes, but all six were overly sweet. Now I don't mind a sweet wine every now and then, but some of these were like drinking pure grape juice. It definitely had to do with the type of grape, as the muscadines just make for a super sweet wine. They do import grapes from other vineyards to make a pinot grigio and a dry red wine. For some reason they decided to carbonate the grigio so it had a bit of a bite to it, and the red had a super strong dry taste that was way too dry for me. On the plus side, the wine bottles were only $10, which is a decent price for winery bottles. We ended up buying a bottle for my mother-in-law since she is a fan of sweet Carolina wines. If you like sweet Carolina wines, this is the place to be. The staff are friendly (though not extremely informative) and the grounds make for a nice place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the sights. If you don't like your wine like sugar, I would recommend steering clear of this place. read more

Overall great winery that provides a great experience if you like muscadine wine. It was the first NC winery I visited after buying a Living Social deal. Wine: mostly muscadines made very well, all very sweet Staff/Owners: incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the growing North Carolina wine region, but maybe not too much about wine Grounds: no tours but you can wander the beautiful grounds, and pick off grapes to try. Farm like grounds with some small hills in distance. What makes this winery special: out of other muscadine wines I have tried, this winery has some of the better. Also, in their nice tasting room they sell great jams and salsa. They provide some snacks to much on, and again are very nice and friendly staff. I would return. read more

On a whim we tasted the wines from this winemaker. As I'm not very familiar with Muscadine wine I want to begin to appreciate the value of the wines our grandparents used to drink before vinifera became so popular. Although I still cannot say that I am a fan of Muscadine wine I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fruit. Anita, the wife of the winemaker, made the tasting extremely enjoyable with her stories and her knowledge of the wine, and her overall ability to carry on a conversation. I will say there was one Muscadine wine that stood out in my mind as the best. That would be a blush rose called "Carolyn Grace". You don't even get the "foxy" taste that you normally do when eating Muscadines. I would highly recommend it if you want to begin diving in the world of these types of wines. The Vineyard is a short drive from Winston-Salem/Greensboro/High Point in Salisbury. Stop by taste the wines, and have a discussion with Anita. It will certainly be an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two. read more

Came here on a Sunday with my fiancé. Place was easy to find. We were the only ones there which was nice! Decor was nice and warm. Staff was great and friendly. Tried several different types of wine. This place was my second stop on my day of touring wineries in the area. The vineyard is located on a farm it us awhile to get there but I like wineries that are in rural areas. The owners were very friendly and down to earth. My favorite wine there is the Sweet Anita which is actually named after one of their relatives. They also have good food products too the muscadine salsa was wonderful. The outdoor sitting area is relaxing and nice. I will be back. read more

Absolutely the best wine in NC. Lowest sulfite and this makes the taste of the wine wonderfully pleasing to the pallette. I have tried over 30 wineries in NC and I love this one. It is on a farm and they said we could fish there anytime. :) read more
