Place is cute a lot of things to do for kids. Unfortunately the staff is not friendly at all, when you walk in they wont even smile, it's as if you are doing them a favor by being there. You are working at a children's establishment have a smile on your face, be courteous especially if one is being courteous to you. I will not be going back to this place for that reason. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and we wanted to celebrate my son's birthday. The staff was nice and helpful for our first visit. It was such a bonus to be able to order pizza there and drinks. Let me start with how everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion . But this place should not be at 3 stars . It's a 5 star facility. Yes they charge adults as well as children. However this place is packed with fun . My daughter loves coming here ! In fact we had her 2nd Birthday party and all ages came ! From 18 month olds to 10 year olds ! They all had fun ! Even the adults ! From dimming the light , bubbles everywhere to throwing the balls on the screen ! Slides , swings even tv screens where kids can color, puzzles etc. The bathroom is clean . And if you came in where it was smelly . It's not the facility . Might've been the amount of kids and people there . I mean seriously ? How can they control that ? The place is 5 star . But even more amazing is the STAFF ! The day of my daughters party they over did themselves ! So kind, so patient and their charisma is exceedingly delightful!! I learned about this place from a coworker and brought my daughter this weekend she had such a blast, and so did i! WEAR SOCKS! I had to buy socks cus both of us didn't have any on, they are cute socks though! I would have my second birthday party here :) You can bring food from outside, they have good music, pop music mixed to be child appropriate :) the patrons are all polite.m and the workers are friendly enough. Some look bored. Not that it matters because Again, we both had a great time ! We were there for 2 hours, which is plenty of time for a 18 month old. Took my niece here for a bday party and I agree with the other reviews seriously understaffed. You can not let your child out of your sight especially when it's crazy busy your child can easily get lost. I was on edge the whole time especially when they shut the lights off my niece was screaming because she couldn't find her way out of one of the tunnels. Don't get me started on the waiver after waiting on a long line they tell you to go back and sign the damn thing. I got the worst headache from this place I certainly wouldn't bring my niece back here and wouldn't recommend it. read more

This place is the biggest rip off! Came here for a birthday party - it was supposed to be 3-5. My friend booked the party with a manager, paid a lot of money for the package, even extra so the adults could eat pizza. She was told by the manager that she would have a party room, the adults could hang out there, and keep all of our stuff there. The reality was the place was packed to the brim with bodies. The place felt like it was 100 degrees. There actually WAS no room so we had to leave all of our belongings in tiny cubbies in the lobby where everyone walks in and out of. They even set up a cart with a taped on piece of paper for everyone to leave the gifts on in the same lobby. No one trusted this so we carried the gifts with us. We FINALLY got the room a half hour before the party was over except they weren't done screwing up. They gave the cupcakes away to a different party. Ran out of party supplies. Ran out of plates for pizza. And Gave the wrong favors out. And their big attempt at making it right? Giving a $10 credit to the place... which the birthday girl was supposed to get anyway! This place is a scam. They tell you you'll get a room, but don't tell you it's only for the last hour. They do this so they can book out way more parties than if they gave you the room for the duration you actually pay for. So you're paying over $500 for 30 minutes in a room with pizza. The rest of the time, the bulk of your time, is spent just like anyone who paid the normal amount to get in. Not worth the money or the headache! read more

A DISASTER IN THE MAKING!!!!! It's not "what happened" versus "what COULD happen" at Catch Air in Paramus, NJ. For kids that are 3 and under, where the parents are literally next to the kids and side by side, it's fine. Lot's of fun activities. However, for slightly older kids (mine are 4 and 6), where they go all-out and play inside the giant MAZE of a jungle-gym they have, it's a nightmare. Kids easily get lost inside that thing. It's literally a kidnappers dream. My wife and I were on top of our kids as best we absolutely could and lost them TWICE inside the span of two hours. Couple this with the fact that there was NO CHECK system for checking the hand-stamp at the exit (they stamp everyone's hands at the entrance to make sure kids and parents are together - sort of like what they do at Chuck-e-Cheese). When leaving, there's a sign that says "all stamps must be checked before exiting." There was no one there; no one checking. My kids could have easily been scooped up and ushered outside and we wouldn't have known it. Can't ever go back. EVER. read more

Review is based on experience for myself, I'm sure my children would rate this 5 stars if they could. Came here for our goddaughter's birthday party, started at 3, got there by 2:30. It was crowded, it was understaffed. We realized we had to sign a waiver from standing in line to get to the desk, luckily we read that we had to sign a waiver where it's plaster on the window, there was a kiosk that you can sign the waiver which had 4 iPads attached or go online with your phone which is nice. If you happen to make it to the desk before signing the waiver, you'll have to go back to the end of the line after you find out you had to sign one in the first place. You then walk back near the entrance and place your shoes in a bin that's labeled with the birthday girl's name, with the rest of everyone else shoes from the party. First of all, my little waddler loved it there. I get it, it's a place where kids can go crazy and run around with a sugar rush. When we were there, there were older kids running up the slides, throwing balls and aiming for people's head for 10pts with the ball shooters. Lights turn off and disco party lights come on every so often. Beware for your own children's safety that some parents let their children really run wild. My 1 year old was sitting on the octopus, we were taking pictures, when a kid around 5 or 6 years old decides to jump over the tentacles and almost face dives into my kid's face. Luckily, I put my hand out to catch the kid's face and give kid's father the mean mom death stare to come get his son, this must be the reason for the waiver. While we were there for the party, staff was behind schedule which cause the eating time to be cut short. There was one person serving, which she did not wear gloves, ran out to get a pizza cutter because the pizza wasn't cut all the way through, served about 6 kids and then ran out again to return the cutter. She came back in talks to the party parents about the whole situation about time being cut short and she can't do anything about it because there's another party after theirs. I helped served the rest of the kid's pizza. Staff member runs back out to get juices, comes back, runs out again to get ice cream. Quick happy birthday song, eat your ice cream and get back out there to play because you can't stay in that room since they have to clean. We tried to speak to management about the time but they couldn't do anything about it because "corporate is in the building". Family member didn't want to make a big deal about it so she let it go. We were in the party room for no more than 20 mins. They really need more staff, in the front, party rooms, and the play areas to keep an eye out for the stampedes. You can still play even after the party is over which is nice. Definitely not booking any birthday parties anytime soon from Catch Air until they are more organized. If you go by yourself with a child $25 not so bad. It can be pricey for a family of 4, we have a 14month, 6 year old, add that up you're paying $45. We tend to take our nephew with us so $65 is a little much for 2 kids and an infant. 3&under 9.99 + adult 9.99. 4&up 19.99 + adult 4.99. read more

Went today with my 1.5 year old daughter! She had so much fun and since it was a Monday mid day, it wasn't too busy! I did have an issue with the cleanliness of the place. There were some old party materials left in corner of the climbing structure, crumbs, dirt and deflated balloons and as we climbed through the structure I did come across some dirty dusty areas. There appeared to be some dust and residue from the Ceiling tiles on a bench from something that could have fallen from the ceiling. If it wasn't for the dirt I'd give it 5 stars! There is so much to do here and we had lots of fun. The staff just really needs to clean. read more

I took my son and newborn (who thankfully slept the whole time in the car seat which was covered for privacy) yesterday (Friday) as soon as they opened at 10am. I couldn't believe the amount of people that were already there! It is a sock-only place so even parents who aren't playing with their child have to remove their shoes. The only issue I had with that was the bathroom. The floors are gross no matter what and I wasn't particularly thrilled to have my son and myself go in there but when ya gotta go ya gotta go. The place itself is awesome. Literally the best indoor play place we have been to and we have taken him to quite a few. Usually our son lasts 45-60min at these places but we were their for 1hr45min. The activities were unique and fun and stuff he's never done before. The dancing on the lighted floors while watching yourself on a big screen, trampolines, throwing balls at random stuff on the a huge projector screen, climbing up a net like thing with a bouncy lighted cushion underneath, a pirate ship with air forced ball throwing things, slides with light up games/images, a pretend fishing screen where you take a "net" to catch the fish were among the activities. My son had so much fun and asked me to take him there again which is a definite win in my book. It did get incredibly warm in there (probably because of all the people). The place also goes dark for a little while for glow in the dark play. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the socks in the bathroom thing as well as I feel it's overcrowded and a bit overwhelming as they don't cap the number of walk-ins (whereas other places you register beforehand to ensure a spot as there are only a certain amount of walk-in spots). It was $26 for my son (who is 4). Although it's almost an hour drive for us, I will definitely bring him back because he had so much fun. read more

This facility is super cool, the staff is great, and my 2 year old had a great time, BUT the security is terrible. It gets super crowded, and it's very easy to lose visibility of your child with all the nooks and crannies in this place. When we first came in they hand stamped my son and I. Long story short he got lost inside for a few minutes and I was terrified, but I felt better knowing they would check his hand at the door. While a very kind staff member helped me find him, NO ONE checked our hands or other members of the party we came in with on the way out. I wrote to corporate with no response. We went on a weekday early afternoon as everyone suggested. My daughter had fun. however, im questioning the cleanliness of this place. we all have to remove our shoes before entering the play space..then came the time to use the restroom. it was all the way in the back of the building and u have to go in with ur socks, then step out back to the play area. we were there for three hours and i never saw one staff member go around the area to check on things. the bubble machine was nice but it was too crowded for all the kids to play around and the little furnitures there was a trip hazard for the kids. read more

Catch Air is an extremely fun indoor play space for young children. It's probably ideal for kids around 18 months-5 or 6 years old; they have a few specific play areas for even younger children with soft, safe toys and small slides. I love going to Catch Air with my 2-year-old niece, especially on a day with poor weather. It's affordable and keeps her running around and having fun for hours. She absolutely LOVES going and squeals with delight. If you go with a younger child, be prepared to crawl around with them inside the bigger kid play area and try going during a less busy time so the bigger kids don't monopolize the space. As others have stated, they do charge for adults, which is understandable; after all, they do need to keep the place up and running. It's not the cleanest (What can you really expect with a place that has kids running around all day?) but it's by no means filthy. read more

Fun place for children but as a parent, I had some major issues with this place. Went on Sunday for a birthday party and the place was way overcrowded. It honestly felt dangerously overcrowded. Upon entering we were shown 2 small bins where all 50 of the party guests were supposed to put their belongings. How is this even reasonable?? Overall, they are extremely understaffed and unorganized and while children may have a blast, this place is just too overwhelming. I wouldn't even consider taking my child to play during the week, when I assume it would be less crowded. read more

Today was my first time there I went around 1 in the afternoon which for me was great there were about 6 other kids there it got a little busier from 2-3 and was busy at 4 I will be back. It was an Ok experience. The staff was great, but the amount of people there at any given time is overwhelming. Little to no security as bigger kids were running around like crazy on rides that Are specifically made for toddlers. There was plenty of supposed kids who were actually like 15 or 16 running all over the place which made my wife and I uncomfortable as there was little to no supervision of these kids. It also gets very very busy - especially on weekends where they can have up to 3 birthday parties at a time. This place was great for my 5-year-old and her friends to let out some energy and run around all day. There's so much for kids to do here - tons of slides, bounce houses, dance floor, swings/see-saws and more. There's also a place for the little ones, full of mats and toddler-friendly activities. Definitely felt like the place was safe, with a bunch of cheese mats all over the place and the activities made of the same type of material. The place is smaller than I thought (based on pictures I saw online) but definitely had enough room for all the activities and fun! They charge adults like $6.99 which I think is bogus. I'm sitting on the floor or at an uncomfortable table, why should I have to pay? You can't bring your own snacks, not even for little ones (like Puffs or pretzels) which I think is silly, but they do have Goldfish, pretzels, applesauce and kid-favorite snacks for purchase. They'll also order pizza for you if you want to have lunch or dinner there. Lots of seating for parents/caregivers, very clean bathroom facilities and a lot of fun for kids, especially ages 4-6. read more

The place is definitely colorful. My kids are 7, 5, and 1. They had a good time so that's why I rated it 2 stars. But the place doesn't look clean. The staff wasn't friendly. I had to wait for ten minutes before I was even greeted. And the two women at the register weren't busy. They were more concerned about their conversation than greet the people who are coming in. There's not a lot of seating if you decide to take a break and eat. You can sit on the floor which would be nice if there weren't so many kids running around. We had ordered a pie and we ate on the floor. Pizza was good so that's good, I guess? They need to update their play list because they played the same five songs over and over. And at some point they turn off the lights, at first I thought bc there was a light show but whatever it was, it was still hard to see. My 5 year old panicked the first time it happened, and another kid cried looking for his mom. It was already dark inside the jungle gym, turning off the lights made it even darker. read more

Long story short, kids and parent guests loved the facility, but my husband and I were extremely disappointed with the party services from beginning to end. Barely had time to enjoy the party with our daughter because my family and I were doing much of the work. This could have been a great place for my kids to play but I am so disappointed that there were no facility monitors to make sure children are not acting up. There should be a limit to number of kids allowed. There should also be notices everywhere and perhaps a verbal reminder when walking in to ensure your child follows the rules and that there is no rough play permitted or you will be asked to leave the facility immediately... and maybe even banned. Parent should also sign a document to make sure they know they are being RESPONSIBLE for their children's behavior so please watch them and don't just sit on your phone etc. There was a very rough 4yr old girl in the baby area who pushed my 13 month old to the ground and then sat on him so heavily for no reason other than she wanted to be a bully to someone. Yes he got hurt (bump on his head) and cried loudly. It just made me so angry, worked me up, ruined my experience, and honestly gave me a very bad taste in my mouth for the clientele there. Someone needs to be monitoring the rough/ misbehaving children in there so that the well behaved children can enjoy and their parents don't have to be on edge. This is the best place I think for kids. Decorated really nice with the under the water theme. There are so many different things the kids can do there and things to tire them out. Seems really clean to me. Snacks and drinks available. My kids love all the different lights and the bubble machine. It's always open to the public. It's our go to place. read more

Horrible experience. Brought my 2 year old to play. The staff apparently left a box of Lysol wipes in the play area and my daughter got hold of it and started putting it her mouth before if could get to her - that is totally unacceptable.I'm so angry and upset. When I called the staff to handover the box all they said was someone must have left by mistake but no apology. Given this and simply just how dirty this place is, we will never visit again. read more

The kicker was that they have a stamp system (almost indoorplay places do) so they check you and your childs stamp to make sure you came together, and they never checked ours. Not sure where to start this review: It was our first trip to Catch Air on Sunday, 7/24 approx. 11 am an hour into them being open. We walked in and the first things we noticed was the BEYOND HORRIBLE smell!!!!! Also you are not greeted by happy faces at all. The manager I was told her name was Justina (she was in all black and had no name tag) came over to tell us we need to create an account and then walked away. I could barely create an account because the smell was so bad!!! It stunk like dirty diapers. I asked about the smell and Justina said that it was because of Shop Rite ... then she and the other 2 young ladies behind the counter each grabbed a Lysol aerosol can and began spraying. So now we are dealing with the dirty diaper smell and on top of it Lysol. They were spraying right there in front of you so you are choking on the fumes and chemicals from the Lysol. When we went into the area with the foam balls there was garbage all over the floor ... I went to the counter to advise them that they was dirty garbage all over. The manager Justina had an attitude. I also advised them that they did not have the AC on and it was a horribly humid hot day out and the smell plus the heat was unbearable. The temperature inside this venue was horrible. The AC should have been running properly to maintain a comfortable temperature, but it was not. The place is very sticky and just grossed me out. For most adults you will be disgusted with this place but your child will absolutely love it because they can run, jump, climb and slide and be free. The part that really grosses me out is that you cannot wear shoes or be barefoot but yet one of the birthday party rooms had a mom walking all around the facility barefoot. You cannot wear shoes in the bathroom so the same dirty socks you wear in the nasty bathroom are the same socks you are wearing and tracking filth throughout the indoor playground. There were 2 young men that I saw working and they were actually working diligently and going around vacuuming the lobby and working in the party rooms. The women on the other hand looked to be hanging out together and not professional at all. The manger Justina was so miserable and if she was the one in charge then it is no wonder why this place was being run so poorly yesterday. The manager Janixy came out from some room and was beyond unprofessional ... I see why there have been so many reviews regarding her unprofessionalism. Now this is the real kicker ... there was a birthday for a girl Corrina in the corner party room ... Stephanie sprayed the LYSOL and fogged out the entire room and then shut the door behind her before the guests went into the party room. The horrible part was she sprayed LYSOL all over this little girl's birthday cake that was on the table in the party room. She then proceeded to just spray Lysol as she was walking from the party room to the front desk, spraying it on children and all. It was unbelievable! I saw lots of cameras in this place but I am confident no one is monitoring them because if they did they would see how unhygienic this establishment really is and would probably be shut down by the health department. There really should be staff that goes through the playground routinely to see if things are clean and being maintained. There were pieces of the black rope that broke and were just lying in the playground. I feel bad for parents who paid a ton of money to have a party at this place because it was so disgusting. Whoever the owner of this venue is ... should really be more mindful of the management and employees. People wouldn't mind paying more money for admission if the facility was clean and being run properly and professionally. You pay for what you get ... it's obvious these employees (particularly the girls) did not care about their job or the facility! I would not suggest that people go here until proper cleaning measures are taken and staff is trained and more professional. This place has such potential to be absolutely AMAZING but when you cut corners this is the result! read more

I went to Catch Air in Paramus the security is wonderful!! Kids can't leave doors are locked. But I was a little disappointed with the wait time to get in. I also noticed that they took away some of the ride ons. The carousel, etc. I am really upset with the wait time to get in. I went on a weekday when most kids are in school . There was 1 man at the counter checking people in. I understand you can go on line to complete the waiver which I did and I still waited a good 20 minutes before getting in. They need more help, and the system they are using as a cash register is a lap top connected to a cash drawer which is taking even more time to pay and receive change!!!!! No thought was involved in this process. Adults are standing with children who are excited to get in while we are trying to explain we have to wait our turn to pay. Then we wait again to get our hand stamped!!!! Oh and if you want to buy chips or drinks, you will wait one more time because the person at the counter is multi tasking trying stamp hands, taking payments to enter, and tending to food and drinks!!!! Really???? They make enough money to hire more help!!! No thought was given in this process. Open up more ways to enter, get more help, have a more convenient waiver system to check in. Some adults don't know how to use computers to enter information. It's time consuming !!! They wait while kids are pulling and pleading to get in to play. This is terrible!!!!! An indoor playhouse for kids. A little unorganized getting in because of the multiple parties they were having. I also think it's not right that they would charge a senior $5 to enter and just sit. They also need to get a better sound system. When the kids are called for their party, they play on a system that's muffled. I can handle loud but loud and muffled UGH. Nevertheless, the kids like it. 1 adult, 1 senior and 1 child=$36+tax. read more
