It is under new ownership, since 2014 and the new owners are remodeling and revamping the place.Some of the staff is new to camping but they are people people, so it all works out in the end. It has some of the lowest rates in the area even though the campground is 2.5 miles from Downtown Dells. The facilities are kept clean and the staff is quick to respond when an incident occurs. Love this park!…read more We've been coming to Country Roads since 2004. We've been here for a number of RV rallies and just short visits on our own. We knew the previous owners well. I don't know the current owner or if I've met them but I will say that the place is still very well run from a customer perspective. All staff we've ever encountered has represented the park well. The property is kept up well. Always mowed and nice flowers and plants well planted and cared for all over the park. We used the laundry this week there for the very first time. It was very clean, the machines all worked well and it was inexpensive in our experience ($2 per wash and $2 per dry). The laundry is behind the office and accessible from the office or from the back of the building. Tokens for the machines are sold at the office. They sell firewood, ice, food and other items at the office. There's a small check-in office as you enter the park. Once you are checked in, staff escorts you to your site. The roads in the park in concentric circles. It's very unique and it works very well. There are a lot of tall, mature trees that they keep trimmed up nicely. So most sides have some shade and some sites have a lot of shade. There are bathhouses here. I've not used the showers but I have used the restrooms. Very clean. This park allows travel trailers, 5th wheels and motor homes. I'm not sure if they have any age restrictions on units. I've seen some older (not junky) units in here, some very nice Prevost-based units and everything in between. There are seasonal RVers here but my sense it that great than 50% of the RVers here are transient. Country Roads has always advertised itself "for the big kids". This means there are rarely any children present. There is no playground here and the pool was filled in, in the early 2000's. This suits us well. There are many, many RV parks in this area and all of them cater to families and that's just fine. We've stayed at many of them when we had our kids with us. Country Roads in 5 to 10 minutes from anything in Lake Delton / Wisconsin Dells / Baraboo. A Walmart and Home Depot and more are a quarter mile away. I can recommend Country Roads to any RVer with any type of RV.

Full hook-ups at a reasonable price. Lots are long and spacious. You're close to your neighbor, but not that close. They do have horseshoes to throw and they do Farkle Friday (dice game if you don't know what that is). It's very close to the Dells, Devil's Lake State Park and Mirror Lake State Park. Lots to do in the area, especially for families. TONS of water parks (which were insanely crowded this weekend as we drove by).

I wasn't looking for anything fancy and it was only $110. One of the cheaper rooms I found for the night of Oct. 9th. When we got there I noticed how jam packed the place is and very small roads. I didn't realize there would be so much going on here, as is, so many campers and RV's. I thought it would be more spread out, not people extremely close to each other. The girl at the front desk was very nice but it turned out all of the deluxe units were being winterized and the one I was able to book online wasn't even available. Luckily they had one room left which was just a motel unit, I was told the only difference between the two is that the deluxe unit comes with a pull out sofa. Sure it saved me maybe $20 but they didn't apologize or offer anything for the error of being able to book a room that's not available. The room was better than I thought it would be, I wasn't expecting much. It was enough for what we needed as we weren't really there anyway. It was clean and each unit comes with a grill, picnic table, table & chairs, and a fire pit which is pretty awesome. Overall, I don't think I'd stay again, it seems like during the summer it would be way too busy and too much going on with how jam packed it is plus way too expensive. I would highly recommend if you go late in the season like I did, I was told this past weekend was the last one, maybe call to book a room instead of online as it may not be available but it'll still let the reservation go though.

When we tried working with the Taylor, the Office Manager, she was rude and not willing to help. We reached out to the owners, Jim and Jill Ward, but received no response. We were up the hill in a woodsy site and it was roomy, clean, and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were much better than Devil's Lake. The owners are nice and very friendly. The camp store is cute and has lots of merch. We bought merch because there were lots of options and we want to support small businesses owners.

For instance a Drunk guy and girl on a Harley at 3am. Multiple security officer visits asking if he needed anything. I appreciate the concern however If I needed something I would have called the number they provided. Really like the garbage pick up. Ice drop and fire food drop off. Bath houses were clean and within walking distance. Might consider going back but staying more on the main campground would be preferred

Definitely best way to beat the crowds and relax at a quieter campground before the hype of the school year starts up. While the sites look and feel the same as the ones at Devil's Lake, there are far fewer sites and it is much more peaceful. The sites themselves are really well kept. Our little site was still able to fit three cars in the driveway, two full tents and a sunshade.The campground features a massive field, covered family Pavillion and little playground. Really nice way to burn off some energy away from the sites if you're not hiking or sit and have lunch at one if the many picnic tables. Two grills available as well. You can't get better camping showers than I've experienced outside of Mirror Lake! They're all private entrances and have a seperate area behind a partition to put your bag/towel/clothes with a bench. Great hot water and pressure. Seperate bathroom area that is extremely well maintained too. Huge plus! While there aren't a lot of trails, the hiking isn't at all strenuous and has beautiful views of the rock formations along the way. Sturdy walking shoes still required. Personally I wouldn't swim in the water as its a little murkier, although it is so lovely to venture around. You're able to rent kayaks for the best experiences it seems so we'll be doing that next year! I highly recommend taking a break from life at Mirror Lake for camping and relaxed hiking! Can't wait to go back.

Also they have a kids' wristband thing that includes a bunch of things that are only in the lower section. Bounce pad, dunk tanks, and the popular pedal carts (not allowed up the hill). The best part that really pleased me was the fire rings. Unlike most sites where it's just a tire rim (no disk just a circle) SF uses actual truck rims that still have the disk part of the rim. This raises the ring off the ground a little and the holes in the disk allow air into the fire. Giving a much better burn with less wood. They will also deliver wood to your site. Pool was great. Nice temp. Staff was nice but not nosy. Guests were all ranges but mostly families. Showers and bathrooms were clean and useful. The only downside is the litter. Little pieces of litter everywhere. Turned us off. While we know this is a guest problem, there is a lot that the owners can do to deter it and fix it. This cost that 5th star. Caught a bunch of Pokemon here. Even a Ponyta. ha

Quiet hours are not enforced. Had a group of campers camping next to us playing games till 1 o'clock in the morning swearing super loud no enforcement. This campground has really gone downhill. I will never stay there again and I would not recommend if you're there with your kids, if you want a clean campground go somewhere else!! We left a day early because of these issues!!

My favorite aspects of the campground is that it feels like a safe and welcoming community with close access to the fun Dell's activities.
