Mizumi is one of my favorite restaurants and I go here (whether alone or with friends) most times when I stay at the Wynn / Encore. It is pricey for what the food is, but the atmosphere / views outside are spectacular. The first time I went here was with a couple friends and we ordered a bit of everything from various sections of the menu. We loved the raw items. So tasty and flavorful, especially their various contemporary sashimi. Their green chili yellowtail carpaccio had chili lime sauce, avocado purée, and crispy white konbu and yum. Their Japanese madai sashimi was Japanese snapper with salmon roe, watermelon radish, shio konbu, sesame, white shoyu lime dressing, and it was so tasty and beautiful. Their sashimi plate was gorgeous as well and the majority of the variety we received were tasty. We also had their Wagyu gyoza dumpling and spicy tuna crispy rice. Both of those were good, with the dumplings being a bit disappointing, but we preferred the raw items. We also tried their truffle creamy crab croquette and it was pretty juicy with some good flavors. We ordered some robatayaki as well, and most of those were pretty good, but not as memorable as their raw items. The next few times I went, I went by myself and sat at the bar. It was nice to sit there without a reservation. I tried their aburi sushi, both their seared salmon ad seared yellowtail. I couldn't decide between the 2 so I got both. So so good, but the salmon one was my fave. I also got their Wagyu beef and lobster roll and that was a bit disappointing.. it was just OK. The chef's choice sushi moriawase with 11 premium selections of nigiri was a great variety plate. Beautifully presented as well. Had some other rolls, but they weren't too memorable. Another time I went with a friend and the view was so amazing! We were celebrating our Vegas friendship anniversary, and our first server got note of that, but somehow our server was switched and then nothing LOL. Food was good though. We got their F1 Wagyu stiploin and that steak was tasty and tender. The potato was so beautiful and delicious. We also got a roll with scallops and it was wrapped in green soy paper. Tasted and looked very... healthy. We got their oysters and their chutoro sashimi with caviar... so delicious and def spent too much money on that hahaha. Their Chawanmushi was tasty too. We loved our view and watching a hummingbird and a lot of koi. For dessert, we tried a black sesame one and that was really good. Nice presentation too. I forgot which dessert we tried the first time, but I remembered really enjoying the black sesame. Words cannot begin to describe the phenomenal experience I had here. I'm staying at the Wynn, and I noticed this spot when I was walking to my room coincidentally. Got a reservation and got promptly seated at the sushi bar. Immediately upon walking in you'll see a waterfall which I found to relaxing and a great introduction of what this establishment offers: elegance. I started out with some otoro, chutoro, and yellowtail sashimi. Immediately you can tell the freshness of the fish and the taste reflects that. They receive fresh fish everyday except on Sundays. My sushi chef, Gerard, then gave me some of his personal recommendations: Hon Maguro Zukushi maki, Baked King Crab maki, and Japanese Madai sashimi. I'm partial to tuna so the maguro was my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of those options. They have plenty of tempura/cooked options for those not raw sushi lovers as well. The service here is top notch which I do except with the price point. However, Gerard went above and beyond with his service. He went step by step with everything and was super down to earth. It's very rare to have a genuine conversation with anyone let alone a 2 hour conversation with a sushi chef. Ended my meal with warm chocolate fondant which comes with matcha ice cream. Very refreshing and decadent end to my meal. One of the best meals I've ever had, and I'll be back in a heartbeat. read more

I come here all the time when we stay at the Wynn, and I don't know what it was about our most recent visit, but that was probably the BEST food I have had. Man, everything just melts in your mouth, so perfectly flavored, pace of the food coming out was excellent, attentive and kind staff, GORGEOUS view of the iconic waterfall. One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Vegas. Always a delicious meal and impeccable service. One item that is not to be missed is the grilled king crab & cucumber salad. I wish they would make this as an entree. I always order the mixed green salad - it's huge so you can share with the table. I usually order nigiri so no other suggestions besides the Japanese Madai sashimi which was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Someone ordered the A5 wagyu fried rice which I would never had considered and it was also a winner. You can never go wrong at Mizumi. Mizumi is officially--hands down--one of my new favorite spots in Vegas. I've been helping plan my bestie's bachelorette, and I'm SO happy that we picked this for our final group dinner. I'll be honest: I was a little stressed at first. When I booked a month out, the staff mentioned they couldn't guarantee seating for all 12 of us together. They said they'd try their best to keep us close, but I definitely had some "party planning anxiety" about us being split up! Huge shoutout to Taylor, though--one of the hosts who reassured me they usually make it work. Fast forward to dinner: they gave us THE best surprise ever. We got a private room with a table that fit all of us perfectly! It totally elevated the night and let us actually hear each other talk without the main dining room noise. The food? DELICIOUS. Everything was so thoughtfully executed and the presentation on the china was stunning. I'm still thinking about the Inaniwa Udon Noodle Soup and the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna--I'd order them again in a heartbeat. The whole restaurant vibe is just high-end yet so welcoming. 5 stars!! One of the best dinners I've ever had. My boyfriend and I came to Mizumi to celebrate our anniversary, and the restaurant truly made the night unforgettable. We started with the Matcha Martini, which was delicious. I usually don't eat much fish, but the presentation was so beautiful that I had to try it. The Snapper Sashimi was absolutely stunning. The taste matched the presentation, and every bite was something I savored. One of the highlights of the night was when Chef Kevin brought out what I believe was a Crispy Sea Bass (not on the menu). It was AMAZING -- we finished the entire plate and wished there was more. Overall, my boyfriend loved all the sushi/sashimi and said it just melts in your mouth. The Beef Tenderloin and Chilean Sea Bass were also favorites, but the star of the night was definitely the Japanese F1 Wagyu Striploin. All of the components were paired beautifully with the wagyu. I remember when I first landed in Vegas, & I was raving to my cousin about all of the University of Tuscan Highlands adventures. She laughed, "it will slow down!" 4 years ago to today she was right. Now after 18 addresses I can't imagine living anywhere else. If you're bored in Vegas the problem is the person in the mirror. On any given night any assortment of random adventures can happen, you just have to follow the white rabbit. After a week of PR maxing with both Claude & inside the Iron Church I needed a self date. I eat my feelings. I selected Pisces, I ended up destroying Mizumi ( @mizumi.wynnlv ).    I posted up at the Pisces bar, ordered a sparkling water, I'm too bougie for steel, and started strategizing what to devour. The couple next to me from Nashville started a discussion with the bartender about their plans for Nobu. I had to intervene, "...that place sucks! In fact all the versions of Nobu in Vegas are terrible." They laughed, then retorted "...how about the one in Manhattan?" I passed back "...I lived there, went to it a few times, that one's incredible." The bartender inquired about Mizumi. "It's on my list I exclaimed!" "Do you want to join us?" they shouted! "I'm game!". A friendly gesture to help them avoid wasting money on a 5/10 landed us all at the best sushi experience I've had in Vegas so far.     Everything about this spot was dialed in, from the best Japanese Uni I've had in the U.S. outside my time Hakodate, to the meticulously designed serene koi fish filled pond outside, to the extremely knowledgeable and attentive staff, all of it. My new friend looks at me and goes, my wife will not eat as much as us, order it all. Not knowing me, I asked if he was sure, twice. At the end, he laughed, "...that's the first time I've left a feast this full!" My friends know the drill, we need to hang out again I said.     My only complaint about this spot, my stomach wasn't big enough to eat more. Celebrated a birthday at Mizumi and had a fantastic experience! Started off with their splendid matcha cocktail (the White Jewel), which set the tone for a great night. We did teppanyaki, and our chef, Joselito, truly made the evening special. He was engaging, incredibly skilled, and made the whole meal so much fun--we'll definitely be requesting his station next time! A few tips for teppanyaki diners: Be on time: Teppanyaki is communal seating, so arriving late means holding up the entire grill (and getting plenty of side-eyes!). Portion size & sharing rules: Two people can comfortably share one teppanyaki order since it's a ton of food. We ordered edamame, red snapper carpaccio, seared salmon, bluefin tuna roll and Ahi roll. The tuna was extremely fresh probably one of the freshest I've had. The seared salmon wasn't that good and the carpaccio was missing something.... Either it was the oil or sauce or the fish combo was just not there. Beautiful presentation though! Even the workers were just so sweet and made it such a fun experience for us! To start off, you can tell how high quality and fresh their fish is. It's a must to try their carpaccio, yellowtail tartare and their spicy tuna crispy rice. Those were my fave bites of the night! I just love the use of different textures and flavors and how everything works harmoniously. The A5 wagyu fried rice was also a show stopper. The meat was so soft and buttery. The rice and veggies were also good to balance out the richness! ALMOST every food item we ordered came out perfectly! Besides the edamame. We have come back for an early dinner after some shopping at Wynn. Last visit was before pandemic before a show. So it's been a minute! Sister and her husband's favorite Japanese restaurant is this one too! This is the most beautiful Japanese restaurant in Vegas. Our spacious window table had amazing views of the courtyard and waterfall. To be honest I wasn't too excited to eat here cause I have stopped eating raw fish. But they all like this place so I just tagged along. The sushi we have tried was seriously the best. They were so fresh and they prepared them with extra care for sister's gluten sensitivities. We ordered our favorite sushi a few orders each. Best was Wagyu beef sushi with caviar, it's a must try! Uni chawanmushi is another great dish to try. I really liked the buckwheat noodles. The sake we had was good enough. We aren't into very expensive sake cause sake is sake! The service was still one of the best at any restaurants in Vegas. Absurdly over priced for tiny portions and mediocre food. If I could give zero stars I would. I got the Yellowtail Miso Shoyu Zuke Roll, veggie tempura and tenderloin yakitori. The yellow tail roll was so bland. The veggie tempura was only a couple pieces, dipping sauce was basic and the tenderloin was one skewer of the smallest pieces of meat, laughable. For 25$ My partner got a crab hand roll which looked like it was all soy paper with not a lot in it for $31. Save you money and go to Tekka Bar for amazing hand rolls. If you want sushi rolls go to sushisamba. We left hungry and werent about to spend more money on their lame food. read more

I've been to Mizumi countless times hands down one of the best sushi spots in Las Vegas. This was my first time trying the teppanyaki, and I didn't even know this room existed. We came in on a Friday night and it was surprisingly not as packed as it usually is. The service, as always, was top tier. The teppanyaki experience is omakase-style, starting with an appetizer course that includes yellowtail sashimi, kisu tempura, and grilled shrimp. You then choose from various entrées, plus your pick of garlic fried rice or yakisoba noodles. Dessert is a hojicha cheesecake served with fresh fruit. The appetizers were simple but packed with incredible flavor. I ordered the seafood trio and added lobster everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I went with the garlic fried rice, and we also ordered the noodles for the table... major hit. And for someone who's not a dessert girl, the cheesecake was devoured in seconds. The balance of sweetness with the fresh fruit was spot on. Don't skip the house-made chili paste or hot sauce spicy, but it doesn't overpower the food. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas, the food is delicious, the ambience is extraordinary, and the service matches both. Located inside the Wynn Hotel near the check-in area and atrium, Mizumi is easy to find, and the whole dining experience is what truly sets it apart from the hundreds of Japanese options across the city. On this visit, we shared the yellowtail miso shoyu zuke roll, the shrimp tempura and spicy tuna roll, and the jumbo shrimp with lemon and la-yu chili oil (which wasn't really spicy). The two standouts of the night were the braised Wagyu short ribs with Okinawan black sugar and sudachi kabocha and the yuzu soufflé with passion fruit custard and coconut ice cream, beautifully presented. The bill came to about $150, not including alcoholic beverages, well worth it for the quality and the experience. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance and asking for a table near the waterfall, or outside if you prefer the open air (though it can get quite windy). You can also request a Teppanyaki table if you'd like a more interactive meal. read more

The restaurant is tucked along the pathway toward Club Intrigue, and we had a 5:30 pm reservation for the teppanyaki menu. The teppanyaki menu is a pre‑fixe experience, and the table is communal, which actually made the evening more fun. We got to chat with a few people visiting from out of town, and it added a nice social element to the meal. Our appetizers came in a three‑compartment dish featuring yellowtail sashimi, kisu tempura, and grilled shrimp with shishito peppers. Each bite was beautifully prepared and a great start to the night. For entrées, we ordered the seafood trio and the Japanese F1 Wagyu sirloin, along with garlic fried rice. Everything was cooked right in front of us, and our chef was both skilled and entertaining -- definitely an elevated, luxury teppanyaki experience. This is not your typical Benihana; it's refined, theatrical, and thoughtfully paced. Our server was also very attentive throughout the evening, making sure we had everything we needed. For dessert, we had the Hojicha cheesecake, which was a lovely, not‑too‑sweet finish. I also ordered zero‑proof cocktails and went with the Koko -- so refreshing that I ended up having two rounds. Overall great experience. But was very disappointed on the crispy rice spicy tuna dish. I expected the crispy rice to be warm, as if it was just fried and out of the fryer right before serving. But it was cold and seemed like it was pre-fried. If the owner is reading this, I recommend making the crispy rice warm, so as I am biting into it, the warm temp and crunchy texture of the crispy rice contrasts with the cooling and velvety sensation of the spicy tuna. Outstanding drink service: our matcha and water was kept full -- hot water with lemon for my elderly parents, beautifully dressed Sakura cocktail, hot toddies made upon request, organic Pinot Noir. Sushi was truly outstanding, per usual, with high notes for scallops and Ikura. Udon noodles cannot be beat -- try the udon: we ordered three for the table to share bc we know how good it is. Shrimp tempura that comes with is very tender and tasty. Wagyu slices and wagyu fried rice was eaten before photos could be taken. Exceptionally tender for elders to chew easily. Skewered shishito peppers, tender short ribs, sea bass, and chicken -- would do those all over again. Desserts were worthy of the extra fullness. Fabulous teppanyaki experience at the Wynn hotel with views of the waterfall. It is a preset menu that includes miso soup, an appetizer tray, choice of meat/seafood, fried rice vs noodles, sautéed vegetables, and cheesecake for dessert. The service was impeccable and incredibly professional (especially considering there were quite a few drunk guests that had to be managed). José (the chef) had a great personality and did a great job; as well as our server. I would recommend doing the steak and seafood courses over the chicken. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because this meal was perfection. First off, Harrison was an exceptional server. He gave us great recommendations and was super friendly and attentive. The ambiance here is so relaxing and they did such a nice job with the decor. The view of the waterfall is so tranquil and the booth we sat in was so spacious and comfy for our group of 7. That goes a long way in my book. Now for the drinks and food. Everything was INCREDIBLE. We had a variety of cocktails and some of the favorites at the table were the lychee martini and Wabi Sabi Old Fashioned. All of the food was AMAZING. The fish was all so fresh and perfectly prepared. I can't remember the names of everything we ordered, but took pictures of everything. The Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna was the best I've ever had. The Wagyu Gyoza Dumplings were so delicate and packed with flavor. We ordered several of the king crab rolls because they were a table favorite. The Scallop Tataki and Crispy Shrimp & Shrimp Tempura and Spicy Tuna rolls were both delicious as was the A5 Wagyu Nigiri sushi.
