Javier's is definitely one of the top restaurant on the strip. Even though we had a few glitches regarding our reservation. Everything turn out fine. We were seated facing the casino. The restaurant is beautiful. We got the guacamole for an appetizer and the carte Vaquero. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the meat was tasty and lean. Cabo Acul, the filling, was full of seafood and lobster meat. Everything was delicious, and the portion size was large definitely could be shared.
Javier's is definitely one of the best restaurants in Vegas. It's awesome that it's located at Aria where we stayed for a few nights. It made it so convenient for us. Javier's serves up an incredible list of margaritas in which my favorites are the guava and tamarindo. Both cocktails were refreshing, delicious, and high quality. You can't go wrong with their complimentary basket of fresh tortilla chips and garlicky salsa. These are phenomenal and it's refillable which is a plus. My wife and I thoroughly loved their house made guac which is creamy, thick, and full of chunky pieces of avocado. It's THE best guac we've had in a long time. As far as their steak goes, I ordered their $80 prime bone-in ribeye which came with creamy refried beans and crispy potatoes. The steak was juicy but really lean; I'm used to fatty cuts with a buttery taste. My steak wasn't tough but it was pretty stiff and bland. I really liked my sister's Corte Vaquero (prime New York cut) way better! It was juicier. We ordered their trio ceviche and each type was awesome and very tasty. I loved the pulpo (octopus) the best. For dessert, we ordered their fried ice cream and it was so good. The texture and flavors were really good. The vanilla ice cream is very creamy and almost gelato-like. I'm a huge fan of this. My wife loves Javier's so much! She keeps bringing it up and so we can't wait to visit the Newport location in Sept!
This place is so good and please get the shirt and crab enchiladas. The server was really attentive and kind. Drinks are also in the top, you must try their mezcalitas which is a margarita with mezcal instead of tequila.
Beautiful atmosphere with romantic seating and a lively bar. This restaurant is located in the heart of the Aria Casino and is usually packed so reservations are highly recommend. Even the lunch crowd is heavy. Seafood is the specialty of the house so try to order at least one dish with seafood. I highly recommend the aguachile especially if you love heat, if you can't handle chili avoid this appetizer. Everything I've tried here is top notch from mole to shrimp tacos to the carnitas it's hard to miss. Chips and salsa are abundant but try an appetizer with your cocktail.
Javier's, located inside the Aria, came highly recommended by a good friend of mine--and let me just say... they absolutely knew what they were talking about. When I arrived, there was already a long line and a packed restaurant, which is usually a great sign. I'll also admit something about myself: I'm not really a "sit at the bar" person. Whether I'm dining alone or with friends, I'm almost always going to choose a booth or a table. However... I was hungry enough that the bar was going to have to do. As busy as the restaurant was, I was greeted and served almost immediately. I wish I had gotten my server's name because everyone working behind the bar was incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. Great service is appreciated anywhere, but it's even more impressive in a place like Las Vegas, where the pace never seems to slow down. Despite the constant crowd, they never made me feel rushed. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa, which is always appreciated, but I'm definitely more of a guacamole girl, so I had to order a side of guac as well. For my drink, I ordered the Guayaba. I'll preface this by saying I'm an extra super-duper lightweight when it comes to alcohol, so what I consider "strong" may be perfectly normal for someone else. I definitely had to babysit that drink, but I also have to give credit where it's due--you could tell it was made with quality liquor. It wasn't just strong for the sake of being strong; it was well-crafted and balanced. For my entrée, I ordered the lobster enchiladas, and let me just pause right there... I'm actually pretty picky about enchiladas because they're one of those dishes that not everyone gets right. So I don't order them very often. These? Absolutely off the chain. They were rich, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and honestly one of the best restaurant meals I had during my Vegas trip. At one point, I seriously considered ordering another serving to take home on the plane... and then I realized that might've been just a little extra. Of course, I couldn't stop there. I also ordered a side of rice and beans, and I genuinely need to know who made that rice because it tasted like somebody's mom was back in the kitchen making sure everybody was fed. It had that homemade comfort-food quality that you just don't come across very often. What impressed me most is that Javier's doesn't rely solely on being located in one of the busiest hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Sometimes restaurants in high-profile locations can become more about the atmosphere than the food. That is not the case here. The food absolutely lives up to the reputation. This will be a mandatory stop every time I visit Las Vegas, and I'm already looking forward to exploring some of their other locations.
I stopped here late on a Monday night and was happy to find it opened late. Although the food came out a little slow, the food was definitely delicious. Our waiter, Caesar was super friendly and helpful with the foods. The ambience was kind of chill for a Monday evening, but had a little bit of electricity considering it's located in a casino.
We came as a large party of 12 & Javier's was able to take that reservation only 3 days in advance. We ordered a wide range of menu items so everyone had a fair perspective of the food. Food overall was good. But our service was extremely slow to the point we were all full off of chips & salsa. Their salsa is to die for it was so good. However, I am giving 3 stars due service speed. Being on the strip I do not want to carry left overs & unfortunately that was the scenario for 90% of the group. I think it is slightly over priced but I would come back with a large group again. It is a very loud atmosphere; very dark inside for their ambiance.
The food was really really good. The servers were kind and helped us to pick dishes. The portions were large, and tasted amazing. The Birria was so good, I wanted to find a recipe to try at home. Service also gave us chips and salsa as an appetizer. When we went, we stayed at Aria, where it is located within. At the time, Aria gave us restaurant credit, so we used it here.

Great food and service. Staff is attentive and food comes out fast. Elevated quality compared to other Mexican restaurants but worth it. This location is also more expensive than the other javier's from what I recall. Make a reservation on open table or you will he waiting for a while. I love the carne asade. Ceviche is a shareable portion so if you are a solo diner assume that is your main.
Stopped by here for a quick night cap and ended up ordering the seafood empanadas. The food came out piping hot and fresh. The empanadas were full of meat and flavor which was very satisfying. Our bartender was very nice and gave us time to look at the menu and was patient with me while I asked questions about the items listed. This restaurant is tucked away in a casino so it may seem busy on the outside but the vibes are nice at the bar. Definitely recommend this place for delicious food and strong drinks! Definitely worth the price.
This was my first time trying Javier's for a friends birthday dinner. We had reservations at 8:30 and were sat promptly. The restaurant was clean and lightly lit with lights. The music was loud and almost overpowering. Now to the food, I tried to Cadillac Margarita and the chicken enchiladas with a side of rice and beans for an extra $7. My drink was just okay. It was nothing special nor do I feel as if it was worth the $23 I paid for it. It was almost overly sweet. Would not get it again. The enchiladas were just OKAY. nothing to rave about and for $40, I absolutely expected more. There were also gnats & small fruit flies flying around our plates. Super disappointing experience at such a fine dining establishment. I spent a total of $72 and do I think it was worth it? Definitely not! Chances are this is not somewhere I will return to dine at again.

We were on our annual back to school shopping weekend with our son and stayed at the Aria this time. Javier's was a great add to our eateries for the weekend. We had a Sunday Brunch meal before heading to the airport and were very pleased with our choices. To start, service was spot on - our water never empty and for me the best part, the delicious salsa was always topped off without ever asking! The portions were great, too much for me to finish and the flavors were great. We came in at 1145am and when we left at 1pm, the place was packed. A good stop for great eats. read more

House made Chucky salsa and chips to start hit the spot. Enchiladas with lobster . Crab pepper was so tender and juicy!!! Lots of services for all your needs amazing wood art decorations. Great place for a date or family meal read more

Yes it's crowded and yes it's noisy... but the food here is so good that I'd come again and again even with those annoyances! We had a reservation at 6 and arrived early... we didn't get seated until 6:30 because they were just crazy busy! But once we sat down the service was pretty fast. Chips and dips came in no time and our server was ready to take our order. My friends who had been here many times recommended their carnitas and guacamole- both were great. One friend who had their skirts steak said it was amazing... But my Cobo Azul was the most impressive!!! The seafood in them was tasty and firm and the sauce was perfect! Portion size was generous! The Tres leches cake (three milk cake, as my Spanish speaking friend told me) was fantastic! Four of us shared one as they gave us a huge piece! read more
Came for dinner while in town. This is a high end Mexican restaurant in the Aria and not your typical Mexican restaurant back home. We ordered drinks and chips and salsa brought to the table. Salsa very good. Nice atmosphere but little loud. Ordered seafood enchiladas for $55, chicken fajitas $40 and a taco and enchilada for $36. All the food was very good. Service was very good. Prices typical of a high end strip hotel. read more

I promised myself that I would finally try Javier's the next time I was in Vegas. I love the decor and the atmosphere because it brings out the ambiance. We started with the chips and salsa and Queso Fundido. The chips and salsa were good but the Queso Fundido was too thick and I couldn't taste the chorizo. I ordered the Trio De Enchiladas Del Mar and it was delicious. My husband had the Cabo Azul and it was good. The service was great and we were well taken care of. Overall it was a good experience and I would try it again. read more

The quality of the fish was exceptional and melts in your mouth, and really- the only reason this isn't a 4 or 5 star review is because the chicken tacos we ordered for $40 was so dry, despite it being a guisado- which should mean it's tender. Everything else was delicious! The servers were nice and the place was packed! But the tacos wasn't quite how it was advertised. read more

These are a must-try for spice enthusiasts, especially those who can handle habanero chili. Don't miss out on their mouthwatering guacamole as a side dish. An amazing appetizer is the Shrimp Empanadas! Truly, the best empanadas we've ever had. Combining this with their fresh guacamole takes this plate to the next level. BEST DRINK = BLACK MAMBA! For seafood lovers, their Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo is a must-order. It features four large king-size shrimp cooked in their flavorful garlic butter sauce. If you're feeling peckish, their Polvo Asado is an absolute delight. The chicken breast appears to have been marinated for an extended period, resulting in a tender and incredibly delicious dish. I complemented it with grilled onions and chilis, and the side of pinto beans (frijoles) was equally impressive. I also very much enjoyed their Shrimp Enchiladas! They are filled with a generous portion of shrimp and their fresh guacamole green sauce is very delicious. Not spicy but rich in flavor. Another standout dish is their Cabo Azul. This plate is a feast for the senses, featuring a Maine Lobster Enchilada, a chile stuffed with shrimp and crab, and a shrimp taco. Be prepared to be hungry after indulging in this culinary masterpiece. For dessert, indulge in their renowned Pastel De Guayaba (Guayaba Cheesecake). WOW! Having never heard of this restaurant until recently, I was skeptical as I thought Amaya (also in Vegas) was the best Mexican food I had ever tasted. Turns out Amaya has some competition! Javier's and Amaya are tied, in my opinion, as so e of the best Mexican food out there. Yes, I am aware these restaurants are not considered "authentic" Mexican but I do not care as I do not find authentic Mexican food all that great. Javier's and Amaya are what I would call modern, upscale Mexican cuisine. Here's what to expect: high quality ingredients, very flavorful and the food is light, not heavy. The portions aren't small but they are nit huge either. They are a decent portion for what you pay. The ambiance and design are absolutely beautiful and the service (at least in this location) is excellent. If I had one complaint it would be the noise level. I found this location to be EXTREMELY loud. I could barely talk and hear my family members at the table. Other than that, it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to try the new Pasadena location! Note: this is considered a high-end restaurant so yes, the prices will reflect that.....plus it's located in Vegas where everything is pricey so if you are looking for an affordable, cheap Mexican food experience, this is not for you. read more
My sister and I are here on a girls' trip, and we stopped here for lunch. I ordered the enchilada de queso and taco de pollo. It came with rice and beans (pictured) and was delicious! I also sprang for the Margarita de casa, in which they did NOT skimp on the tequila! My sister's taco plate was equally delicious. By Vegas standards, the bill was about what one would expect. Our server, Eduardo, was helpful and attentive. If you're in the Aria, try Javier's! read more
This place is very cute nestled in the corner of aria hotel. It was super busy, our lunch reservation was for 130 and we were sat a little early which is great. Our server wasn't great. The free chips and dip ... whoa. They make it fresh every day and that day it was spicy lol. Very yummy but too spicy for me. I had to order everything. The shrimp ceviche was yummy. I got shrimp tacos too and total winner. Food def did NOT lack flavor read more

This was our second time to Javier's. As always, service was superb. Eduardo did a fantastic job. There was an issue with one dish and they offered to replace it. Since we had had a good amount of food, we declined and said that it was not a big deal. We were just critiquing the cook of the meat. Staff did the generous thing. I highly recommend this venue for innovative Mexican cuisine with fresh ingredients. read more
The restaurant has a great vibe with Mexican music. It's dimly lit and has an upscale feel. The service is on point and you never have a glass empty without offer of another drink and water is constantly filled. The food is elevated and prepared perfectly. The garlic prawns were delicate and tender in an amazing butter and garlic sauce that was worthy of dragging a tortilla or two through just to get it all. It is ala carte so you need to order rice and tortillas on the side. I didn't need to as I shared with my wife as she ordered the steak fajitas that came with beans and tortillas. Next time would order some rice as well. It does come with a price tag that I felt a side of rice should have been included. We were able to save a small space for dessert and ordered the flan. It's definitely one of the best flan I have ever had. It was different as it was much denser than I have had before. It was so good I know I will definitely order again! They also included a lil ice cream with the flan for birthday celebration. This is my only complaint and why I gave four stars and not five. I had ordered a Diet Coke it was served in a small glass bottle. When I was asked if I would like another I said yes please, it was not mentioned to me that it would be an additional charge (other location has same small glass bottle and no charge was added) I guess I should have asked but at $9.00 I didn't expect to be charged another $9.00. I don't think it should be asked if you would like another without knowledge of additional charge. Now I know. Oh almost forgot my wife said the margaritas are some of the best she has ever had. Said the tequila is smooth and the flavors were well balanced. read more

Came here to celebrate my friend's bday. The place is beautiful....it is also pretty loud so if you're looking for a quiet/romantic place to take your date where you could talk probably not the place to go based on noise level. We ordered the enchiladas Del Mar (delicious), mole ( was good), relleno de picadillo (delicious) and tacos de camaron$38 (disappointed) when the tacos arrived it was literally 3 tacos no rice or beans came with it which for the price I think it should be included. The rest of the food was filling. I also ordered a tamarindo (tamarind) margarita which had a kick if you know what I mean lol! So I recommended trying them! For bdays they do give the bday person a tiny scoop of ice cream on the house. read more
Make sure to make a reservation as it is ALWAYS busy here, especially on weekends. You can taste the quality in the food, price is very inflated but thats expected being inside a casino located on the strip. Order the shrimp tacos. read more

Great service, friendly staff, and delicious food! I ordered the Cabo Azul plate and it was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, especially the crab enchilada and the crab & shrimp chile relleno. I also tried the guava margarita, but unfortunately it was a bit too sweet for my taste and the tequila flavor was completely overpowered. The atmosphere was lively, dark, and energetic, which made for a fun family dinner spot. Overall, we had a great experience and I'll definitely be returning! read more

Javier's is still one of my favorites whenever I come to Vegas and arriving here around 3 pm without having lunch decided to order their Chopped salad with chicken in lieu of what I would normally have which is their lobster and chicken enchiladas with green verde sauce. No picture as it is shown previously on my last review. Minor comment but please bring back the flour tortilla chips as the corn ones are okay. read more

TLDR: Honestly, Javier's is so underrated. I only came to try it because a colleague recommended it, and I'm SO glad I did. From the massive basket of chips to start, to the ultimate tres leches dessert to end, this was an awesome meal that totally took me by surprise. ------ FOOD: 1) CHICKEN WITH GREEN SAUCE ENCHILADA (5/5) Fantastic enchilada with a depth of flavor. The soft tomato rice was punchy and a great accompaniment to the enchilada. 2) BEEF TACO (5/5) Great taco and beef was tender. 3) [MUST TRY] TRES LECHES CAKE (5/5) The best thing of the night. The cake was drenched in the milks and most importantly, it was very surprisingly not too sweet. The drizzle of cajeta (i.e. caramel) sauce was a great addition that added a bit more sweetness to the cake itself. 4) CHIP SERVICE (5/5) Chips were super crunchy and addicting to snack on before my food arrived. This place is always a staple when I visit LV. I generally stick with the basics - tacos, enchiladas, etc. This time I decided to branch out and try something new as I was not feeling Mexican although all of my friends wanted it. I decided to get the scallops. They were probably some of the worst scallops I had in my life. For almost $60. They were SUPER salty and tasted like they were sauteed with fishtank water. The creamy sauce didn't compliment them either. Live and learn, I suppose. I didn't even eat but one of them b/c I could not stand them. My friend tried it as well and said they were pretty gross. Tamarindo Margarita I love tamarindo so I wanted to try something different it was ok, but next time will stick with the Javier's margarita which is always good. Sometimes u have to venture out. Don't regret trying it. Rate 4 Chips and salsa Chips crisp and salsa full of flavor and has some kick. I normally don't get excited about salsa because at most places it is good or bad but this is top shelf. Rate 5 Guac Good but on the bland side, needs something to spice it up. Not really. I don't believe they have high chairs.
Can you use MGM Rewards to settle your bill? When charging to your room can MGM Food/Beverage credit be used?
Majority of the time you would have a food and beverage credit. If you charge to your room then the credit will apply at the end of your stay. If you charge more then your credit, then they will charge your credit card
Can the kitchen accommodate gluten free (celiac)?
Yes, they should be able to! There are a fair amount of GF items on the menu; just make a note with your server.
Does Javier's have a decent wine list?
Decent, but not phenomenal. It's a bit hard to pair wines with their Cali-Mex menu.
Is it easy to get a table without a reservation?
No. It's impossible. Bar and lounge are first come first serve but a table requires a reservation.
Is this restaurant kid friendly?
They definitely allow children, but it was more of an adult vibe, with loud, thumping music and large parties. Kids noises would definitely be drown out there. Seems to cater more to adults.
Does this place have high chairs for kids?
Not that I've seen, and I don't think it is a good environment for kid diners.
Is the guacamole made table side?
No, it was brought out to our table already-made, in a cast iron-looking dish.
Are reservations required?
Nope! But I recommend them on weekend evenings as it gets really busy. They have a decent sized bar area + high tops that are first come first serve as well.
What time is happy hour?

What is the dress code?
There really isn't a dress code, but at night most are in business attire or dressier clothes. I have been several times and have gone dressy or jeans and a nice top. During the day I've gone completely casual.
