Some Beer Snobs (capitalizing of my own volition) will scoff (how's my vocabulary so far?) at this rating. However, I was here with a friend--West Virginia Bob--on a Tuesday night. In other words, it was empty. No rush at the bar, no new-age hippies dancing on picnic tables, and no one talking about their latest Disc Golf outings. All of this is good, but only 2-3 other patrons leads to a lack of energy. The beer was good. Service was very good. Didn't try popcorn or pretzels because it was a Tuesday. I need to attend again when it's busy.

John and family are beer drinkers- me, not so much. We were in town on a spur of the moment visit to see John's sister & we went out touring the area and that means breweries! This one had a pleasant surprise~ an arts market!!! Yay for me! This place must be insane on weekends normally- because there is overflow parking next door and it was packed! 2 birthday parties in full swing, the arts market and a food truck made for a busy evening! While the fam all ordered beers I shopped. They had port-o-lets outside and looked to be only single restrooms inside with a huge line. Yikes- I held it ;) Everyone was happy with the beers- this is my sister-in-laws favorite local brewery! Obviously popular with the locals!

Nice little discovery while on a brewery daytrip outside of Charlotte. Staff were friendly and made great recs for their offerings and even let me sample before I decided on my flight. Luved the atmo and ambiance as it fit right into their namesake motif; the handles were especially cool! None of the beers were incredibly memorable, but I did like all of the ones I tried. I'm a high gravity beer girl, so I wish they would have had more high abv options, but then again I wish that for almost every local brewery I visit. Definitely worth a stop in! I came on a Saturday afternoon and they had a little arts fair going out front, which was neat!

I really appreciated the welcoming personality of the bartender. She made me feel at home, offered me some tastes so I could decide on which beer to order. I sat outside, ate the lunch I brought with me (it's fine to do so) and did some work. I enjoyed seeing the local vendors' wares on display.

Never have had a bad beer here. We went to try the "old hag" beer. The glass was rimmed with caramel and Graham crackers. It was amazing. The brewery has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. As well as outdoor games and there is also a food truck that comes thru. There is a party room if needed. We actually went to a baby shower here. Several taps. They offer/sale pickles, pretzels, hummus, and even have a popcorn machine. A nice outing or planned visit!

Popped in for a candle making experience. Tried their pumpkin ale with caramel rim. Delicious! Candle making was fun too!

The beer was okay, but I can get "okay" beer anywhere, the service is what makes the difference. I'll go elsewhere next time.

She took it back and the bartenders response to her saying she thought it tasted weird was to shake his head for 10 seconds, then say "this is why we tell people to try a sample first, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just a different batch." The real kicker is that she got an IPA afterwards, and that REALLY tasted rancid and frankly just like shit. Their lines must be dirty or something happened in their brewing process because I've had all their beers, (have also had the two we ordered today) and I've never had an issue with them, they've always been pretty awesome. More than anything, it's a hospitality business - why make a customer feel shitty about them thinking your drink sucks? In particular, when they think it sucks because it tastes rancid... We've heard from friends that their staff can be pretty unwelcoming so this lines up. Do better.

The German biers are some of the best I've tried. Both the Cooper altbier and Hornets Nest were excellent while their porter was a little too heavy for me. There's a full bar for the non beer drinkers . OMB features a huge selection of food items including German classics like pork schnitzel, wursts and the Bavarian or classic Jumbo pretzels. I'd recommend the sampler plate with the Jalapeño Cheddar Bratwurst as one choice ( you get three) and Jumbo Pretzel with Cooper Bier cheese & Düsseldorf mustard. The sides, such as their German potato salad, red cabbage and sauerkraut are very good. In addition theres a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads to choose from. The outside venue is amazing with ample outside seating featuring a fire pit, corn hole ( collect bags at the bar), children's playground and a water station for pets. Overall a great place to grab a beer and enjoy some authentic German style food at reasonable pricing. In addition OMB features private rooms for special events. One note parking could be problematic when it gets busy on weekends or special occasions but if you're willing to walk you'll find parking somewhere .

There was music bingo Sunday afternoons, which sounds fun. But - the DJ had the music so loud that I'm pretty sure people a block over could have participated with no trouble. I like listening to good music, but when you're literally yelling at the people next to you, it's not a great experience. 2. My pet peeve - no changing table in the men's restroom. There's room for it, and Dads should be able to bring their kids out without worrying where they'll be able to change a diaper. I don't know if there was one in the women's restroom, but any place that's open to families should have a changing table available.
