This is a trailer parked at a parking lot in Manchester, VT. Very decorative trailer serving up…read moresome very authentic Jamaican food. Our favorite was the oxtail meal. It was tender and fell off the bone. Then, the jerk chicken, those were some of the best jerk chicken I have ever had. Very flavorful just enough spice! Our least favorite is the curry goat. It was gamey and too salty. Lady was very friendly. I can just go back for the jerk chicken. Will miss you when I leave VT.

But for our little family with two impatient toddlers and somewhat more adventurous palates, we soon learned to seek quick, casual, and delicious. And Jamerican offered that. Unfortunately, on the evening we wanted to try it out, it poured, so we returned for lunch the next day. We ordered the jerk chicken meal and the ackee and saltfish meal--which were simply amazing. So flavorful and generously proportioned. The jerk chicken was incredibly tender inside yet crispy on the outside. The seafood was scrumptious as well. The very kind owner even gave our kids a side of. mac and cheese for free. The seating was very cleverly set up next to the food truck with a canopy for sun cover. This was one of the best and most unforgettable meals during our short vacation in Manchester. The food truck is next to a little brook with a trail good for hiking.

I would love to give the food truck a favorable review. But I was disappointed yesterday. For a…read morehefty $12.00 (cash only), I ordered the Thai Curry Noodle Bowl with duck. I knew I was in trouble when I saw that the warm mess was served in the kind of plastic to-go container one would be given at a deli counter for coleslaw etc. Very unappetizing-looking. The flavor was good, but the pieces of duck did not work. They seemed like rather tasteless, old leftovers, and the noodles were not Thai noodles, i.e. a rice or cellophane noodle...just a broad noodle that one would have for in fettuccine. The carrots were the best tasting item but over cooked. The entire dish felt like a way to use up leftovers. Food must have eye appeal as well as tasting good. 'My husband fared better with a fried fish sandwich for $10.00 - made with sustainable Pollock. It smelled fishy to me, but he enjoyed it. While he would eat there again (very pleasant to carry the food to the nearby picnic tables, and enjoy a picnic on a nice day by the excellent Dorset Farmers market), I do not think I would venture another try.I wish I had ordered from Pan American instead. Who knows, maybe other dishes are far better.

I'm giving Mio's pizza only two stars. For the price it should be amazing and was mediocre. The…read moredough was uncooked and the sliced onions had not been peeled! Would not return.
