Came here for Italian food and this place did not disappoint! First of all, our waitress (maybe Viola? Blonde lady) was amazing! throughout our stay, she made sure to help with baby by doing a little chitchat when she had the chance to. It definitely made us feel more welcomed, especially when being afraid to take a fussy baby in public. Thank you for that! Anyway, we ordered the calamari- it was light and delicious. Not too much batter which is good. I got the lobster ravioli. They were very thick and the ravioli was very chewy. They did not skimp on the lobster and I would recommend this dish! We were a party of 20 for a group dinner. The apps were fine nothing too memorable but the main course was just ok. Nothing brilliant or something that has nothing to complain about. Last night my meal and Casta Diva was outstanding. The salad dressing was incredible topping the crisp lettuce. I have always enjoyed the lobster raviolies here but tonight they were outstanding. I always ask for the piccata sauce on top and you will def want to try it this way!! So much lobster meat that was truly enhanced by the lemon butter caper sauce. Where do I start. I have traveled many places and been to many restaurants this ones takes the cake. The service is appalling and to describe it as trash would be a compliment. The service at the door is held up by two children who acted like deer in headlights when I asked anything. We had a reservation for 8:45 and got seated at 9:31. No apology and we had to carry our drinks and menus to the new table. I must have missed the DIY section on the website where they have you experience being a server and make you pay to do it. I would suggest to people I dislike to go to this restaurant as a joke so they could experience the hilarious level of disfunction that goes on here. Also the stucco ceilings and plastic floors. I believe closing the doors permanently may be a sure fire solution to their issues. read more

Only come here if you're looking for significantly overpriced mediocre Italian food. Came here with a group of 9 on a Sunday night. We were one of two tables there for the entire time we were there. While the staff was polite and friendly, it took almost an hour for our food to be prepared. I ordered the haddock special, which apparently did not come with a side as I was charged extra for pasta. In fact, this might be the only Italian restaurant on the planet that doesn't include pasta in an entree. The menu does not present itself as al a carte style, but beware that you pay for each individual item on your plate. On top of the high prices, the food was bland, and one dish was even still frozen. Lastly, I have to point out the fact that there was a hefty credit card fee on our bill that was taxed with the rest of our food. I don't plan on coming back here. I can find much better Italian food in the area for fair prices. read more

First, the drinks are weak, and lime goes in rum and Coke not lemon. The food wasn't bad but highly overpriced for what you get. For me there was absolutely nothing on the menu that I would want to eat. A simple pasta dish for $32 would get me prime rib just a few miles down the street. And for the price I'd expect a little ambiance, we had to use our phone lights to read the menu; it was so noisy, with not a full room, that we couldn't hear each other across the table, and you could only hear the beat of whatever music they were playing. In all a $75-$90 anywhere else cost just over $200 here. We will never eat here again. read more

Poor Ken and the young girl who was the hostess, it was the most dreadful food I have ever tasted and seen, my special starter was all out of a can, if I knew it was seafood salad soaked in brine the muscles in it were all different colors, but I was told by the bartender that I had mistaken it for a clam, no sir the only clam is you, my mothers bruschetta was a shitty hot dog roll with low grade tomatoes with more garlic than Italy combined and a skimpy pour of shitty olive oil, what a joke. We returned both dished and Ken the legend came out and had a chat then made us a lobster roll and bluefin sashimi, these two dishes alone were classy, fully of flavor and looked like Michelin star quality. The mixed grill was a dogs dinner if at best, the veal was sliced so thin that when it got seared it dried up instantly the chicken was the same and my 3 shrimp must of dove out of the Sahara dessert in to the pan last week, cotton wool is more moist, the French fries were supposed to be truffle fries, they were not, my toes have seen more truffle, the garnish was 1" piece of rosemary that had been stabbed in to my poor dessert shrimps heart. All served on a nice soup bowl. My drink was flat when it arrived the second time because it must of been the first squirt out the tap from when it was cleaned. I have read amazing reviews of this place, but if Macdonald did Italian food it would smash them. The chef needs a lesson in cooking, the owners need to hire a chef who knows the basics and a head waitress or manager to work the pass. This place will struggle and probably be closed in a few months or year at best The ambiance when we walked in was like a funeral home with multiple tables and no one talking the music wasn't even on until I asked to put it on as we needed something to change the conversation of how bad this place was. Decided last minute to go to Casta Diva, with a friend, after an amazing manicure - so, all in all a great evening! My friend and I split the mussels with the white sauce - we literally wanted to drink it! Then we split the enormous bowl of Zuppa Di Pesce (or Fish Stew), was perfect to split, it was filled with haddock, calamari, mussels, shrimp, baby clams, and our choice of potatoes (could have chosen pasta) in a savory red sauce with a kick. We had to ask for spoons to finish to slurp up every last spoonful- it was just amazing! This meal should be on the menu! The last few times I've been, it's been incredible! Delightful! And the atmosphere (in the bar area) was pretty, cozy with great lighting - perfect for a romantic night out! Keep the chef you have - I will help you market if you want - because this restaurant is just not busy enough - and I can't believe it!!! People should be flocking here! A surprisingly excellent meal. My Manhattan cocktail was icy cold and delicious. I had the Caesar salad, which was crisp and flavorful, and precut into bite sized pieces. My main course was the chicken piccata over homemade cavatelli, with a wonderful butter, lemon, caper sauce. The La Crema Chardonnay was a tasty accompaniment. I like this place a lot. First and foremost the food is well prepared, tasty and plentiful. I had Veal Saltimbocca with a homemade parpadelle that had a very nice sage seasoning. Large filets of veal and prosciutto. I demolished my plate - nothing left. This is old-school, honest Italian food. Every bite was better than the next. Secondly, the service is friendly and pleasant and the ambiance is intimate and attractive. Its a suburban restaurant so its not fancy but it certainly was a comfortable setting. We found our server and the owner to both be very engaging in an authentic way - maybe they were enjoying us as much as we were enjoying them. I think its important to "give good customer." Awful. Over priced food. Fairly confident that nothing is fresh. Meaning when we ordered mussels, they came out of the shell already as if they were defrosted from a bag. Artisan flatbread for $26 is literally a piece of flatbread I could buy at market basket for $3. The meatballs were definitely frozen from a bag, cut in half and put on a grill to appear as if they were homemade. They will tell you the pasta is fresh but it is not. Great food and atmosphere. The drinks and dishes were very unique and fresh. The interior lighting was quite dim and servers were not in a rush. There is an outdoor deck with patio heaters that has great views of the abutting pond. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu! read more

Sad I didn't find this place sooner! Great service and even greater food/drinks. I got the pollo arrabiata with homemade cavatelli for an entree and fried calamari and brushcetta for our apps. Yum! Chicken was very juicy and tender. Fried calamari was perfectly breaded and seasoned. Brushetta was light and flavorful. For desert we got the pecan gelato and tiramisu. You honestly can't go wrong with either, but my favorite was the gelato. Specialty cocktails were strong and refreshing. Ambience is nice. They're located right on the water and have a cute little patio outside. Very peaceful! They also have event rooms and plenty of parking. Perfect place for lunch with the girls or a date night. What a gem! Casta Diva works for a date night, a group celebration, or a family dinner out. The atmosphere is lovely -- all very fresh, up-to-date, and welcoming. Service is professional, friendly, and perfectly timed. And now -- on to the food! Casta Diva Risotto is a satisfying dish of shrimp, parma ham, prosciutto, and artichoke hearts -- creamy, deeply flavorful, and a generous serving. The chicken picatta served over house-made cavatelli came bathed in a lemony, buttery sauce and, again, a generous portion with very tender chicken. Their menu of cocktails included a holiday mule that showed the deft hand of the bartender and the wines by the glass included a La Crema Chardonnay that paired perfectly with our meal. Can't wait to go back and hope you'll give it a try because this place deserves to become a destination spot. read more

We go here often. Great people working together to serve excellent food! The homemade cavatelli is a must, as well as the bruschetta, and spinach and artichoke dip. We didn't have a very good time at the restaurant. We arrived at 4:30 and ordered at 4:45. Our food arrived at 6:30. My child ordered something and when she got it we saw that there was a lot of red pepper even though it didn't say that on the menu. The waiter that we had was wasn't great and wouldn't listen to what we wanted. For countless times we told her that we wanted the kids food to come first when she told us it was ready but it didn't come. After all of our food came she told us there was no steak and 2 people ordered it. What we didn't understand was that why she didn't tell us before. We sat outside and it was very nice. It was very kid friendly and it is right next to a lake. I want to give my compliments to one of the waiters who was very nice to us. read more

Heard good things about the food; not so good things about the service. Pretty bad service reviews, actually (on Yelp). Decided to try it anyway for the food. Arrived a few minutes early for our 6:30pm reservation for a party of 3 on a Friday night. Place not that busy yet. Requested outdoor seating. Were given the only table on the deck without an umbrella, staring into the setting sun. There was one empty table with an umbrella, but it was Reserved- as if the people who reserved it specifically requested an umbrella. Right. Sat there for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever by anyone on the wait staff. No eye contact at all. Not even a "be right with you". There were 4 or 5 other tables occupied on the deck and being served - sporadically. Got up and walked out, stopping briefly to tell the hostess we were leaving, and why. Received a half-hearted "I'm sorry". Went to Linguini's in Marlboro. Great food. Outstanding service. Great prices. Good portions. Casta Diva should send their wait staff to Linguini's to see what great service is. read more

Had a delicious meal here tonight while it rained on the pond outside. We were seated immediately and soon had a nice plate of foccacia to eat while selecting our meal. I had a super creamy and cheesy gnocchi dish and my wife had the duck carbonara. Both were delicious. Each came with a salad/soup. We picked the kale and spicy tomato. Also delicious! Between bread, our dishes and soup, we were stuffed. We heard that others had a hard time during the Fri/Sat dinner rush last week. The soft opening wasn't supposed to get viral like that! For us on a Thursday everything was easy and great. My only concern is that the price point seems just a tad off. Entrees are $18-28. I feel like it's just a tad too high for the area, but they are trying to bring a finer diner experience. The problem is that the restaurant isn't white table appearance or service. Would I splurge to eat here on occasion for their tasty meals? Sure. But hard to justify it on the regular. read more

She failed to tell us the specials of the day, did not offer soup instead of salad with the entree, and she disappeared for a long time when we were ready to order.
