Drove from the Bay Area to go here expecting them to honor the Yelp hours shown. Instead, after the whole production of getting my baby out of the car I see a paper sign on the door saying due to low staffing they are closed at 1pm, after we arrived at 1:15. Staff here are amazing and super friendly. There is an outdoor area where you can sit and hang out with your furry babies. I usually go here on a Saturday morning right before I take my pups to the beach. Parking is not too bad. They have parking in the back that has an entrance. I love Cat & Cloud Coffee! This was my first time visiting their location in Aptos and goodness was this shop adorable! It was stuffed full of merch, colorful decor and of course, their awesomely friendly staff. My friend, brother and I had just finished up our 11 mile run here and wanted something cold and refreshing. We ordered two creamy beiges and one creamy matcha (ice blended drinks). Everything tasted amazing and hit the spot. The matcha was very matcha-y and much like how these drinks are done in Japan, which I really appreciate, where you can actually taste the bright matcha flavor. I just wish they had pastries left but we did show up pretty late in the day so that was our own fault. I had also picked up a bag of beans for a friend, which they were able to grind. They also offered me a sample of the Night Shift (the beans I picked) so I knew what I was gifting. Although the beans were supposed to be course ground, it turned out to be course-medium... a bit finer than what my friend needed but it still worked out and he enjoyed it as a pour-over instead. My favorite coffee shop in Santa Cruz County by far! This location in particular is inviting, spacious, well decorated with plants/succulents, and a must have part of my beach walk routine. The staff here is amazing-- you can tell they make an effort to be efficient yet also personable which I value. I often leave happier than I arrive thanks to the great interactions here--so that says something! I've had the pleasure of trying some of their food items which are delicious but what keeps me coming back regularly is my beloved Oatmilk Iced Vanilla Latte and the kind people here! My wife and I have been here numerous times in the past so on our way to Aptos we decided to stop in again for coffee. Sadly, we decided on a mocha for each of us. To be honest, they were awful and we wound up tossing them and leaving. They were so sweet we could not finish them. Since they messed up my order once that day by making them in paper cups vs my order of ceramic cups I didn't want to go back and ask them to remake them again. We stopped by here after a trip to the beach on a weekend. There was quite a line to get to the counter but that was mainly because people were distancing. They only had 3 staff at the counter, one to take order, one making drinks and one making the toast. The line went pretty slowly as a result. I wanted to try the sweet toast and the coconut and cream chia oat porridge but they were out of both the items. I got the peanut butter chia oat porridge, a mocha and a donut instead. The chia oat porridge is really good and refreshing. My mocha was good as well. The interiors look very artisty, would be nice to come back someday and enjoy indoor dining here. read more

Grabbed 2 regular burritos, a cappuccino and a paleo mocha. The regular (non-vegan) burrito is not listed on the menu so it's questionable to start with. It takes a long time to prepare but comes out piping hot. The filling is super dry and taste like Indian samosas. You'll want to ask for extra sauce for the needed moisture and because it is the best thing about the burrito. The reviews about the sauce are true, it's great. The cappuccino was super creamy and milky.It felt like a flat white and not a cap. The paleo mocha had no hint of the cocoa side of a mocha. This drink lost it's temp extremely fast too. And at a whopping $6+ it is not worth it. The ambiance of the place looks like a Sanrio failed marketing design. Pointy cat drawings with baby blue and pink motifs. My friends and I came in around 10 on a Friday to a fairly busy shop. There was plenty of parking and the line wasn't too long. We got a drip coffee (The Answer blend), vanilla latte, and a single origin. We also purchased beans (Rwanda). There was plenty of seating and they got our drinks out fairly fast. Cat & Cloud is the type of place that any type of coffee drinker can go. We visit one of the Cat & Cloud locations whenever we are in the area and always bring beans back home for ourselves/for friends. I'd recommend checking out Cat & Cloud if you also enjoy Verve. This was hands down a 5 star experience until our barista put on the lid of my latte with her bare hands (she touched the mouth area!) before handing it over to me. I don't often start my reviews this way, but I'm hoping management sees this to address this concern, as it's a pretty worrisome offense during COVID times. Aside from that, this spot is definitely one of the more aesthetically pleasing coffee shops I've been to with super friendly customer service. If dining was open during this time, I would've loved to sit and enjoy the natural light for a bit. I'm a sucker for ordering anything I've never seen before, and it was their paleo mocha for me. I must say I did not like it at all, but I don't think it's their fault. I've never had a paleo latte before and I think I've just become too accustomed to the sugary stuff. But hey I'm glad I tried it! Now I know. My husband really loved his sugary Biege drink (I forget the exact name). Apart from the no-glove part of our experience, this spot is really fantastic. C&C is one of three top notch third wave coffee roasters in the Santa Cruz area, along with the esteemed veteran Verve & upstart newcomer 11th Hour. Of the three, only C&C has a location in Aptos, so if you are here for wine tasting at Ser or Sante Arcangeli or pizza at Mentone or BBQ down the street, this is your go-to coffee stop. Increasingly, I have been leaning towards the whole beans here over Verve, since they seem more consistent and cost slightly less. The cortado here is made well with lightly textured milk, and the service is outgoing and smooth. Too bad all the amazing interior spaces here are still off limits. I have been wanting to try Cat and Cloud for a while. I have always heard mixed reviews about it. Some people think it's too expensive for what it is. However, I beg to disagree. Cat and Cloud is a local and adorable coffee joint. Sure, you might be paying $2 more than Starbucks, but you are supporting local businesses and getting stellar food and drinks. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and an iced chai. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious, warm and savory. The chai had a spice to it. Super yummy and different. My friend got a cappuccino and she said it was very tasty, although on the smaller side. As for the service, the cashier was probably the kindest and friendliest cashier I have ever met. I didn't catch his name, but he was bubbly and happy and seriously made my day. This is the place to be if you want amazing service and great coffee all while supporting local businesses. read more

We got great service and had a great experience at Cat and Cloud Coffee. It's your typical trendy coffee shop, with lots of succulents, bare white counters and wood paneling. I'm into it. Their coffee is also your standard trendy espresso, kind of that tart flavor (which personally I don't like as much, but if that's your thing you would like this place). Right now during covid, they are only serving their avocado toast and an assortment of pastries, but no other food. The avocado toast was delightful but I wish I could've tried other things too.
