Well, us, for work related transfers and as cinefile-s (some movies - and they're rare were never released passed the VHS era). I started to look into Electronic Repair stores in the area and there aren't many left. Not surprised, but it's LA, so luckily, there are a few left in business, like FET Electronics. I read the Yelp reviews, it was encouraging and bookmarked it! Fast forward 3 months later, we had another issue with a similar Panasonic model that we own, so we decided to give the place a shot. My husband called over, talked to Mark, the owner and felt reassured after their conversation because he identified the issues just over the phone. We stopped by one day and dropped them and met Mark, who is very nice, knowledgeable, a real professional. Not many like him left behind! Too bad that is a profession that is going away. You don't always feel like throwing out equipment that has an issue and get a new one, not always that easy for your set up. Everyone has their reasons! The place is in Burbank, on Burbank Blvd. (close to the Hollywood Way intersection), we found street parking in front. The store might seem small, but it goes all the way back! It's a geek electronics paradise, lots of audio equipment around. Mark also did work for major musicians like Van Halen among many others - check his photo gallery on the wall! Famed clients! We left the VCR-s, called in about 2 weeks and he fixed them, he was testing them to make sure! After a few days we picked them up, he checked them for us, and he gives you a 3 months warranty which is great. If you're in a rush, this might not work out since Mark is busy, but if you're patient, he will get it fixed in a few weeks. It's not cheap, but he gets high quality parts and it makes sense for the repair to last. If you have an old piece of equipment that needs to be fixed, Mark is the guy. Hurry in before he retires! He is very nice, kind, nice to chat with, reassuring, calm, and very, very knowledgeable, you will trust him on the spot. Closed in the weekend! Great experience, great place, hope it will be around for a while. It helped our situation and the location is great! Nice to get great service at a local small business in the area!

Norik went above and beyond, swapping amps and back plates, testing each driver and tweeter, and eventually tracing it to a phase problem in the right tweeter and a blown left tweeter. He replaced the left tweeter, corrected the phasing, and now both speakers sound pristine in my studio. do not listen to the bad reviews about this place a lot of people do not understand the complexities of their audio Gear and are upset when it cost money to fix. It says a lot that this is the only official Adam audio repair shop in the US.

I find it interesting that this owner's response to dissatisfied customers is often to challenge…read morethem to reveal their full name or prove they were customers. You're missing the fundamental issue. Customers do not like being inconvenienced, especially when they are paying premium prices and investing significant time to do business with you. The issue isn't whether you charge in advance or not, nor any of the other explanations you routinely offer in response to criticism. The issue is much simpler: many customers did not receive what they were originally promised. In my case, I made multiple lengthy trips to your shop that should never have been necessary. I was told my unit was repaired, only to arrive and discover that no repair had actually been performed. Months then passed without meaningful progress or communication. That's the source of the frustration. Had expectations been properly managed, updates been communicated proactively, and commitments been honored, this review likely would not exist. Instead of focusing on defending the process, it may be worth considering why so many customers are expressing similar concerns. At the end of the day, customers are paying for expertise, reliability, and trust. When those expectations are not met, dissatisfaction is the natural result. Good luck to YOUR sorry ass business!

This Guy Is the Mac Whisperer (and Probably a Jedi in Disguise)…read more So here's the deal: if your iMac suddenly pulls a "Broadway blackout" and leaves you staring into the void while your life's work hums faintly in the background, you need Tommy from MacMyDay -- not tomorrow, today. Tommy showed up like a scene-stealing character from a tech-comedy crossover of Superbad and South Park (minus the profanity and teenage chaos). He was upbeat, wicked smart, totally honest, and not once did I feel like I was being hustled, upsold, or dragged into a 14-step "tech enlightenment program." The man is a tech guru meets philosopher, with a little bit of music producer and friendly neighbor energy thrown in. He didn't just assess my ancient iMac (which, bless it, had finally gone to the dark side -- literally), he walked me through realistic, budget-friendly options to rebuild my setup without making me feel like I had to sell a kidney or join a startup. His advice? All tailored for me, not some one-size-fits-all checklist. And he made it fun -- yes, fun -- to talk about external drive casings and system upgrades. Tommy is observant, kind, and thinks like someone who's been in your shoes -- which means you walk away feeling heard, helped, and way less freaked out about your tech. Also, 10/10 for vibes, conversation, and not being a robot. Seriously, just call him. It's rare to find people like this in any field -- much less one where trust, data, and your digital life are on the line. Five stars, because 10 stars isn't an option.
