The short version - All of the other reviews are absolutely true - definitely a delightful experience - there is a reason it's five stars in every single review. USE THIS COMPANY ! My very highest recommendation for Gabriel and Cashmacs - he is extremely fair to his customers - you can trust him completely --------------------- The long version - I sold a MacBook Air laptop and two iPad minis to Gabriel this afternoon - it was an excellent experience. It makes such a difference being able to go to his building and talk to him in person to sell your Apple products, as opposed to using an online trade-in vendor where you have to ship the products to them for evaluation before getting paid for them. I got my quotes through the Cashmacs website - Gabriel gives quotes through text and phone calls as well - quotes are based on the serial number of your products. After I had the quote, I chose from a list of appointment times on the website to meet up with him in his building in Burbank - he sent email confirmation very fast. And he paid cash immediately and quickly after looking at the items - and his quotes and cash payouts were higher compared to the online trade-in vendors where you mail it away just hoping for a smooth experience. Gabriel is so friendly and easy to talk to - but way more importantly, he is honest and upright and was fair beyond words to me. After I had already (extremely happily) left his building with cash in hand, he dropped an additional amount of funds into my bank account tonight to increase the payout he had already given to me for the MacBook Air - he had found that the online quoted amount he had paid out for it was for an Air without the upgrades in memory and flash storage that mine had. This was going totally above and beyond and was so cool of him - because after I had already accepted his online quote/offer and signed the receipt, I'd not expect to receive an adjusted payout - but that is what happened. Totally unbelievable fairness and kindness and there aren't enough words to express how grateful I am to him for this. Don't even consider going through Apple's trade-in/ give-back program. The vendors for them - Phobio for laptops and Brightstar for iPads and iPhones - have absolutely terrible reviews on multiple websites and forums. So many people have had trouble with these two companies. You get a quote from them based on the condition you describe - then pack and mail in the device to them - but then more often than not they will adjust the quote, saying that the device won't boot - or the screen is damaged - or the item wasn't as described - and then it's a choice of whether to accept the revised quote (which is sometimes $0 ! ) or else experience the hassle and the wait to get the item returned to you. Plus which -it's an Apple gift card that is given from Phobio and Brightstar - not cash. Best Buy also has trade in program - in store, but for a Best Buy gift card. Gabriel's quotes and cash payouts were higher for my items than Apple or Best Buy - and his quotes are not a runaround or an unrealistic quote just to get you in the door and then it turns out to be less or whatever - he honors them and he even increased mine after I left. Yeah, you can photograph your products and write up an ad to sell them yourself on Ebay or Craigslist for higher price - but then you have to pack and ship - or - meet up with strangers and maybe creepers - and that is if the items sell in the first place. Gabriel's process is so smooth and fast -- plus which he completely removes all of the headaches and dangers of selling. From reading the other reviews, it is obvious that he makes it as easy as possible to both sell to him and buy from him, even meeting up with you at a location convenient to you if you can't make it to the building where he is. He has a whole online list of Apple products for sale - alot of pix and descriptions on Instagram with majorly-reduced prices compared to Apple Store. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in - but now I know - Gabriel is honest and nice and polite and ethical, you can trust him 100% and I've already made an appointment to bring another Apple product to sell to him tomorrow morning. The building is right on the corner of West Olive Avenue and Frederic Street in Burbank - the entrance to the parking structure is off of Frederic Street - visitor parking was super easy, a lot of empty spaces right there on the first floor of the structure. read more
