Got there around 11:30 pm on Mother's Day and they were swamped. They also had a special buffet price of $19.99 for seniors. The sign said wait to be seated but mostly when people saw an opened table they grabbed it. The employees kept the buffet well stocked. Everything was super fresh. I went to get dessert and it needed attention. I found an employee and told this and he was on it. It was restocked in 10-15 minutes. There was three teenagers walking around refilling drinks, throwing away used plates and just checking on everyone. When we go we normally see the owner but she was not there that day. This was our first trip to Catfish Cove, 5:30 pm on a Wednesday. My wife and I are senior citizens. When I was young, I probably would have liked this place. Quantity over quality. At our age, going to a buffet is on us. We know going in that one trip to the buffet is far more than we can eat. But, we like going to different places even though the meal will cost $50 + tax & tip. If you like quantity, this is the place to go. Do not take out-of-town guests to this restaurant. It might be embarrassing. Had I noticed the small, cheap styrofoam plates and plastic forks, I probably would have left. That is no way to enjoy a $60 dinner. More disappointing was the food. Except for the baked potato and cobblers, the food was close to room temperature. It almost seemed it had been there since the noon buffet. I thought the cobblers were good. I like fried shrimp even if it is prepaired out of a frozen bag. That is enough said about the food. I have plenty to say, but It is not my intention to trash the place. Like I said, when I was young I would have been ok with Catfish Cove. Quantity was my thing. I read a lot of the other reviews. Many reviews mentioned that the waitresses were exceptional and friendly. I will admit, we were only there about 20 minutes, but we never saw a waitress. I think they were understaffed. The guy taking the money at the front was also running around doing many other things between incoming customers. Maybe it was too early to be fully staffed because there were only 5 other customers in the restaurant while we were there. I worked in the corporate world. I understand the cost of employees. Overall, Catfish Cove is ok, if you understand the business profile and possible pitfalls. I am sure there are times when everything is working properly and customers are having a good time. read more

They have a small selection of food focusing mainly on fried fish and shrimp. They also have baked options and shrimp thats probably steamed as well. Also, to add, we were told that everything is homemade included the sauces, which we honestly think is awesome! Didnt get to trt the snow crab legs though as its a separate thing from thr buffet and an additional fee. They also have a decent selection of drinks and surprisingly good selection of dessert! Service isnt really much as it was a buffet but the people and the manager were all nice to us despite coming in an hr before closing--definitelt commendable! Ambiance I would say is okay and seems clean to me. Hoping to come back during actual peak hrs hopefully to experience it better and maybe by then I will see if I will keep my review the same. read more

Pretty nice buffet-only place with fried catfish and other seafood, a salad bar, vegetables, sides like rice and mashed potatoes and for a decent price (over $20 for adults and under for kids). Relatively spacious as well and since it's self-serve no real service but someone guided you to a table and handles beverages. Recommended! read more

Absolutely yes in my book! They have fried everything! The catfish was way better than most all you can eat spots. There were plenty of good sides and decent salad bar section. Desserts were a little iffy, but who cares?! Fill up on the great meats! read more

This spot has tons of AYCE options but all priced differently. AYCE crab legs was recently $60/pp but did come with refillable soda. Service fairly prompt and polite; crab was mostly good but towards end started to get nasty pieces (kind I won't buy in supermarket.) Prior to that, earlier legs were plump and delicious. Not sure if buffet was included as nobody told me. I didn't ask, so my fault. I had several baskets of legs as I can eat, so perhaps I was hitting the limit--LOL. Would return if I had a craving. Stopped in for a few to go orders. I was very impressed with the lady running the place. I was talking to her about the buffet they had out. She said feel free to try anything. That is a rare thing these days. The few things I tried were great. She recommended a jalapeño dressing/jelly that was phenomenal with the shrimp/fish. For our orders it was an order of shrimp (great), an order of fried fish and shrimp (both good), and an order of the baked Parmesan catfish (also good). If I could give zero points I would. I made a reservation for a birthday dinner for 05-17-2026. I received a confirmation email confirming my reservation (confirmation #12544634 ). We were at the restaurant a few minutes before our reservation time and the restaurant was CLOSED!!! You had even sent a confirmation email accepting my reservation.  I left a bad review on Google and will continue to leave bad reviews on every platform I can.  You ruined a celebration dinner. The people here were always on top of their game. I visited a while back, but I forgot to post about it. When I was there, the staff was fantastic: quick, respectful, and constantly checking in on my friend and me. I had a great experience, enjoyed some delicious food, and received excellent service. I also noticed the restaurant's decor, which reminded me of a family-run place. This type makes you feel like you've stepped back in time, where you're welcomed and comforted by the inviting atmosphere. I also saw the staff talking to the people who were eating there. A lot of the people I saw were elderly, and the staff made a point of speaking to them, making them feel welcome, and having pleasant conversations. I really liked that, and I think we need more places like this. read more

Well we were looking for a place to eat while staying in ok city. This was near by and wanted to try out a local catfish buffet. The restaurant wasn't that big but ample enough space for a large crowd that filed in after us. It was comfy but close to being a bit crowded as people walked by our table. The service was very attentive friendly and they kept close attention to the bar to make sure nothing ran out. They offered catfish shrimp and chicken amount many other sides. Some items were a bit dried out but any fresh was tasty. The best things I tasted was the chicken. The chicken wings and tenders were very good. I'd go back for that. The menu states fresh catfish...this is absolutely not from the USA. I am certain this is nothing more than swai. I think this place should advertise what they actually have. They charge like they have actual catfish but then they serve us swai. Look at the videos on swai...I would never purchase that in a store and do not appreciate their deception. Today I went to this establishment to eat for the first time, I was eating at another place but I was so impressed with their establishment, employees and the great meal. The price is amazing, the food well nothing but delicious to say the least, the employees were so incredibly helpful in every aspect. There used to be a catfish cove in Arkansas that had the best crab legs I've ever eaten. Every single time I went. Fat & super juicy. The AYCE food bar was great as well. Crab legs were included. Crab is my favorite food so I rarely got anything off the food bar, just eating their amazing crab. I was so excited hearing about this location & was taken here for my birthday. Now this was a few years ago (sorry forgot to leave a review then & just saw this place again when looking for lunch) but I was a bit disappointed. I have eaten a lotttt of crab legs so I know some good ones & these weren't it. Maybe a bad bunch? Maybe the cooking method? I'm not sure but they were thin/small & dried out. You know what I'm talking about! I wasn't super impressed with the food bar either. Dont get me wrong it wasn't terrible and I'd say it was better than the crab legs but I was there for the crab. The only reason I got food off it was because it was busy making wait times slower so I went for it. I would give it another chance because I'm not one of these people who leave terrible reviews that can ruin a business in a snap especially restaurants. My husband and I visited this eatery because he had heard about it from work. Catfish was really good. We came for the all you can eat crab, ehh it was alright. Dag nabbit, if I have to drive an hour and 45 minutes just to get to a crab leg buffet and I'll do it, I'll do it! And I did. I finally made it and I was kind of like "This does not going to be very good." judging from the outside on what it looked like but that's a book by it's cover because once you step in here you are greeted by a friendly host and promptly arrested. Pay first please! The price for the crab leg buffet drink included is about $52 per person and depending on your budget I think it's worth it. The bigger is pretty well-kept because not within spans of five minutes there was always somebody that I've seen replenishing the food and this was at a time where it was not even busy inside. There were two choices on this visit early June 2020, two types of Catfish ( regular and Cajun flavor), fish tacos, enchiladas, french fries, Hush Puppies, boiled shrimp, salad bar, dessert to the side by the drinks with cobblers and bread pudding. One thing I'd like to point out that it has that the other buffets don't is clam strips! When's the last time you ever had Clam strips on buffet! All of the food that I tried here were good, the ingredients for a sure good holding temperature, not room temperature and the cold items like the salad bar was definitely cold. And another thing, the air conditioner here works well, very well, I mean very very well, in fact too well. O o. Also another side note, there are two types of tartar sauces here, not that bland stuff that comes out of a bottle seemingly. One is a dill type tartar sauce the other is your caper/ pickle type. What I can tell you is that every side, dessert, Mai dish is homemade. I have diet restrictions so I stayed in my lane and had the boiled shrimp and let me tell you..... the Cajun blackened catfish is UHMAZING. Now to the desserts. The cobblers are HOMEMADE like I said, along with homemade ice cream. Come with a hungry belly and be prepared to leave with a satisfied belly. They offer a buffet, mostly fried food for you heart healthy eaters.But none the less, they offer great food at a very affordable price for all you can eat. Non-buffet options are available.
