His boat was perfect, stable, safe, and allowed us to trim off at 6 inches of water to get close to the brush piles and logs for all types of fish. In 4 hours we caught Walleye, Crappie, Perch, Bluegill, Bullhead, and Rockfish. No trophy sizes, but it was a great experience for the kids to catch a lot of fish. Capt Mike was friendly, interacted well with the kids, and provided exactly the experience we were hoping for. August on the Lemonweir, no bugs, and the weather was perfect. There were a lot of trout in the pond. There is no catch and release in either of the ponds. Probably we dont even need a fishing road. Just putting a small net is enough to catch the fish. I caught 3. The store lady was nice. She cleaned it well. I just had to take home put some spice and bake/fry it. Fish tasted real good. In fact I saw others stopping by and just catching 1 fish per head and leaving. I guess they are just trying to make a tasty dinner. It was a really fun experience.

This is a great little park located at the northern end of Lodi, Wisconsin. It has a few…read morebaseball/softball diamonds, ample green space, and a pavillion and swimming pool. There is also a nice jungle gym to keep the kiddos occupied. The main attraction for me is that the park is nestled alongside Lodi Spring Creek, a fairly productive trout stream. Trout can be caught all along the length of the stream that borders the park. The park itself makes access to the enter section quite easy. If you're in Lodi and just want to enjoy a nice day out, Goeres is a nice spot to do it.

We saw SO much wildlife in the 30 hours we stayed there. Fish of all types, deer, wild turkey, toads, owls, eagles, and even a porcupine! The stars were beautfiul and the park in well maintained. Porta potties we're throughout the park and close to our sight, they were clean too. There's a little shop nearby with everything you would need from fresh bait/fishing supplies to grocery items like raw meat and butter. They also had snacks, sodas, beers and we saw a few to go orders of pizza leave too. Such a beautiful lake and amazing representation of Wisconsin wildlife. There's boat launches and kayaks launches in the park. It is also bear country so inform yourself on rules before staying!

We've gone camping at Buckhorn State park 2 times now at two different camp sites. We stayed at…read morelake side campsites both times, which are offer a lot of space, very private with complete tree coverage, and small private beach access to the lake. We drove in to the campsite, park, then have a 400 yard walk to each campsite. There is the option to boat into some of these shore line campsites as well. The only down side to camping here is the mosquitos are pretty crazy during the high mosquito season in the summer. They weren't bad in late August, but when we recently camped there in July, everyone had 20 mosquito bites. If you go during the mosquito season I highly recommend a screened in room to hang out and cook. We couldn't hang outside of the screen room longer than a few minutes before being attacked by a lot of mosquitos, no amount of bug spray helped that situation. It is recommended that you book in advance if you are a large group, as the kayaks seem to be limited. It is a very popular place, as the scenery changes dramatically. The lake its' self is rather small, but is connected to windy rivers that are lined by orange cliffs. There is a nice mixture of shaded areas, as well exposed sunny areas. There are many beaches to pull up onto, and a dam at the end of the course. The lake is very friendly for beginners and experts. Kayaks are $10 an hour or $25 for a half day. It takes about 2 hours to get to the dam and back, more if you go casually and like to stop a lot like we did!

We were looking for something to do and…read morelove boating but don't yet own our own - googled and found Schleef's - called them and the super friendly voice set us up with a half day pontoon rental later that same day! And best of all they have amazing prices, $135 for four hours which is like a hundred dollars or more less than the other options. Lake Delton was a great small lake to cruise around, throw the anchor out and swim and fish. We will definitely be back this summer to do it again with Schleef's! Very friendly, family owned service and was a great experience!! Also, their fish & bait shop across the street from the lake was great too! Excellent prices, super cheap hooks and lures, live bait, and easily walkable from the bait shop right into the pontoon to go fishing. 5 out 5 stars hands down!
