First off, thank you, Jessica G.!!! Very kind, personable, and professional. You're awesome!! Superb Steakhouse!! My girlfriend and I stopped by last night, August 11th. Saturday evening. It was a full house! We got seated in 15 mins. While we waited, we grabbed a drink at the bar, so it wasn't bad at all. We both ordered the 14 oz. Ribeye steak. It was deliciously topped with battered onions and laced with love!! Probably the best I've ever had! My girlfriend loved her baked potato and corn. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely be stopping back by! read more

We came for a birthday dinner. Food was great! Cooked just right, the bread kept coming. The only thing I would complain about was the smell of dirty rag. Our booth smelled like dirty rag and the seats were all tore up. The food is very expensive (but great) and it's always packed, you would think they could repair the seats. read more

Ordered Christmas Eve Eve dinner (daughter is a nurse working on Christmas Eve and Christmas night). Our celebration was perfect thanks to the delicious filet mignons we all ordered! Hands down the best Steakhouse in the area! If you have an opportunity to dine @ this fine establishment, don't hesitate to stop in and chow down on a steak or sea food! The General manager Ignacio is a remarkable leader, leading his staff by example, the Kitchen manager Joe knows how to make sure a steak has those very noticeable checker grill marks for that ultimate sear for flavor. The bartender tonight was on top of her game by keeping up with all of the drink orders of the entire establishment, including the Christmas banquets that we're going on. A few nights ago Ashley B, was tending bar and made phenomenal cocktails. I'm frequently here and mostly all the staff knows me by name. Ashely A is a workhorse and never seems to miss a beat. If you're in the area, This place is a must! JP! read more

Yesterday, me, my wife & bonus son came here for dinner. I had the Rustler's Ribeye. My wife & son both had the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. I also had the Stuffed Mushroom appetizer. My steak was done perfectly (medium) and very tender. It was also the best-seasoned steak I've ever had! I also added a side of Bacon wrapped Shrimp. It's the best I've had. Clearly, applewood smoked bacon. I'd love to have 10 lbs. of just THAT! The shrooms were very good, also. Wife & son upgraded to garlic fries, while I had the 2x baked potato. All yummy! Bread & salad were very good, as well as the beans that come with. I took a piece of cheesecake home & had it later & it was a typical N.Y. style, kind of dry. We just finished my wife's "doggie bag" (Bacon-wrapped shrimp & some garlic fries) for lunch. Man, was that some great vittles! The last time I ate at a Cattlemen's was in Anaheim back in the early 90s and had excellent Prime Rib. The worst thing about it was driving from Fresno to Selma, but trust me, I'll get over it. The service was top notch and timely! Great job! Sorry for no pics, but I started eating & forgot about the camera! Fair pricing. I also found out what Harris Ranch beef is all about...It's excellent! All 3 of us had an amazing meal. read more

Honestly, this place did not live up to the hype. Steak was bland, beans had no flavor to speak of. Service was on point tho, bread was delicious tho. Not worth a return. read more

My Husband and I having been wanting to try this place BIG MISTAKE the service was horrible! And the food was ok, I totally get we are still in a pandemic but there were plenty of employees chit chatting around the bar walking around so it wasn't because they were short handed. We waited for our drinks for about 1/2 hour ordered them when nobody was at the bar. When we asked our waiter Will about our drinks were told that the bar was busy and that's why our drinks were taking so long . We got our drinks 5 minutes before our food got there we were frustrated at this point. Will checked on us 1 time after we received our food at that point I asked for the tab which took another 10 minutes and I had to ask again and Will's response was "oh I thought you guys wanted to chill" Never again will we come here! If i could give zero stars I would read more

I've driven by this place several times and have heard rave reviews about it. I was excited to finally get a chance to try it for the first time last night, but hate to say that I was completely disappointed. We went in as a large party of about 45 people. We were having a farewell get together for our boss. We had a reservations at least a month ago, so our menu was a set one. The dinner choices ranged from about $23 to $30. We had choices from filet mignon, New York steak, salmon, ribs, and chicken. All entrees included AYCE salad, beans, bread, a baked potato, and seasonal veggies. That was all fine due to our large party. We were seated in a private banquet room with about 7 tables. It surprised me that with that many people in one room, we had only 1 waitress who took our orders. Once again, understandable due to it being a busy Friday night. They probably couldn't spare more than 1 waitress. This made for slower service though. What disappointments me the most was the quality of our drinks. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 mixed drinks which were very weak. We could hardly taste the alcohol. They redeemed themselves on the second round because it was a bit better. Then, there's the food. Our whole entire table ordered steaks. All of them were over cooked. It was too much work to send them all back so, we ate them. Someone at our table also got the wrong cut of steak. He ordered a New York and got a filet. He did let the waitress know and she did eventually get his New York (cooked to medium rare as he ordered) but our table was almost done eating. Though very small, the meat had good flavor. Overall, my experience with Cattlemen's was meh. Not sure if I will return. read more

I made reservations for a party of 5 for a birthday celebration and went in and was sat accordingly. It was kind of busy, it being a Saturday night, but nothing crazy. I also work in a high volumn restuarant so I know what it is like to be busy. We were seated for a few minutes before a server named Tati came over and took our drink order so we ordered a round of waters and a couple of cocktails. Our cocktails came out and the waters didnt. While we were waiting, the workers had set up a table for what looks like a large party was going to be put down behind us. I thought they were going to seat a large party there, because another worker had brought out 5 or 6 glasses of water and set them on that empty table. So, Tati comes back to take our order and I asked her about our waters. I mean there we were, physically seated and had no waters, but the empty table behind us, where there was no one, had each a water glass at their placemat. So she asked another server or host (Rudy) to get us some waters. He was also the one who seated us and ask if we were celebrating anything, to which i answered that it was a birthday and he even wished the birthday boy a happy birthday. Our appetizers came out but one, the Tri tip tacos. We waited and even forgot about ordering them, until my sister in law asked my brother about them. At this point, a different server came out and dropped the tacos off and said she'd be right back with our other appetizers. We were all confused by this point. We also asked her for water refills and that never happened either. We were all sucking our waters dry! As if our waters never came out at the beginning of the night, our refills didnt either. We had to ask a couple of servers for water. By this point, we haven't seen Tati for a while and Id asked another worker, (couldnt tell if he was another server, busser or host) where is our server Tati and he responded " oh, she is probably busy with other customers." I get it...servers have more than a few tables. On busier nights I can have up to 5 or 6 tables, but seeing how business was that night, she couldnt have been that busy. Even when I am so busy and running in circles, if I cant make it back to refill my guests' waters, I will ask my service partner, busser, hosts, even my managers to help refill them for me. We saw a younger woman, who looks to be either a manager in training or assistant, def not a server, walking around and just kind of skimming over the tables and continued to walk around and the left without table touching or anything. Unacceptable. Then our food comes out.....I'd ordered the sizzling Cattlemens Cut Prime Rib, medium rare. My sister in law ordered the Western Cut Prime Rib, medium rare, and my brother, (Tri tip tacos guy) who just happens to be the steak connoisseur, and chose this particular restuarant, orders the Porterhouse steak medium rare. Both my sister in law and my prime rib was NOT sizzling! Hers was cooked medium rare, mine was practically seared on the outside and thrown onto a plate, and the Porterhouse? All our steaks were just luke warm! The birthday guy ordered all the trimmings on the side and the onions came out looking really sad, and the mushrooms were cold. I was able to finally waved down a server and asked her if they can cook my steak just a little bit more, just medium rare like my sister in law's. She proceeded to tell me its because of the cut of my meat thats why it looks undercooked....Im sure my cut of prime rib is just the same cut as my sisiter in law's, just different by a couple of ounces. She ends up bringing a whole new prime rib to me on a regular dinner plate. I just ended up packing it to go. I also noticed that on our receipt, it says our server's name is Jaz. Now I dont know who is Jaz, because all I know was Tati started us off...noone ever said anything about going on her break and so and so is going to take over our table. Because that is what servers are suppose to do. I never just go on break and leave my tables, nor do I let a server go on break and I dont go over and introduce myself. Even just a small gester like this can highly impact a guest's dining experience. I dont think my expectations of service are so high that it is unattainable. We, servers, work for our tips, we work hard. I am disappointed that being a steakhouse, our steaks were just mediocre. I am super disappointed that there are servers who, just didnt care enough. I give credit where credit is due and my guests and I, who wanted to celebrate a special milestone, wasted our time in your establishment. I have already told my family and friends to not waste their time and money coming to dine at your restaurant. With the money we spent there that night plus our gas driving there from Fresno, was all just a waste. We could've had great steaks at any restuarants in Fresno, and save on our time and money. read more

The food was delicious as always and the place wasn't very busy for a Sunday night. The service was horrible. First our party of eight were sat in a booth set for six. We asked to be moved to a table and told our waitress it was my grandsons 18th birthday. Ordered three appetizers, only two came out. Table was full of used salad and bread plates when our food arrived. Servers placed our entrees among the dirty dishes. We had to ask that they be removed. My granddaughter's entree didn't make it to the table and another waitstaff had to ask what she ordered. After 12 minutes they brought her an entree that was obviously meant for someone else as it had a baked potato with only bacon and cheese and she ordered fries. 8 minutes later the fries arrived. Drinks weren't refilled, had to ask for ketchup twice and then the bill was presented without a mention of the birthday. When I spoke to my coworkers about my experience, they also said how the service has really bottomed out at Cattleman's. It's a shame. read more

This was the only thing we enjoyed. We ordered a total of 4 steaks but we had to trade among ourselves since they were all made wrong. Either it was suppose to be medium rare and they came out well or when it was supposed to be medium well and they were medium rare. It was a disappointment considering it was our first time. We haven't return since then. read more

Yesterday was Mother's Day. Our family& friends go every year to Cattlemens for dinner. This year we had a group of 12 & reservation for 4:00. So far so good. Beverages were ordered..bread was delivered & orders taken. Our waitress went on break & that's when it all went downhill. All orders delivered except 3. Then 2 more delivered. I did not get my order till 5:30 & most of my party were done eating. I complained to mgr & when meal was delivered had them box it to go. Asked for more bread...never got it. I understand beans are served with meal...not at our table. I was told by several members of my group their dinner was cold. At this point I seriously am thinking of not returning in the future. Not sure if waiter was new or overwhelmed . Our waitress came back..apologized & revised our bill to comp my meal & one other...plus discount on entire ticket. read more

We were heading from Sacramento to Lancaster and needed to eat. While driving I was Yelping and saw many steak locations, but when I saw Cattleman's I knew that was the place for a consistently good steak. I am so happy we stopped here. From the moment we walked in you knew it was going to be a great experience. The customer service is excellent! While waiting for a table we walked into the bar (which was packed) and was greeted by Harrison asking if he could get us anything while we wait. We got our drinks and then a table opened in the bar (my husbands favorite place to eat) and we sat down and within a minute Jovany and the nice young man he was training came and cleared the table quickly. Jessica was right there with menus and the most pleasant attitude. We received our bread and then ordered steaks of course. Our salad arrived and when we finished that our dinner was served. We were checked on throughout dinner, didn't have to wait for them to notice we were done, we paid and were on our way. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the lobster I got was so flavorful! All the "accessories" were fresh and fabulous too! Hopefully you can tell by my review that the customer service and food is excellent. I must say the customer service exceeds that of the Rocklin and Roseville locations by my house. Small town hospitality, you can't beat it! Came back again and still the best hospitality around! It wasn't a fluke the first time. Another great steak and lobster. This time we had Michelle as our server/waitress and boy was she fantastic! Holidays can be a stressful time of year, especially at restaurants, and she could not have handled the crowd any better. Thanks again Cattlemen's for another great dinner!! read more

I'm sad to say I left here very disappointed tonight because I usually look forward to going in. Walked in and sat immediately in the bar and a Busser came up and asked us what we wanted to drink right away. Took about ten minutes to order food. Fine. My server was probably a little busy, I know how it is as I am a server myself. As I sit there waiting I notice the other people walking in and out. Next thing I know there's two other tables (not including mine) left in the bar and one being a table that came in about 10 or so min after us. Well they get their food first and by this time I'm pretty irritated that I'm still waiting for my food. I didn't want to be that person but I got up and went and said something to the manager and then sat down and next thing I know we are getting our food. The manager comes over and says he will check our ticket time and be back. HE NEVER CAME BACK. A little while later my server comes with our bill I asked her what our ticket time was and she said it was somewhere between 30-40 min even though I think it was definitely longer. I figured since we waited so long that something would of been said from a manager or maybe we would of even got something comp'd off of our bill. But we didn't get either. Being as though the manager NEVER came and said anything to us I am very disappointed. read more

I went here on my 10th anniversary for dinner with my husband. This Cattlemen's restaurant was excellent! Food was to die for! I can see why so many customers come here. It is a tad small inside but it doesn't seem to bother me nor anyone else. Service was fantastic the food was delicious along with their alcohol beverages. I've been to Cattlemen's in Roseville, CA. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch there but there food was not good. Here in Selma. Yes, very very good. If you haven't been. Try it you'd like it. read more

Worst experience ever. We got there and almost immediately felt Unwelcomed Plates were dirty. Took them almost 45 minutes to take our order. Was lied too. Majority of the orders was wrong. Was Compensated for the bill and was told they would make the steaks over and we can take them to go. When we got home to eat our dinner we noticed no sides came with the meal only the steaks were done over when I called I spoke to the manager Mariah and she stated " I told you we would make the steaks again because you ate all of your side." Our sides were barely touched and almost immediately when we noticed the food was wrong we informed you the manager and they took the plates away. The manager said that was correct and sorry for the misunderstanding and she thought we just wanted to eat steaks. I have never ever heard of someone just making over one part of your meal if your willing to remake food remake all of it. Was told the manager Miranda would call in the morning don't know if the incident was even reported. read more

Service is always great! Food is so good all the time and the few times I got a bad steak they made me a new one.

Lots of food, great steak and the bread was delicious. Pricey but that is to be expected with steak dinners.

If you want to know what it feels like to be a neglected child come here for service. Our waiter went on break right after we placed our order. The food took close to an hour to come out and when we got it the food was cold. The soup I ordered was too salty to eat. Went there for my first time Friday July 16 2021. It will be my last! Food was horrible not just mine everyone at my table food was bad. Only thing good was the salad. Steak had way to much fat, beans we're bland. I could go on and on but I will leave it at that. read more

We've been coming to this location for years now. In the past couple of years they've really went downhill. I ordered the 9oz prime rib as usual. Salad came and it was fine. Food came out not long after. I ordered the prime rib medium, what I got was a very over cooked piece of meat. It resembled beef jerky. The color was a nice grey. It was the toughest prime rib I've ever had. My husband had ordered the filet medium, he got rare. Maybe they just don't care anymore because they have so many customers, I for one won't be returning. For the price I have plenty of other options that know how to cook prime rib. read more

We had a party of 4 people for Mother's Day. 2 of us ordered the triple threat. Medium well and 1 extra well. Our meat came had blood red. They told us 3-5 mins to fix it. Instead it took 24 mins. When we complained we were told sorry it's busy. Well the table had finished their meal by the time we got ours. So instead the 2 of us just packed our meals up to go. What a rotten experience for Mother's Day. Then when the bill came we were charged for an extra meal we didn't order. We are usual customers that now will never return. My rating has nothing to do with the food, foods great the servers are lovely. My rating is for the experience I had trying to make a reservation, I was trying to find out if we can have a more private room for the amount of people we are having for the party. Because of the size we were directed to contact the banquet manager. First of I call the banquet manager Michelle many times through out the week with no call back, finally she called me back. right off the bat Michelle was very rude would not let me speak or finish my sentence. At one point I had to tell her to please let me speak (which she did not like) which is so rude as banquet planner you would think she would wanna her what you have to say. Michelle is clearly just a rude disrespectful person who doesn't want to answer the questions of the customer which is her job. Just call the restaurant for better serves the host are very lovely! read more

Used to be great. Granted they may have just opened. Our waiter never really volunteered anything. Had to ask for more bread, to clear dishes off table. Asked for more soda took forever to bring it. Ok. The food. Ordered prime rib, porterhouse 2 lb, filet mignon, Joes special I wish I would have taken a pic. When it came a white plate with the meat and a potatoe on it. That's it. No veggies. Very unappealing The filet was well done. Had to send it back. Everything was too salty. We had one drink and some sodas two orders of calimari (not good) and the bacon wrapped shrimp meal was $200.
