The restaurant is nice but the service is extremely slow and could be a touch nicer. There are multiple signs talking about the whole world being understaffed. Just be prepared to spend a while. The waitress was fine but clearly very busy. We had mentioned wanting to get dessert at the beginning but when we were done eating, she had just brought us our check - we were too fully anyway. I had the garden salad sandwich on farm bread. The avocado wasn't the freshest and there was only one tiny piece of tomato - this will probably be a good sandwich in peak summer. The sandwiches came with chips and salsa. The store made mango salsa is delicious. Locally made root beer in a bottle was delicious and unique. I completely understand that we arrived early, and I respect opening hours. What bothered me was how the situation was handled. A simple "We'll be open at 8" or "Sorry, we can't let anyone in until opening" would have been perfectly reasonable. Instead, the interaction felt unnecessarily cold. Even once we were inside, the employee helping us came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. It was especially disappointing because every interaction I'd had over email leading up to the event had been so thoughtful, friendly, and accommodating.
