However, despite the warranty being offered, I completed the activation form twice and never received a response. Evan and Jeff were my inspectors for my potential new place. They came and did my home and radar inspector this past week. This will be my third house I've bought in my life but by far my best home inspection experience. Both Evan and Jeff were extremely professional and thorough. They got to the location early and had started working on inspecting the roof and outdoor. Once inside they split up and ran multiple test on appliances and equipment but they still made time to check in with me throughout. They provided extremely detailed answers not just to my agent but also to me. Unfortunately in the past this hasn't happened. Either past inspectors at different companies spoke to my father or my agent. Even though I was buying the place. With Castle Inspections, Jeff and Evan made sure to check in to see if I had questions throughout the whole visit. I was already impressed with their insight onsite but then I got their report. Wow, as someone who loves details and a good visual, this was the icing on the cake. From top to bottom, corner to corner their report provided everything I would want to know and more on this property. It helped me respond to the sellers but it's also allowed me to make a game plan to address once I move in. My past experience, after you buy a place you find the small, not urgent but sometimes annoying items. It can be frustrating as you weren't expecting it. However, with this report, I know every crack, break, etc to the smallest item. To say it's impressive is an understatement. There's no one else I would recommend more than Castle Home Inspections. The inspectors are good but the management is hostile and confrontational when you ask about mistakes or misunderstanding in the reports. I'd stay far away from this company and find more professional institutions. Run don't walk to find a better company. I spoke with one of the owners today who berated me and was very violently verbal towards me when I spoke with calmness asking questions not asking for anything. The attitude and our conversation on the phone was extremely unprofessional especially when you did not listen to a woed of what i was saying. You chose to be extremely unprofessional in your service and to berate a customer and call them a liar, when I did not ask for anything minus an explanation, shows the kind of person and business that you are. I would never speak ill of your subcontractor (1099) inspectors. They were good. It is you and the way you run your business that is unfathomable. Google readers, look at my other reviews. We are very disappointed to learn how much Castle missed during the inspection of our new home. Castle provided a nice boiler plate report, but it did not mention the three dead trees on our side on the property line that cost $4,500 to cut down and remove. The garage floor that was in terrible condition that required resurfacing - $4,000. Front and back doors that will have to be replaced. Rusty garage doors - $3,600 to replace, a blacktop driveway that had a thin cap on it, undoubtedly to make it look good for the sale. That cap has already started chipping and popping off. Antique water heaters, no filtration system for the smelly well water. Would we recommend Castle to a friend? Not if we wanted to maintain the friendship. read more

Castle is thorough; but they lack specificity/prioritization in their ratings/assessments. Maybe its CYA for them/their company...see below They equate (via their "Fair" rating which says (their words) that something is functionally missing/not fully functional in your house) things like "possible roof leaks" with things like "light bulbs not working". Clearly some disparity here. I would STRONGLY recommend you take this company's recommendations with a STRONG grain of salt. My 2 cents read more

Very pleased with their knowledge and experience. Castle Home Inspections was recommended by our realtors and they came through with excellence. I don't know if it is common for them to send 2 individuals, but that made the inspection go much faster. They did a great job letting us know about the potential concerns about the house and they also let us know that overall the house seemed to be in pretty good condition. Evan was the inspector and he got to the home early to start looking around the outside of the house. When we arrived, he explained the inspection process and how he works. I liked that he was okay with us walking around with him to see what he found or we could relax and he would tell us his findings after the fact. Evan was extremely thorough and even gave us his feedback on areas that were exactly of concern but that we may want to get more information/history from the seller. We appreciated this level of detail and his recommendations. We had the inspection in the afternoon and had the results that night. Hands down Castle Home Inspections made a daunting step in the "First Time Home Buyer" process painless and informative. From the moment my wife and I arrived at the home we saw the team was already on site ready to get started. We worked with Jeff and Dan, two very detailed oriented gentlemen that combed the home strategically from outside to inside. I shadowed Jeff while on the exterior as he checked the roof and above the garage as he looked for any notable issues or changes that needed to be annotated, he also talked me through it as he inspected and even let me take a look above the garage so I could see the condition of the roof myself. Dan was also quick to walk me around the home and pointed out things to look for overtime and their importance in maintaining the home.
