Ordered take out on Monday night 6/20/22 Large Hawaiian with jalapeño Mozzarella sticks Onion rings I called and explicitly asked for lots of ranch. It's 2022 it basically goes without saying that all of the above ordered require copious ranch. I arrive and see my order, the skinny blonde hands it to me and tells me my total. I do not see a bunch of lingering ranch in the bag, so I again say, can I get like extra extra ranch. She replies, there is extra in there. I get home and pop open the mozzarella sticks, a marinara, no ranch. Pop open the pizza box, no ranch in there. Pop open the onions rings, two tiny ranch. I check the bag again, no ranch. Two tiny ranch for the entire order where lots of ranch was requested twice, is "extra"? If this were a party of 4 dining in and all four customers requested ranch for each thing set down, it would be accommodated, why is take out not treated with the same quality? It's lazy and lacks hospitality, especially after you get 18 percent to bag my food and hand it to me. The pizza crust was dry, tasteless and no bueno. The best thing about the order was onion rings. I am super disappointed as I've gone here several times for drinks and finally decided to try the food. After working in hospitality for ten plus years it is quite basic to fulfill requests, you simply listen and deliver. I will not ever be back, nor will I recommend. read more

Large portions and average taste. I was definitely unimpressed, but I can see the draw after a day at the beach when quantity trumps quality. Service was reasonably quick (except one order that forgot). I'd recommend sitting inside instead of the parking lot though. read more

Nice place and friendly. However, last visit there we ordered three entrees to go. They almost gave us the wrong order/bag, but someone stepped in just as we were leaving and realized the mistake and gave me the correct bag to go. No big deal. But when we got home, all three entrees were not prepared as we ordered. Cheese Quesadilla with no guac or sour cream came with guac and sour cream. Hamburger well-done was rare and bloody. French Dip sandwich came with Cole slaw in a tiny condiment cup that amounted to one bite. The employees are great, but I think the cook needs to read the orders a little more carefully. I'll probably eat there again because it's close and we normally like it, but I'll have to be sure it's prepared properly before accepting the food. read more

You can't go wrong here.. the staff is the bomb! Food is great.. have not had one thing there that i did not like.. ever! Huge menu.. from breakfast, to dinner.. lots of choices and large portions! No matter who you run into you will have an amazing experience. The food, drink and ambiance are next level. Stop in for a few drinks on tap at the bar while on vacation. Comfortable atmosphere inside and the bartender/waitress was friendly. While there I saw on the menu that they offer a specialty gluten free crust pizza with cauliflower topping which I like to try next time. The menu offers more than just pizza and the patrons inside are likely locals and they are not noisy. There are televised monitors inside showing sports. Dine in or outdoors under the umbrellas if sunny. I like this place. It's located next to Safeway at Zephyr Cove. To the right from this mall is a walking path for Round Hill Pines/Kahle Park. read more

A group of us dined here over the weekend. The staff was nice and accommodating but the food and setting left more to be desired. The food seemed to be really hit or miss. My friend and I ordered the lemon chicken soup which was so salty that neither of us could palate it. I also had a burger which was very very average - thin, dry patty despite asking for medium rare. Nonetheless, another person in my group really liked the burrito bowl. It seems like you have to know what to order here. read more

Santa here, It is really frustrating when a company, with a good website, doesn't USE it to let its customers know what they are doing. I was hungry for breakfast. I went to the website to check the hours, look at the menu and headed down. I get here and there is a small sign on the door, basically letting you know that the entire staff is on vacation. WHAT'S up with that?! How about scheduling vacations and stay open? Couldn't you have just posted that on your website so I didn't have to drive there? This would have been a nice thing to do. Went here last weekend around lunch time. Very friendly staff. I ordered the Thai Chicken lettuce wraps and tea. Had a nice assortment of unusual herbal teas. My husband ordered the cheese burger with fries. In my excitement of this food masterpiece, I forgot to take pictures. :( The Thai chicken wraps were great! Consisted of tender bites of saluted chicken breast, broccoli flowerets, carrot slivers, sautéed sliced tomatoes with transparent thai-like noodles in a sweet peanut-chili sauce. Lots of iceberg lettuce cups too. It was excellent, flavor, texture and presentation. My husbands hamburger was cooked perfectly and was juicy, served with iceberg lettuce, melted cheese on a toasted bun. We ate here back in July....had breakfast items. This place is a hidden gem in S. Lake Tahoe. I would recommend it as a place with great food and friendly staff. read more

We love eating at Casey's whenever we are in town. It's a locals hangout that welcomes visitors. The waitstaff is attentive and service is prompt. The menu offers a variety of dishes to meet the needs of everyone in your party. Their sauces and dressings are homemade so depending on who makes it that day, it can be slightly different. This is a very busy place. Being a restaurant owner, I respect the hard work of what appears to be the owners. During my Summer stay in lake Tahoe, I visit this restaurant at least once a week. However, last Sunday I went there for my usual shrimp Louie salad. It had wet, soggy, old lettuce. The surroundings, tables and countertop, were a mess. Not a super friendly place: it's busy and I got a feeling that unless they know you because you're a regular, you are not important. Staff are so task focused they are unable to look up and make eye contact, acknowledge, smile. Second issue is the food. Some things are good, but it's not consistent. Biscuits are hard, not enough gravy. Some food items were not hot (waffle, syrup, gravy). Been there, had the experience, no need to go back. read more

Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and was able to get seated right away. Noticed that there are quite a few regulars that come by and that the staff can easily recall their orders so that was a nice touch. Host/Server was nice and accommodating from the get-go, telling customers to sit wherever they felt most comfortable. The waitress who took our order saved us a few dollars by letting me make a substitute rather than paying for an entree + two separate sides. Glad to know there's still good people out there that don't try to take advantage of you, especially in such a touristy area. Food was just as good as the service! Stopped here with my family to get some food after a long day in the sun, and both women (one tall, one with fake lashes ), greeted us rudely. We all sat down outside (3 kids, 4 adults), only to inform us that they don't serve parties over 6. Come on now!! Seriously?? They could've seated us separately, or maybe make an exception since a child was with us. We got up and left and went to Denny's where at least we were accommodated and treated with respect. Normally the service and food is very good. However, lately they are forgetting things and not getting the orders right. I was really disappointed with the "Burrito Bowl", which was basically a bunch of chips, rice and beans. The burger we ordered was missing the items we asked for and had additional items we didn't want on it. The salads are always very good and that's my go-to at Casey's. Asked if I wanted onions/cheese on my chili but not told that it would cost $0.50 extra per item. Cajun fries ordered but regular fries brought out. Solution? Give me some cajun seasoning rather than tossing them for me. - Chili, $2.95 (4/5) Really good chili, lots of ingredients, good flavor. - Western Bacon Burger, $11.95 (4/5) Really delicious burger, huge 1/2 lb portion. Juicy. Great ingredients. If I had one complaint, it would be that the bun gets really soggy and starts to fall apart toward the end. - Strawberry Milkshake, $3 add-on (5/5) Loved this milkshake. - Value (4/5) Price for the burger is a bit high but the portion justifies it. Now, considering I was overly full afterward, you could argue that you might prefer paying less for a smaller burger. - Final Word A really good place to eat in Tahoe; I'll definitely go back, but they really need to fix the service. We came up to Tahoe on a Thursday, hit the Safeway and went in for a beer and some delicious apps. Saw someone eating a chicken friend steak, and vowed to be back the next morning. Woke up early, headed on in for the best breakfast we have had. Chicken fried steak was amazing, the gravy was on the point, and the toast!!! The toast is thick and delicious. We had a little bit of everything, waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict, and it all was wonderful! On our way out and back down to the airport, Sunday morning we hit it up again. Burger was insane, french dip and Casey's breakfast special. 3 times in 4 days I say was a pretty good deal for us since the food was affordable and delicious. Also, a huge shout out to the young men who work the front. They were amazing! Sweet, on it from the minute you walked in the door and really great with all the customers! It was our favorite part! We decided to give this place a try after seeing the positive reviews and it helped having a 10% off coupon! It certainly did not disappoint. My hubby got the SF shrimp salad however the 'Louie' dressing was way too spicy....not a problem, they made him a fresh one and he chose the balsamic vinaigrette which he liked much better. I had the Tahoe tuna melt with Cajun tater tots which was very good. I would have like to taste the baked apple in the tuna melt more. The service was fantastic.
