This is a super cute tasting room, and right in our backyard! We planned to head to Yadkin Valley, but when we saw the great reviews at this vineyard and realized how close it was, we headed here instead. There is not a lot of parking outside, but we were able to find a spot. We went during the pandemic, so when we walked into the tasting room, we were told that only a certain number of individuals were allowed at the bar at one time, and that we could put our names on the list and find a table outside where we could drink a glass of wine or a wine slushy if we wanted. We grabbed wine slushes, cheese and crackers and found a table; it was a perfect day and a shady spot. We were provided a cutting board and a knife for the cheese, so no need to bring your own. They have a really nice event space behind the tasting room, and it looked like they were breaking down a small party and setting up for a wedding reception while we were there. We had front row seats, that was nice. Once the bar was available, we were called inside and we got to select six wines for the tasting. I like wines that are a little on the sweeter side, so I went with mostly fruit varieties, but I also tried a red. I really liked Pair of Ds, so much that I took a bottle home and wished I had grabbed two! I also liked Just Peachy and may grab a bottle next time. Some of the other fruit wines were too sweet for my taste, but the tasting was fun. When they closed a short time later at 6 PM everyone was told we had to leave. We couldn't even stay at the tables to finish our snacks, once the tasting room closed they kicked us out. So if you do go make sure you go early so you can really have a chance to enjoy yourself. But there is a lot of outdoor space, people brought picnic blankets to sit in the grass too. just a really nice place to either host an event or spend a day with friends.

    Beautiful outdoors!

The people here are as kind and friendly as it gets! The space is cozy, the outdoors well maintained and inviting, as well as cool (because they have a ton of ceiling fans and shade, hooray!). The wine selection is incredibly diverse seeing as it's not a massive winery. The deal you get though, $10 for a glass you keep and 6, count them 6, wines to taste. You can pick up snacks inside as well or bring your own food, and you'll want to stay a while here! There's even a gift shop with a selection of items from painted wine glasses to shirts and more.

Beautiful location out of the city. Great place to go if you like sweet infused wines, not my cup of tea. Owners are friendly and engaging. Rental space available for parties and weddings.

My second time at Douglas Vineyards. Went with family and friends for my birthday. Four used a Groupon and did the wine tasting. Each were able to choose six different wines to try. Once they tasted 6 of their own chosen wines to try they get 1 bottle and 4 glasses to take home. Douglas Vineyards has wine from sweet to dry in red, blush, muscadine and white. My favorite is their bronze medal winner Cabernet. Some of the wines that they had were: Rockin Raspberry, Bitchin' BlackBerry, Just Peachy, Apple Sauce, Wicked Watermelon, midnight Blue, pomegranate punch and more. They are open on he weekends: Friday 12-8 PM, Saturday 11-6 PM, and Sunday 1-5 PM. New since my last visit they built a covered area where you could have a party or a small wedding. Lastly, can bring your dog as we did. And yes he was the life of the party!

This vineyard is very beautiful. The inside of the tasting room is pristine, comfortable, and cute. They have an outside patio area that's covered in the back. It's gorgeous. It's so relaxing to sit back there and have a glass of wine. The owner did my tasting and you can tell he loves what he does. He's so nice to talk to. I enjoyed the tasting a lot. They have some great and unique wines. Especially some of the muscadine was not what I was expecting and worth a try. Gorgeous property!!

Came here on a wine tour while in NC. It is family owned I forgot the guys name that was assisting us but he was very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting option we had allowed us to try 6 different wines. The Carlos, just peachy and B!+ching blackberry were my faves! Be sure to check them out if you are ever in the area.

Overall I enjoyed my experience. The pros to this Vineyard were the crowd was on the younger side, they offered cheese & crackers and light snacks for purchase, The property of itself is beautiful, a few wines are made on property with the grapes that are grown there and the wine overall was very good. The cons were we felt rushed, the tasting literally lasted 20mins. No knowledge about the vineyard or the wine was given.

This place is north of charlotte a little in the country. Inside has nice decor. The wines are good with a range of wine for a diverse palette. They have snacks and games so you can drink and play. Went on a Saturday afternoon and they weren't too crowded. The place was cozy and I feel they have great potential so expansion should be examined. Overall I enjoyed myself and will likely return again. I got a bottle of the strawberry wine and I'm not even a sweet drinker, it was just that good. They said people love it or hate it. Well I fell in love at first sip. I really liked the merlot too. I fee that they are reasonably priced and had great customer service. It was a nice place to try in my wine tasting of nc. I recommend and enjoy.

Small tasting room, owner set up tent for surprise birthday party.

The owner could not have been more helpful and wonderful when we were looking for a winery to host a friends surprise birthday part. He provided a tent with table and chairs, along with a power supply. It was so convenient to go back inside and purchase more wine :) Such a peaceful setting, but finding this place is fun. Not much signage since they are still reverently new. You pull up and think am I in the right place since it is behind the owners home. The wines are pretty good. We tend to like drier wines and he had three that fit the bill nicely, two reds (Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon) and a white (Sauvignon Blanc). Lots of muscadine wines and some very tasty fruits wines. I really liked the bitchin' blackberry. The apple sauce was a little too sweet for me as was the midnight blueberry. I would highly recommend this winery for a little day trip, slow life down for a bit. Great setting and good wine.

Another vineyard added to my wine tour/crawl and I really loved Douglas Vineyards. It is tucked away on the back roads of Kannapolis. When you arrive it looks like you are the driveway of someone's home and Google maps directed you to the wrong location but you are at the right place, drive up the driveway and around to the left. The parking is on the other side of the building straight in front of you. They provide a great deal on wine tasting for various groups on Groupon, always a win! The vineyard is super cute and makes you feel at home. There are options on where you can enjoy a glass or a bottle of wine, the porch is covered there are several seating options outside, inside is smaller but a great place to sit if it is warmer outside. The wine tasting includes 6 wines, a Douglas Vineyard glass and a bottle of wine to take home or to drink. The staff was super nice and helpful during selecting wines to the tasting. I am not usually a fan of dry wines but I will say I enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. But my favorite was the B*tchin' Blackberry!! It is their best seller. The staff was nice enough to recork our bottle that we did not finish so we could take it home. The vineyard is a great venue for a smaller wedding or reception/party, they have a barn that sits across from the main vineyard building and lawn and vineyard are picture perfect.

Common practice for us around Christmas or other special occasions is a gift of wine and we would normally buy it by the case from Total Wine and More in Birkdale. We've already bought our Christmas Wine for this year. Your Wine Stop opened in Natelie Commons shopping center in October 2021 and just celebrated their one-year anniversary. Never stopped in until today even though Joey's, Pomodoro and Citrus the Diner are restaurants we frequently are in the same strip mall. Today my wife said she wanted to go back to Citrus the Dinner because of the Apple, Pecan, Turkey Salad Sandwich and the Morning Glory Muffin. There was a 30-minute wait to be seated. so, I walked down to check it out On Saturdays they do not open till noon, so I made a mental note the check it out after Brunch. After Brunch, I walked down while my wife moved the car down so she did not join me in the store. I was blown away. Nowhere as big as a Total Wine and More but a great selection of French, Italian and California Wines plus other from around the world. Good selection of Whites, Red and California Blended Wines. In the back left, is a great selection of Craft Beers and while still in cans and not on tap, a good starting point. What struct me was their Wine Station. It's currently 28 stations where individual wine are dispensed in 1,2, and 3 fl oz increments. There is an excellent video link of their website that gives an excellent overview. The wines are temperature controlled to the proper serving temperature and apparently blanketed with what I assume is Nitrogen to prevent Oxidation. To start off you purchase a card much like a prepaid Visa Gift Card and each time you use it, you transaction amount is deducted from the balance on the care. There was only one gentleman at the register, and he was assisting another customer, so I did not get a chance to ask my question of cost. Came home and checked out their website and there was a chat function, so I asked how much for the card and how many ounces is it good for, Quck response and the card on initial minimum purchase is $20 and price per ounce varies based on the cost of the wine averages between $1 and $3 per ounce. There is a number of tables where you can site and enjoy the wine. Have heard of this concept before with Beer but had never seen in in action. Retail pricing of the wines are good and very competitive. If I had to categorize the Store, I would categorize i more of a Wine Bar which is something that Denver and the West Side of Lake Norman need as an amenity.
