Catch: 9.5/10 This place really is the perfect date spot, from the walk in tunnel to the aesthetic and plates. Located in the Aria near the lobby. Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9/10 The place starts by walking through a beautiful hall of greenery, floral and lights. The dinning room gives elegant chic vibe from the light up tree in the center to the cage booths with flowers on them. The Ambiance is very busy, with very different crowds. I'd highly recommend making a reservation, and I'm actually unsure if they accept walk ups without status. Service: 10/10 we had Atty as our server and he was cool and funny as can be. He knew the menu inside and out and provided good spacing for the omakase courses. Drinks Lush lemonade: 8/10 was delicious just heavy on the lemonade side. Hot green tea: 3/10 for upscale Japanese I'd hope their tea to be a bit better, but ended up a bit very bitter. The water was too hot and the leaves were scorched before my second cup. Lychee Sake: 8/10 a little floral a little sweet but overall delicious. (The even use fresh lychee for garnish not canned) OMAKASE (food): Edamame: 10/10 perfect perfect perfect...perfectly cooked, perfectly salted, perfectly tasted, and was even served at the perfect temperature. Truffle Sashimi: 9.5/10 the soy ponzu was amazing and the Hamachi was fresh and light while the tuna was nice and fatty almost chutoro or Akami Catch Roll: 9.5/10 the presentation was fun and interactive with the torch, but the taste was also absolutely amazing. It tasted like a fresh real california roll, not surimi or fake. Branzino: 9.5/10 the filet was cooked perfectly as well with the skin having the right amount of crisp without being burnt, and the whole piece also being deboned. The basmati rice was delicious with a nice citrus overflow. Cantonese Lobster: 9.5/10 this made the top of my list for largest "course" in an omakase. Sitting at 2.5lbs of lobster we finished every bite. It was so tender and flavorful. The meat itself was cooked perfectly without any game to the chew, the combination of sauces were robust and one of a kind. Garlic Mashed: 7/10 it was good and garlicky, smooth and creamy just nothing like the rest of the dishes. Broccolini: 2/10 this was understandable, with how great everything else was there had to be something. Cutting the stock was no joke, and biting into it I was almost worried I'd chip a tooth. The few pieces I tried into were almost like raw broccoli stems very firm and the grill char was overpowering. Hit me Cake: 7.5/10 the cake part was good but the dish is messy. The "hit me" comes from smashing a melted Klondike bar on top to coat the cake, but mine kind of exploded haha. The ice cream part within the cake itself was very frozen and a bit hard to break into with the spoon. The rest was good! I visited back in July 2024, and I'm finally digging these photos out of my camera roll because this meal was too good not to share. ​First off, the entrance is everything people say it is. The garden walkway is absolutely gorgeous, lush, modern, and creates such a cool vibe before you even sit down. It sets the tone for a really chic evening. ​The food was spectacular. We ordered the Truffle Sashimi (pictured), and it was hands down the highlight of the night. It comes with tuna and hamachi in a chili ponzu sauce with black truffle purée and caviar. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the truffle flavor was present but didn't overpower the delicate fish, just melt in your mouth perfection. ​We also had one of their signature rolls (pictured with the crispy topping), which had a great balance of textures. The ambience and decor of this restaurant are top notch- very cool and tons of picture opportunities. The miso cod lettuce wraps were unbelievably delicious. There's really no words that would do this place justice regarding Catch's ambiance and appearance. Already as you enter, you are in awe of all the flowers and endless potential photo ops. Inside, there are less flowers, but the lights are dim and a flowery canopy over some tables, leaving a fantasy-like atmosphere. We made the reservation for the course dinner. For appetizers, we got the hellfire roll and the catch roll. The hellfire roll has a bit of a kick to it, but was very unique with the pear on top. While the catch roll was also delicious, the pear was more unique. I recommend that more. For the entrees, we got both the New York strip and the herb roasted branzino. The New York strip was very tender and the branzino had its flavor brought out through the saltiness. The veggies that came with the branzino were more on the lighter side to help balance it out. Sides included parmesan truffle fries and Brussel sprouts. These were actually my second favorite of the night (The first being the rolls). I couldn't keep my hands off the fries, they weren't too salty and super crispy. The ending dessert was the Carnival, which were little donuts holes with raspberry and chocolate sauce. The raspberry came in a cute bottle to draw on. I feel this experience could've went a little faster. We were given a menu and then left alone for a good 20-30 minutes before someone came to take our orders. I'm not the most decisive person, but I don't take that long to figure out what I want, so I do wish it flowed a bit smoother than it did. The restaurant has a beautiful, dimly lit atmosphere--definitely a spot where you'll want to dress nicely (a polo and jeans works fine, no need to go full formal). It's a great place to bring friends or family if you're celebrating while enjoying the ARIA and casino vibes. We ordered the lobster, fish, and ribeye--served a la carte style--which was more than enough to share for our party of five. Everything was delicious, and our server was fantastic: very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations that we ended up going with. This restaurant is just so cute. Outside there's this whole green archway and a long hallway that's just adorable and totally worthy. Inside it's super hip, great layout. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Our waiter was the best I wish I couldn't remember his name. All of the food was really good, but I have to say that the salmon was the best salmon I have ever had in my life. It was so perfectly cooked. We decided to order food to-go from here last night. Joe, the bartender, was the one to take my order and can I just say that he is AMAZING! I have food allergies (which totally suck by the way) and I know that it can be a pain when I have to ask the person taking my order to confirm what ingredients are in a salad dressing. Not only did Joe ask, but he also made sure to provide red "food allergy" tickets with our order. As we waited outside the restaurant for our food, he came dashing over to let us know that one of the items contained what I'm allergic to and would I like to swap it for something else. WOW! Such great customer service. Luckily that was not my item that I ordered an it was good to know so I didn't try it. The food was delish! I had the chopped salad and it was HUGE! On his cell phone the whole time and acting like he's doing us a favor. The bar was not busy, yet we waited far too long just to be acknowledged. The bartender acted inconvenienced, moved painfully slow, and seemed far more interested in chatting with coworkers than actually doing their job. Drinks were poorly made, no sense of urgency, no attention to guests waiting, and zero hospitality. In a place that charges premium prices, basic service should be a given. This was my first time at Catch. I've walked by here many times here in the Aria, but this is the first time actually dining here. The famous hallway is pretty long and so there's always people taking pictures as you're walking through there. We sat way in the back a larger group and it was a great dining experience. We got a great mix of different types of dishes. The truffle sashimi and the hamachi crudo were excellent. What everybody was looking for was the Truffle Mushroom Spaghetti and it did not disappoint. We also shared a rib eye and that was a great variety to share amongst the table. It is fairly loud inside, so don't plan on having any big conversations if someone is not near you. Our waiter was a little bit hard to find at times, but we eventually made sure that we asked for things when he stopped The food ended up being amazing and the dessert options were really good too. We weren't expecting them to be so memorable, but they turn to be really good and we were all very pleased. The Hit Me chocolate cake was exceptional. We got the omakase all around, (it's not the best omakase) but it was pretty decent. The only thing that held this place back, and it really put the damper on this place was the drink server. Took one star off for the price and food. Entrance Decor is beautiful and perfect for special occasions. You come here for the decor and you're paying for that. Location: Inside Aria resort, near main check in desk. Reservations required. Ambience: Definitely arrive early so you can take photos along the main entrance which is like walking through a garden of flowers. There are 2 separate nooks/photo spots as well. Once inside, normal bistro vibe, velvet banquets. Food: Japanese and seafood focus. The sashimi is overpriced for portion size (4 pieces). The special rolls and cut rolls are fairly priced for the portions (5 cut pieces), but flavors are just average. Entrees: The Grilled branzino for $41 is just the fillet. Better value maybe the whole branzino for $47. The Alaska King Salmon is wild caught and nice thick piece. The Grilled Salmon is farm raised. The mushroom truffle pasta for $30 is a decent value. Sides: the truffle fries for $17 is excellent and good size. So is the asparagus side. Desserts: the Donut holes (10 pieces) are like mini beignets and come with 4 sauces (chocolate, strawberry, cream cheese and caramel) was excellent value. The strawberry "kakiguri" was tasty BUT it is not a traditional kakiguri (shaped big round ball of finely shaved ice). As you can see, shape looks nothing like that. It's a granitas. I had such an amazing dining experience at Catch inside the Aria Hotel. Everything went extremely well and I loved everything about it - from the ambiance to the food, everything was great! The entryway leading to the restaurant was breathtaking. There are a few spots for photo ops by the waiting area, which was great since there were still a 20 minutes wait for my party of 3, despite having made a reservation a week prior. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful, and so were the staff. We ordered a few appetizers, some sashimi, a few side courses, and a whole Branzino to share. That was my favorite dish and actually paired quite well with my side of Mac & Cheese. My overall experience was definitely a 9/10 because I really enjoyed my dinner and had a great time. We only saw him towards the end when he brought the bill. The atmosphere was nice because I enjoy a dim light and enjoyable music. The oysters were fresh and the condiments provided perfectly paired with each one. The MRC roll surprised me because it tasted like it had a bit of cheese in it. There was no mention of an age restriction on the MGM app or the reservation page, and we even noted in our booking that we would be bringing a child. So disappointed with the service at Catch Las Vegas. We were celebrating our dating anniversary of 15 years for the weekend in Vegas and was hoping for a special night. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and it put quite a damper on our entire evening out. Our server abandoned our table for most of the night. For a visit that lasted almost two hours, we never even had an opportunity to order a second cocktail because our server never checked on us. We sat with empty plates and empty glasses for periods of 30+ minutes at a time. I eventually went to the host stand to ask if we could leave/pay, and the manager did come over, but even after that no one apologized and we didn't see our server for another long period. Still empty drinks (first round) and food had been gone for over 30 minutes. At that point, we couldn't order the rest of our meal even though we wanted to ... we were just left sitting there. Overall, the service was way beyond disappointing... and far below what I expected. We were genuinely ready to splurge and order a lot more food and likely 3 rounds of drinks, but we were completely ignored... a $200+ bill but never got to even order entrees or a second drink..... what you see in my photos was the only food we were served for the whole night. Appetizers essentially. I should also mention I came here with a group of girlfriends in June and was spoke to very rudely and embarrassed by our server at the table. I decided to give it a second chance with my husband and I really should've known better. 2 times leaving this restaurant, feeling embarrassed, forgotten about and unsatisfied. A location just opened in my hometown in Scottsdale and I'm not sure I'm willing to give it a third chance. read more
