A definite place to stop in when in downtown Statesville. We dropped in mid-afternoon on a Saturday when it was quiet. They have an extensive craft beer menu. I had the jalapeño lager which was fantastic. I can only imagine how bumping this joint gets when a band is playing in the adjoining room on a Friday night. I am really happy I stopped in this local landmark.

This place got picked for our weekend adventure. We don't go to Statesville very often so we picked this. Upon arrival, what a great surprise. It's a Buffalo sports brewery/bar! Being raised near Buffalo, this was like going home! The front windows are decorated with Buffalo sports memorabilia and flags. As we walked in, you immediately notice that it's well-lit, they have a great bar to sit at and plenty of seating. You can pick regular tables or elevated bar stool tables. They have some seating in the main bar area and another area split off. We chose the split off area as more regular tables were there. We sat down and were immediately greeted by a very friendly server. The menu features some typical and atypical bar food. Wings, hot dogs, fries and other appetizers, an assortment of subs and sandwiches and such but also kicked-up deviled egg flight! You pick 6 of the flavors you want. We opted to try all 6 flavors. We also ordered 10 wings and 2 Whistlepig hot dogs (toppings of bacon and beer cheese). My wife also ordered hard cider and I opted for the Blue'sberry Ale. Cider and ale were very good, served in a stylish Red Buffalo glass. While we waited, the owner made a point to also greet us and we had a great conversation about the Buffalo area and the pain we both felt being Bills' fans . The egg flight came first with the 6 flavors. Just know it's 6 egg halves. All were very good and different. My favorite was the wasabi and Bloody Mary. My wife liked the loaded and Chicago egg. But they were all tasty. The wings and hot dogs came. Wings came with celery and bleu cheese (of course! Ranch in an abomination served with wings) The wings were crispy and of good size. Best bleu cheese I've had in years. Very thick and very pungent as it should be. We ordered medium heat. For us, I'd order hot next time. But the sauce was tasty and had decent heat, I'd just like a little More kick. Personal preference. The hot dogs were very good as well. Plenty of toppings and everything was cooked well. All in all, 10/10 and a great experience all around. I've been hearing some teasing information they might be getting roast beef on weck! For those of you who know, YOU KNOW! Can't wait for our return trip to the Res Buffalo. Come down and meet these folks. You'll be glad you did.

What a treat! I was rolling thru Statesville and found this joint on Yelp.....and the Yelp community was dead on. The food was excellent and the beer was too. I had a jalapeño ale and it was unique and tasty. I had Buffalo wings that were crispy and flavorful. The service was very good too.

In short - the Red Buffalo is a fun loving, small town brewery experience that Statesville sorely needs. The long? This bar has some very kitschy and fun decor with high on life servers with a pretty good selection on beer. I came here after a Statesville After Five event on a Friday evening, and I was intrigued by the number of outdoor clients on both the front and back patios. The last few times I've come into town, I have been curious on both the offerings and the vibe of this brewery. Let me start with an interesting, to me, tidbit- at the Friday After Five event, this brewery had a tent set up with a few draft beers. I tried the Angry Brunette Black, as labeled on the banner. I asked the server what type it was, and he said it was an ale as written, though not explicitly so. It definitely looked and tasted like a stout. It was really good, and I ended up with another despite the server's insistence that it was an ale. I decided to visit the brick and mortar location later in the evening to see the extended menu. Before entering, I noticed the fun back patio and made my way around to the front patio that was all very lively with patrons. Once I entered, I took a seat at one end and decided to order a red ale. It had a decent flavor and body profile, but I soon moved on to the off menu strawberry ale at the suggestion of another patron. This strawberry ale had a great creamy body and hints of strawberry. I ended up with two of these by the end of the night. The most entertaining factor were the regular patrons and the servers. The conversations and actions were routinely comical and light hearted. The venue also had live music while I was there, and may I say - while I am so pleased that this artist was there this evening, his talents are well worth larger and better populated venues. All in all, the Red Buffalo served well for a night of entertainment and antics with some decent craft brew to imbibe. It is an excellent venue for the small town of Statesville, and seemingly attracts excellent talent for a Friday evening.

This is one of the most fun eclectic decorated places I've visited. I just kept looking around and appreciating it. Unique is an understatement. Go visit just to see the decorations. The beer was pretty good. They were mixing some and that made some tasty interesting drinks...a jalapeño pale ale being one of my favorites. The service was excellent. Everyone was nice and welcoming.

This place a hidden gem! Lots of Locals and if you want some awesome craft beer this is the spot. Food looks amazing and all the servers were amazing I came here 2 days in a row. The brewery an led restaurant was very laid back on Tuesday and Wednesday but over all a great spot. If I'm ever in NC I'd come back here again.

Such a great find while traveling Statesville. We are die hard Buffalo Bills fans from NY and what an eclectic fun place, not to mention a fantastic staff and great brews. They have music and food trucks and certain days and the owner is a great guy from Buffalo. Took the time to chat with us and to show us his portable brewery/fire truck. I highly recommend the chocolate stout, and the jalapeño beer as well as the house ale. I wished we lived closer!

Without a doubt one of the most friendliest places in Statesville. Great beer and great music. If your in the area you have got to check this place out. Say hi to Joe the owner.

I know good beer but didn't know how to rotate this photo.

This is my place to go to. The place to go have a pint or fill a growler. I am an IPA guy and the ClockTower is my go-to, but it's a tough choice over the brown double IPA. My new love is the Last Call Shandy. It's 8%, but taste like a summer's afternoon, WOW! The big news is now they have a kitchen and it is as solid as the beer selection.

Good cold beer! Nice sitting area out front and back. Live music, events and food trucks.

I love the place craft beers are not my thing but they do have sake mixed drinks that are absolutely phenomenal! And they don't price gouge on the wine.

They also threw in chips and salsa at no cost which was such a pleasant treat. I really loved the meal. It's a big spacious restaurant. We were seated promptly and brought some warm chips and salsa. Salsa was good. Chips were basic. Service was prompt. The food was just ok. The chicken enchilada verde was quite good. The chicken was moist and seasoned. The verde was a tad bland, but the chicken was seasoned so well that it balanced out. The pork tamal was drier than the Sahara desert and basically inedible because of how dry it. The pork had a strong flavor of raw chili. The tamal is a hard pass. The refried beans were watery. The rice was bland. The pollo tropical was bland. The portions were actually small, but we did get lunch portions, so they were expected to be a little smaller. The prices were good. Our whole ticket with drinks was under $30. I likely wouldn't go back because there was an overall theme of a lack of seasoning in the food.
