This place is awesome. The bar staff are all super friendly, attentive, and good at what they do. Special shoutout to bartender Nikolei, he's the best. The only thing that does suck is the $50 card minimum, but there is an atm at the bar anyways. When its a slow day, its a chill bar. When its a busy day, this place gets jumping with a DJ and everything. My friends and I are semi-regulars in the summer because of our boat, and there's never been a bad time here. Just an update- saw someone else saying their service dog is often let in and I likely didn't have his paperwork... I'm glad this isn't a common occurrence, but bouncers were presented with his ADA card with number, and he had his vest and tags on. Not sure how much more exists as far as documentation goes. I have since been able to contact a manager and they did apologize, but have not returned since. read more

Father's Day 2024....wanted to actually go to the adjoining restaurant *next door* to this place. Walked the mile to get there from Watch Hill with two kids on tow, hoping for a nicer meal than hot dogs/burgers, only to be told its adjoining restaurant is closed for a private party. On Father's Day???? Yes. PS - not a single sign advertising this...we had to walk up to the actual restaurant entrance to be told this information. Found out from a fellow visitor it was a memorial gathering from 12-4. I was surprised as it *appeared* to have less than 20 people there. After being told the restaurant was closed, we were then told we can go to the adjoining crowded and loud Casino Bar to feed a now starving family of 4. Wasn't informed of the cover charge or that there's no available seating. Despite their adjoining restaurant closure, the adjoining casino bar still charged $10 per adult to enter the Casino Bar area with a live band. (Not nice to do to families on Father's Day imo knowing the adjoining restaurant is closed). Happy Father's Day. After paying the cover, seating is on your own, and it's Father's Day, lunchtime, so there's not a picnic table or stool seats to be found as families took it upon themselves to grab and sprawl on the picnic tables. Wandering around and around we noticed the inside bar area had 4 stools. Total. Meaning 4 total stools. Lots of floor space inside the shaded bar area, since 99% of the crowd was outside with all of that seating (taken) but literally 4 seats inside. On a holiday. Eventually, just through exhaustion, we found two stools as two people left. And as we waited for the food (cash only) luckily grabbed two more stools and a 20 inch round bar height table just in time to eat (maybe those people saw us and had mercy on us?) $51 for our Fathers Day holiday meal of hot dogs and fries for four on stools with a teeny table with blaring music (exactly what we *didn't* want). (The $51 did not include the bar beverages or the cover charge). I gave this place one star as I think it's totally managements fault for not planning properly. No signs informing of the restaurant closure on the boardwalk (in order to avoid extra walking in the heat and possibly disturbing/distracting the memorial going on!) Knowing you're closing 50% of your establishment on a holiday Sunday, perhaps the adjoining casino bar should have "shifted" to offer hostess assigned seating (time limited) and not allow the crowds to take two picnic tables with not filing the seats, etc. Place more seating inside the bar. ...also....cashing in on (now "stuck-with-no-choice") customers by charging $10 cover....just not nice imo. ...JMO! I have been going to Davis Park my entire life and I have always held the Casino close to my heart. It is a staple of a community I love and it's really upsetting that I can't speak more positively about it after an incident that occurred last night. My girlfriend has a service dog. The dog has been up in the Casino many times and has never had any issue. This past 4th of July me and a few buddies of mine all wanted to go up to have a few drinks before catching the last boat. Immediately my girlfriend and I were told that we may not enter with the dog. We tried to explain that he is a registered service animal. That he is protected by the law and that he is legally allowed on the property because he is accompanying my girlfriend. Without even bothering to listen to us there were two security guards who repeatedly dismissed us over and over stating "There is nothing that you can do that will change our minds". They said that the bar was too busy (there were maybe 20 people in an open space. 3 of which were my friends who entered before us). I asked to speak with a manager or the owner and the guy in the photo claimed to be a manager. He was extremely rude and displayed a serious lack of understanding for the situation. I explained that denying her entry is a civil rights violation because you are discriminating against someone with a disability... despite pulling up the law on my phone, providing him with a card that explains her dogs status, and trying to explain to him that this is an illegal action he continued to deny us entry if we had the service dog. I explained the importance of a service animal and stated that it could be problematic if someone got hurt without the presence of one at the establishment and he retorted with "I do not care if she gets hurt you can't bring the dog in". I found this statement incredibly disturbing especially when he also stated that they "deny service animals all the time". This is a serious issue if that's actually true because there are plenty of people who utilize service animals for any number of health related reasons and the fact that the security staff appointed on what is supposed to be one of the most busy nights of the year doesn't recognize that is extremely problematic. Of the 3 security guards I saw working that night 2 were extremely rude and aggressive towards me and my girlfriend and I hope the guards working that night are educated on the rights individuals with service animals have. Again, this had never happened before in all the time my girlfriend had him. We have had so many wonderful nights together up at that bar with the dog in our company. So why there had to be an incident that night I'm not sure... but I am sure that the guards working that night are seriously unqualified for their position and showed a disturbing lack of respect for both their patrons and the law. read more

Regarding Liam and Jackie's experience, I have had my service dog admitted to the Casino Bar and Restaurant on different occasions but I needed my compliant paperwork on hand. It sounds like you were relying on the fact that Razor had been permitted before and you did not present his proper paperwork for him to gain entry based on his classification as a service animal. You mentioned a card explaining a service animal but never mentioned showing the security the paperwork specific to Razor. That may have been the issue. ‍ Businesses have every right to deny service animal access if the owner does not produce the proper paperwork for their animal, specifically. Also, maybe it was for the safety of Razor if the bar was really busy and his safety would've been compromised. Sounds like it could be with fireworks and Fourth of July crowds. I'm not sure I would want my service animal, children, or even myself at a busy bar with fireworks. read more

This review is about two things I experienced / witnessed on the Fourth of July: shitty service and a gross abuse of power by the "bouncers" that this bar proudly hired. First off- I got a drink after waiting way too long considering there weren't that many people for a holiday night. It doesn't take 20 minutes to notice a girl standing at the bar. In addition to slow bartenders, a friend of mine noticed she was accidentally charged an extra cocktail on her tab. When she brought it up to the bartender HE IGNORED HER and walked away. Very professional, casino bar. The worst part of the night was when I witnessed my friend get beat up by eight of the bouncers, pushed down the stairs, and continuously attacked for a complete misunderstanding. My friend was waiting for food at the snack bar, but the teenager working there was not taking his order. My friend proceeded to take his money back off the counter & walk away. That IDIOT working the snack counter mistook him for stealing money- and alerted the bouncers. I then witnessed one overly-macho bouncer take my friend by the back and slam his face into the ground repeatedly. The other bouncers punched him in the face multiple times & screamed in his ears. By the time he was thrown down the stairs, one more bouncer came to slam his body onto the concrete & again into a trash can. These bouncers abused their power on a dead night at the shitty bar that they work at. They assaulted an innocent, drunk person who meant no harm. They should not work there and frankly I'm disgusted by whomever hired them. It's a shame my friend can't press charges- they will probably just lie to save their asses. We took our boat over to Davis Park for lunch and happen to go into the Casino Bar and Grill. It was kid friendly, people were friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered a cold Lobster Roll and my husband got an Ahi Tuna wrap. I don't like my lobster rolls with too much mayo and this one was just that. I didn't get a chance to ask my husband how his wrap was because it was already gone. They had corn hole for the kids to play with and after lunch we walked right down to the ocean. read more

This review specifically goes out to "DJ" Glen. Typically all of my reviews are directly on the page of the individual or establishment I'm reviewing but unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Glen has a Yelp page for his services or even a Facebook page, unless he goes by another alias, which is entirely possible. I should have searched "DJ Pandora, or DJ iPod" but I can't code "DJ Glen Yelp review" into my work time log, so here I am, Casino Bar. Before I start with "DJ" Glen, I'd like to extend a sincere apology to the Casino bar for dragging your star average down; unfortunately I'm going to pass the buck to Glen on that one. (You owe them a heart-felt apology, Glen!) Now, let's get started... The scene: The Casino bar dance floor, littered in a few miscellaneous groups of happy individuals celebrating various life milestones, including but not limited to a few groups of smiley bachelorette parties ready to bust a move, and an adorable 80 year old couple getting down to a Beyonce hit. Quick sidenote- this was quite possibly the only song Glen played that was remotely relevant from the past 10 years. The incident: I asked "DJ" Glen if he could play one song. ONE SONG. And I wasn't even rude about it. I said "I'm not sure if you take requests, but there is this song called "Celebration" by Post Malone and it's been the anthem of my bachelorette weekend thus far so it'd be awesome if you could play it." Glen took three steps backwards and looked at me like I just crop dusted his DJ booth. He then queued up a song and left the booth to go get a drink at the bar, scowling at me all the while. Hey Glen, let me break this down for you- you're not Calvin Harris. You are dj'ing at a fun beach bar on Fire Island. You. Take. Requests. My friends and I decided to stick it out because we're fun and make the best of it but we then got into a middle finger battle from the dance floor with "DJ" Glen. Ok, sure- not the most mature thing, but I had been drinking, and apparently, Glen had too. My favorite part was when after he had mostly cleared out the dance floor, he yelled out "I'm not here for you!" Glen might not be a good DJ, but he sure is a comedian. I'm not sure if you understand how this DJ thing works, Glen! You actually are here for me! Shortly after the Great Middle Finger Battle of 2017, the dance floor was pretty much empty and the other group of gals bacheloretting high-fived us and agreed that "DJ" Glen was in fact the worst. It's now abundantly clear to me why Glen played the 1980 Kool & The Gang hit "Celebration." which further solidifies my theory on Glens relevancy in the DJ game. This review is for both Casino Bar and Cafe which is right next to each other. I'm not sure if they are the same but we went to both. Casino Bar: Very fast service even though it's jam packed my friend got the burrito and said it was good. The fries was hot and crispy Rocket Fuel $14: 3/5 it's supposed to be 2 shots of 151 but I think there's only 1 in there. I can taste the alcohol but not much. We ordered at least 10 of these among the 7 of us and it's not consistent Mudslide $12: 3/5 tastes good but no trace of alcohol Casino Cafe: Staff: 2/5 we waited 40 mins to get our food and the restaurant was half empty. Our water is constantly empty and I ordered New Zealand Half Rack but they got me short rib... the waitress did apologize for the mistake and my lamb came out in 15 mins after the mix up Beef & Chicken sliders: 4/5 very small... probably 2/3 of the size of a slider which you would usually get at a restaurant but very tasty. The breaded chicken was crispy and beef was tender Cauliflower rice: 2/5 very blend nothing special would not recommend New Zealand half Rack: 4/5 the Tabboulah that came with it was interesting. There were 4 racks of lamb and the meat was only half of what a normal Rack would contain (hence the half Rack??) the lamb was tender and juicy Flourless Chocolate Cake: 5/5 very smooth not overly sweet. I would recommend this~ Overall it's a pretty pricy place I'm not sure if I would want to come back again. read more

Honestly the worst steak I've ever had. THE worst! Calamari - chewy. Mashed potato tastes like paper. Chicken skewers - cardboard. Clams - fishy. The only semi ok thing was the bruschetta. Horrible. $10 margarita from the bar was not a margarita-- margarita's contain tequila, the drink I had was just crushed ice and margarita mix I'm pretty sure, I drank it quickly and felt -nothing-. Friends agreed and bought beers ($7 for a 12oz cup of domestic draft) after the first drink, but I refused to keep giving this place money. There's a $100 minimum on cards (Insane!), and the bathroom was pretty dirty. I'd suggest you go to the grocery and pick up a six pack, sit on the beach close by if you want to hear the band. read more

First of all, I'm not sure why this restaurant is under the category of "casinos", since it is not a gambling establishment. With that being said, the Casino Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants which I try to visit at least once every year. It is only one of two oceanfront restaurants on all of Fire Island, and the only restaurant in Davis Park. Therefore, with the spectacular view and captive market, the food could be mediocre and the place would still probably be packed! Fortunately, that is not the case as the restaurant consistently produces high quality food with excellent service. The items on the standard menu are excellent in their own right, however, there is a list of nightly specials that are always fresh and creative. The Oysters Rockefeller is my all time favorite appetizer. I have tried this dish at various restaurants throughout the East coast and have never been able to find one that compares. I have never been disappointed with fresh fish selections and scallops. Whether chosen as an entree or appetizer they are always cooked to perfection and never disappoint. As a gluten free diner, I was pleased to see some gluten free options on the menu. However, the servers are always happy to check with the chef to see if any of the other dishes can be modified, and the chef is always happy to oblige if it is possible. When the weather is good, outdoor seating on the deck is highly recommended. There is no better way to enjoy a meal than with the sound of waves gently crashing in the background. If weather doesn't permit, eating in the ocean view dining room is recommended during daylight hours. However, the bay view dining room is perfect for watching the sunset and gazing at the lights on and across the bay as night falls. The restaurant bar area is always hopping with a slightly older crowd and the bartenders are extremely friendly and competent. The Casino Bar is right next door and draws a somewhat younger crowd. Various entertainment events such as live bands, DJ, karaoke and trivia are scheduled. During the day it's a great place to walk up from the beach to grab a refreshing cocktail, sit back, and enjoy this special place in paradise. read more

So impressed with the Casino this season! Went over to Davis on the boat for an impulse decision to eat here on a Thursday evening. Very glad we did because everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious. We had a flat iron steak special, flounder special, bacon wrapped monkfish, and the whalebone farfalle. I had the farfalle, it was a huge portion with a bountiful amount of shrimp and asparagus. The sauce was so tasty too! We also had the shrimp & avocado appetizer - the shrimp was so fresh and cooked to perfection...also loved the sauce with that. We sat outside, watched a beautiful sunset and enjoy our tasty drinks and meals. Anxious to go back! read more

We were just there Saturday July 8,2017. Pretty busy at night for a beach bar. The crowed is very diversified in age,from young to older.The rocket fuels are the best there,little pricey but good. We also had some food from the snack bar and must say not bad at all. Bartenders very quick with getting a drink and nice. The music was awesome and the dance floor was packed most of the night. The DJ was playing music for every age group which i personally liked as me and my girl are not old but don't want to hear hip hop or techno music all night at a beach bar.and also saw that as the night went on and the crowed got younger the DJ changed the music up. I think his name is Glen. There were some songs I didn't like but the dance floor was still full and I realize a person is not going to like everything that is played. First time at night for me as we normally come on a Sunday with the bands. read more
