My family and I have been going to Firestone locations in New York and Connecticut for years for…read moreour auto service and tire needs. I took my car to Firestone in New Haven, CT because I was hearing a grinding noise as I drove. I had been having the problem for a while and took the car there once before, but I wasn't able to give them the proper amount of time to figure out the issue. Once I was able to afford more time, they were able to figure out that cupping of the tires was causing the problem. All 4 tires were under warranty, so they replaced them at no cost. They also did a free alignment (of course, I have a lifetime alignment with Firestone) and threw in installation and taxes for no charge! I walked away with four new high quality tires for free! And the car now drives like it's floating on air. You can't find this level of consideration, honesty, and service anywhere else. Sure, things go wrong from time to time. And it can get expensive. But I trust the technicians at Firestone are being honest with me. I appreciate the consistently high level of courtesy and professionalism from the staff at the New Haven, CT Firestone. They have earned my trust. They make sure that I have the peace of mind that my family is safe. And that's beyond valuable to me.

After driving 12 hours the previous day, I knew I needed my SUV looked at before another 12 hour day. I arrived just after 7AM, and Javi (at Tony's) was gracious enough to take a look even though their schedule was packed for that day. He determined my wheel barrings needed to be replaced, and brought me directly into the shop/under my vehicle to talk through a few issues and things I should be watching out for (knowing full well any future repairs wouldn't go to them as I'm obviously from far out of state). When the owner came in, he talked me through my options and squeezed me into his second shop to actually get the work done. He ordered the parts and offered to drive me to his other location (which was unneeded but appreciated), and they were expecting me and immediately got to work on my vehicle. The receptionist quoted me 3 hours and offered to drive me up town to kill time along their main street. I again declined but spent some time wandering up there, got a great breakfast, etc. After 2 hours she called and said she'd put an additional mechanic on my vehicle to save time and that it was ready. They even knocked off the additional cost of labor even though it still took the same (or more) man hours to actually complete it! They made further recommendations like replacing my tires (again, knowing they wouldn't benefit from it), and were very honest about what could and could not wait. Middlesex and Tony's fully took care of me, working me into their already too-full schedule, got me on the road, and I was able to finish my trip to see my family. Their honesty, workmanship, and desire to truly help people was very apparent, and I would recommend them all day long.

Also, we called multiple shops and this one was the most reasonable in cost estimates. Out of all the shops we called, John was the most helpful and sincere over the phone. Most importantly, John listened very carefully to our questions, concerns, and ideas. We told John that our car smelled like gasoline and that we needed to find and fix the possible leak. Unlike other shops, John expressed concerned about gasoline-related hazards and our safety. Also, Carlos was nice to us and helped us set an appointment. So after setting an appointment, we brought our car in the morning and met John. John treated us like family from the start. He was very friendly and honest. Right away, he looked under the hood and explained to us what the problem was. He was patient with us and described fully what our issue was and what are options were. We needed to replace the Fuel Regulator. John tried to make it cost-effective for us and gave us a reasonable price. Although they had to order the part from Bridgeport, John got it quickly and worked on our car promptly. Our car issue was resolved and we are extremely happy! For future issues, we now know where to go. We strongly recommend Mike's Auto Clinic.

But failing to give explanations, return my calls, or lock my car overnight (I walked there when I had heard nothing all day and discovered the shop closed and my car unlocked in their parking lot) and then to ask me for cash, is all to add insult to injury. Finally, after having my car towed there for the second time, as arranged the day before, but hearing nothing 24 hours later, I called and was told simply and directly that my car's repair was "not a priority" for them. I understand that this shop has been beloved in Hamden for many years, but unfortunately something or somebody there must have changed. I would never have been disrespected like this at home in Ohio and I am starting to regret moving here.

Suave Auto Detailing came to my house in Norwalk, CT and was very professional. Came with their equipment and supplies and began to work on my Nissan Murano SUV after an intense camping trip to a primitive, remote area in Northwestern Maine--and I couldn't be more impressed. After a 4-mile off-road drive through rugged dirt and rubble roads, my vehicle was caked in mud, packed with wood chips and sand, and littered with debris from firewood and wet camping gear. The interior and exterior were a complete mess. Suave Auto Detailing worked magic on my SUV. When it was completed, it looked and smelled brand new. Every inch of the vehicle--from the mud-caked wheel wells to the smallest crevice inside--was spotless. The attention to detail was incredible, and they didn't miss a thing. You'd never know this vehicle just came back from deep-woods camping. They even took care of the stubborn spots I didn't think could be cleaned! Professional, thorough, and passionate about what they do--Suave Auto Detailing truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend their services to anyone who wants top-tier detailing, especially after an adventure!
