Had an amazing time here on a layover in Atlanta last week. The hostess was a lady named Winsome who greeted me with a warm reception, cracked a joke, and was outgoing, upbeat, and made the atmosphere of the entire restaurant. Had a chicken entrée that was perfectly cooked, not over by one degree. I am not sure how good the food is here because no one ever waited on me. Several servers/waiters walked past me and never once asked if I'd like a drink or food. I expect airport restaurants to appreciate that many of us are connecting fights and don't have the luxury of a lengthy dinner experience. read more

This place hit the spot! Quick with service and the food was pretty tasty. The chicken sausage was the highlight of the meal. Very fresh and not greasy at all. I've now been here 4 times and sad to report that while the food is delicious, the bar service is pretty terrible. I would fly back to Atlanta just for the Grilled Avocado Cobb Salad with Shrimp! It was INCREDIBLE! It wasn't the typical kind...the variety of different kinds of young lettuce leaves were fresh and pretty, strips of smoked bacon were out of this world, sun dried tomato's were yummy, the seasoning on the shrimp was delicious, plenty of crumbled bits of blue cheese, hard boiled egg, fresh cherry tomato's and a half of an avocado. All dressed in an Apricot Vinaigrette. OMG, soo good! Since when does an airport restaurant make such a high end meal? Paired with an IPA, and I was in heaven. Okay, so this is an oldie but goldie review BUT I'm getting it out of my draft reviews lol. I was not overly impressed with this particular menu. I'm not sure if it's because it's inside the airport because it's very minuscule. Now, don't get me wrong, I liked Ms. Cora on Iron Chef. I actually love her culinary skills period. She is an amazing chef. However, her menu at the Atlanta airport didn't have the type of food I was looking for, or rather in the mood for that early in the day, so I chose not to order anything. Tucked in the back of terminal A, south, of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Intl Airport, Cat Cora delivers an exceptional grilled salmon over quinoa. The salmon itself is cooked a perfect medium rare, with a crispy skin and tender inside. The salmon is drizzled with a lemon vinaigrette that nicely balances the line between flavorful but not overshadowing the flavor the salmon presents. The quinoa mixed with small bits of asparagus is the perfect accoutrement to soak the lemon-mustard vinaigrette. I was pleasantly surprised to find butternut squash in the mix, as it was not in the description on the menu. The squash was slightly undercooked but I did not find it took away from the dish. The lemon on the side was also a nice surprise, the acidity paired well with the vinaigrette. As Delta's home, I am sure I will find myself enjoying seafood in Cat Cora's taproom again. I was once asked, "could you taste thoughts?" This restaurant answered that question for me and the answer is a resounding yes! Let's start with the reception; calm, comforting, it seemed almost effortless. On a busy day filled with chaos, delays, noise, and layovers, this was the bit of peace I needed. I had the grilled salmon with a lentil and asparagus mix. On the side a grilled lemon and what believe to be a garlic sauce. A fork full off lentils and asparagus; a piece of grilled salmon garnished with some of that garlic sauce; a dash of lemon. The perfect bite! It was fine. We had some time to kill during a layover in Atlanta. And we needed some snack-y foods, and perhaps and adult beverage. Cat Cora's Kitchen was convenient to our eventual gate, which is why we chose it. And it was a bit more sit-down-formal-ish than just a random fast food place. My sister and I opted to share a couple starters. The lamb meatballs and the potato chips with bleu cheese dip. For the price, I really expected two more meatballs, or for them to be a little bigger. They tasted good, they were just pretty small. The chips were good. The dip really was a standout. Very tasty. I got a glass of wine and...ya gurl was on a heckin' budget so she happily ordered the cheapest white wine on the list. It was alright. Like all things in the airport, everything was a little too pricey but beggars...choosers...etc etc etc. Service was...ok. The server seemed annoyed to be working and was a little cool. This location is across from A26 and has adult beverages so I beelined here. There is someone standing out front to greet you and seat you to a table. Nice touch versus getting in line and waiting. Traveling with my grandson and whew i forgot traveling with kids is stressful. I need a double $13.50 plus $9.50 !!! I ordered at waiters advice grey goose lorange summer a double should be lit by time plane gets here! Delta terminal is much nicer than north! I've been in the hood terminals i guess! Lol you get what you pay for. I ordered lobster Mac and cheese$15 at another yelpers advice and he got Mac and cheese. Also trying the chips with blue cheese dip( $15) and his lemonade was $3.50. . Food was just okay nothing great to sing home about. A bit expensive but so is everything at airport. They really should work on quality food was just lukewarm too! See receipt! read more

Well traveling to Atlanta airport to visit family we dined at Cat Cora's kitchen. We were served by old Joe "great personality" and he made our stay very pleasant. I had the Cat Cora IPA... With a pleasant light hoppy and fresh sweet finish I enjoyed it with my CC crab Mac n cheese. The Mac had a smooth creamy taste that didn't over power the dish. I would of liked a bit more crab. I would order it again. We also had the grilled avocado Cobb salad. Now that was a lot of salad served with the dressing "warm and delicious" in a halved avocado. Nice added touch. The mixture of lettuce, tomatoes with the feta cheese & chicken made for a great dinner. I'd order this Cobb for sure. We enjoyed our experience and hope try again in the future. Thank you read more

Airport food can be good to eat and Cat Cora proves it in their Hartsfield-Jackson Concourse A location. We had a cobb salad and a chicken sandwich; both were tasty, generous, and filling. Our server, Reese, was a jewel - always on top of what we might need, but discreetly out of our way. The best food available in Concourse A by my reckoning! read more

I was extremely pleased and impressed with this place. I'm sure airport's aren't notoriously known for glquality food, however this place speaks otherwise. The servers are extremely friendly and attentive. I enjoyed a Cora IPA on my layover flight, and the grilled cheese + spicy tomato soup was delectable. Very warm, melted cheese complimented by crunchy, well seasoned toast. The tomato soup spice was well balanced with flavor, and the combination was why these foods are meant for each other. Surprised to see the low ratings, had a quality dining experience on my way out of Atlanta. The servers accommodate your luggage, they ask about your time restraints and let you sample beer. All pluses for a quick bite during the busy holiday travel season. If you like herb-y tasting beers, try the Mango Kush draft. Not my vibe, so I went with the Pilsner draft instead. I had the eggplant dip appetizer. This is like a baba Ghanoush with less roast flavor and less garlic flavor. Cat Cora's Kitchen in Atlanta's Airport Terminal A has decent food, some items are just plain great. For example, try the Flank Steak Tacos with a fresh lime to squeeze over the top. Yummy! The restaurant has comfortable inside seating and the location is just across from gate A26. I recommend this place Bon appétit. read more

Stopped in for breakfast between flights. Service by Yaneasha was 5/5 Food Choices were limited 3/5 I opted for the American Two Eggs breakfast. I selected the chicken sausage since I was unable to order bacon not too crispy. Apparently, bacon is made in advance and batched. Coffee was decent enough but not as strong as I hoped. Toast was toast but I enjoyed the small jars of jelly. What I liked most...clean place, electrical outlets at the table. There are not many healthy choices in this terminal so I would come back for a basic breakfast on my next pass through. read more

This restaurant was packed when I came across it which must have meant the food was really good and had a good wine selection. I had to wait a little for a table but was happy I got one. The waitress was kind during my visit. I was disappointed that they were out of dishes that I wanted to try. The shrimp and grits or tacos were what I wanted to try but they were sold out so I had to settle and get something on the pricier end which was the salmon. The salmon was pretty good. The quinoa was done in a creative way with the sweet potatoes and asparagus. The sauce used really made the dish come together. I had two glasses of rosé. I was trying to wait until my dish came with the first glass but I ended up finishing my glass before my food got to me and ordered another one. I was bummed because I tried to get a cup of water to go but the other waitress I asked never came back and I had to leave for my flight. The ambiance of the restaurant was a crowded one but gave a more upscale vibe to it. I'm not going to lie, I loved seeing black chefs chefing it up in the kitchen since it was a see through kitchen. I'd come back for wine and only if the dishes I want to eat are in stock again. Last but not least, please try to fix the wobbly table (tables if there are more than mine) if you can. I recently stopped by Cat Cora's Kitchen for a to go order before my flight. This is one of the best airport restaurants I've been to in awhile for service and depth of menu. It's also one of the few I know with a woman proprietor! The restaurant specializes in American and Italian fare, and it doesn't appear to skimp on quality. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup($12). I sat at the bar while I waited. I didn't order a drink but the wine pours and cocktails ordered by those around me looked great, and like real cocktails, not that that sugary chain restaurant stuff. The grilled cheese sandwich was huge! It came on a delicious toasted bread with caramelized onions -yum! My seatmate on my flight said she was jealous. The soup was freshly made as well. At least 3 staff members checked in on my while I waited(about 10 minutes) to make sure I didn't need anything. Will definitely stop by for more next time I'm in the terminal! read more

One of the best airport restaurant's you'll run across, I can't necessarily say that about historical Cat Cora airport restaurant visits in Texas but this place is running on all cylinders in May 2021. Menus are via QR Code (so my dad would be in trouble if not traveling with me) but the bar service was amazing and the table servers seemed quite good as well (I was sitting next to the server station where I overheard a lot - I often end up in this area because seats are open and I don't mind the extra bustle at all). Cocktails were very well made including a top notch Manhattan, and the food was spot on. Lamb Meatballs were well seasoned, tasty, and cooked to a nice pink in the middle. Lobster Mac & Cheese is also a favorite of mine and it was very well done. One customer at the bar had an issue with her meal being delayed and needing to catch a flight and it appeared to be the kitchen's fault but my food was quick and perfect - the bartender took care of the affected customer as well as possible and I was extremely impressed with the level of service all around. True professionalism behind the bar, which especially in an airport bar & restaurant is not always typical. I look forward to a repeat visit on my next trip through ATL. Very well done! read more

I don't normally consider the airport when I think of fine dining or great restaurants, but this place makes one grateful for a long layovers. After a few minutes my server, Alexis W., noticed that I had not yet been served and jumped right in to take care of me. She was such a ray of sunshine on an otherwise rainy and overcast day with her beautiful smile and bright sunny demeanor. (Not too many people in the service industry smile anymore, so I appreciate it when it happens). Chalk that up t good old fashioned Southern Hospitality. After exchanging pleasantries (and mutual admiration for each other's radiant complexions... #TeamSkinCare), she answered a few questions I had about the menu and offered some helpful recommendations. I decided on the seared scallops with pepitas, orzo and basil, and a side of seasonal vegetables... which just happened to be Brussels sprouts, my favorite! My food took a little longer to arrive than I preferred. Fortunately, I was not in a rush and had ample time before I had to catch my connection. The Brussels sprouts were superb! Sauteed in butter, they surprisingly were not oily at all. They still maintained a really nice crunch and were not at all bitter. I normally prefer them tossed in olive oil and lightly charred, but these may have changed my preference. The type of peppercorns used were uncharacteristically bright with a light, almost citrusy flavor, and were a perfect flavor and texture accent to the dish. The kitchen ran out of orzo, so my scallops were served with cavatappi pasta instead. It was prepared al dente and soaked up all of the piquant sauce from the scallops. The scallops were large, plump, tender, and succulent. The sauce was simple, but it brought all of those lovely flavors and textures together beautifully. Excellent service; exquisite meal.
