First time here, and I can definitely see why this place gets recommended so often! First of all, let me say this: the service was 10/10. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, helpful, and attentive throughout our entire visit. She helped us decide between dishes and made sure we had everything we needed. I had been recommended this restaurant over and over again, and I finally decided to stop by. One piece of advice for anyone who doesn't like much pink in their steak: be sure to specify exactly how you want it cooked. I ordered mine medium well, but it came out closer to medium with quite a bit of pink. My sister-in-law ordered hers medium, and it was served more like medium rare. He liked the beans but there was some spice in there that I didn't really care for. We celebrated a friend's Birthday recently on a Friday evening. I made reservations online which was super convenient. We were seated quickly. Our server was attentive and accomodating. After being seated we ordered a few drinks. When asking about the happy hour specials there was a clear misunderstanding. It is advertised as a happy hour however it doesn't apply if your eating and spending money in the dining room area...I suppose? Happy hour prices seem to be only valid in the bar area I guess. So- I ordered the jalapeno margarita and my husband ordered a Moscow Mule. My margarita was gross. I did not enjoy it but I finished it bc it was 13$. I did not taste any tequila only jalapeno juice. My husbands MM was weak also , he said he couldn't taste any vodka in it at all. We ordered the meal for 2, I think it 85$ and a great deal. It comes w/ a nice selection of apps, 2 entrees and a dessert to share. We picked the tumbleweed onions for an appetizer and were pretty disappointed-they were oily, semi warm and difficult to eat. We tasted our friends artichoke dip and chips and were also disappointed with that. The chips were stale. For my entree I ordered the NY strip and it was delicious. The salad, bread, beans and loaded potato, were all very good. The ranch tasted home made. My husband got the steak and shrimp scampi and really liked it. The shrimp were big and the garlic sauce was good. His steak was also delicious. We got the brownie sundae to share for dessert and it didnt seem like very much brownie but was overall good. We regularly drive from Fresno, usually in groups of five or more, because we knew we could count on a great meal and an enjoyable experience. I'm not sure what's changed over the last 12 to 18 months, but my last three visits have all been disappointing. The menu seems to have fewer options than it used to, and the food quality has noticeably declined. On my most recent visit, I ordered my steak medium, but it was cooked so thoroughly that it had the texture of shoe leather. Where shall I start. Me and my wife and my granddaughter made reservations for Saturday night at 6:30. We waited until 640 to be seated, which wasn't too bad. He also brought out a big ol' salad for us to share with each of us getting a lil' gravy boat of a salad dressing of our choosing. When our entrees came out, a cute bucket o' ranch beans came with them. I love all the shareable family style elements to the meal. The hubs and I shared the Porterhouse with a baked potato with all the toppings. It was cooked medium rare so it was perfectly tender and juicy. Spent my birthday with family and friends here... the food was great. I had the grilled salmon with a side salad, artichoke dip, and some cheesecake but we got the dinner for two so the hubz got 14 oz Ribeye Steak, a baked potato and oh yeah I had some mashed potatoes! After years of driving by this place of the 99, i finally got to try this place and IM PISSED AT MY SELF FOR NOT COMING ANY SOONER. I went with a 10 Oz filet mignon and hands down its one of THE BEST steaks I've had in awhile. In my opinion, this steak out beats steaks from STK, Mastros, Flemmings, and Morton's.
