There was only one person working but he was efficient and pleasant. 3.5 stars (given it's a resort restaurant ) and round up to 4 for the nice service. Fish tacos: 3.5 stars. Tasted good at first but half way through one taco the taste became boring. The fried fish was good but it needed some extra flavors, especially tanginess to balance the fish and slaw. Onions should have been pickled for some tanginess and side of salsa would be good. Shrimps fettuccini:3.5 stars. Decent flavors and plenty of shrimp. I like that there were veggies with the pasta (tomatoes and either kale or spinach) I liked the baguette toast. Pasta cooked done whereas I would prefer it to be al dented. Excellent restaurant at The Ridge Resort. We visited twice over the last two nights, the second time with extended family. Some of the highlights included: -- chimichanga appetizer: this is superb, and served with a sauce that's to die for! -- fish and chips: also ordered both night, like the chimichanga app. -- ribeye steak: the chef recommends it my medium rare, which is how I had it, paired with an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon. --their burgers are huge - the Nevada burger and the California burger were both enjoyed by the kids! They remade them when we found they were undercooked the first time. Service was polite, attentive and well above par. We will certainly return! read more

Quite shocked and amazed. Amazing service and fantastic food. I had to fish and chips and my friend had the fish tacos. Both tasted great and were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The french fries were crispy and fresh. My Coke glass was always full. Only complaint, I ordered the chip and salsa appetizer and it was a pretty boring plate with some chips and some salsa. Tasted good, but could have been more exciting for the price. Dining room is clean and bright with a nice view. Expected to walk away with a three-star review at best, and this place easily scored five tonight. Price wasn't too bad either. read more

Ruben welcomed us with a smile and friendly chit-chat. One small concern was there was no bar service next to the Bistro on Mondays - Wednesdays, although wine and beer is served here. Also love the bar here; friendly bartender, great prices for drinks and food. You'd be surprised; their food is very delicious. Wow, the breakfast prices are so cheap, and the food is good. The server is great too. I know a lot of people complain about only one person working, but the service is not slow at all. You can have a nice and peaceful breakfast. read more

Food is average . Service was beyond terrible. With minimal tables it seemed like there was only 1 server running the whole restaurant. He warned us the wait would be long but placing a to go order he said 15 mins. We waited over 50 mins and still had to go up to the register to find out where the food was . We've gotten food here quite a few times during our stays at the resort. Prices aren't cheap, but they're comparable to what you'd get at a nearby restaurant, plus you have the convenience of it being onsite. Service has always been very friendly and super fast. We've had burgers, salads, sandwiches, fish and chips, and pastry items. We've never been dissatisfied with anything. There are a few tables to sit at. I'm sure we'll get food from here a lot in the future. read more

How can you call a place a Bistro, but no servers to be found anywhere? First off, they gave me credits to this place after which I went to a timeshare presentation for Holiday vacation club. Glad I didn't purchase the timeshare and have to stay at this resort, where this restaurant is dying inside. First off you walk in, and you have no idea if you sit down at a table or you go up and order yourself. You would think a "Bistro" would have servers and service. But in fact, there was only one person working the register and drinks, and you had to wait in line and order food. Not what I expected because I thought this was a restaurant but it is clearly not. The food took forever to come and it was very basic, definitely not worth the $15 they were charging. Yea this place is no good, just really bad service. read more

Nice, convenient place to eat while staying at Tahoe Ridge Resort, which is now Holiday Inn Club Vacations Tahoe Ridge. I like not having to drive all the way into South Lake Tahoe in order to get a decent bite to eat. Due to Covid, this is the only restaurant available at the clubhouse, so the line can get a little long at times but the food is surprisingly good for a hotel café! The employees are all super nice and friendly too! If you go for breakfast I recommend the rustic potato skillet which comes with your choice of eggs and either ham or bacon. Breakfast is served from 8 am to noon and lunch/dinner is served from 11:30 am to 8 pm. read more

Went twice during Covid (October 2020) and obviously there was a limited menu, once for breakfast, once for lunch. Had the brisket sandwich for lunch and fried eggs with home fries for breakfast. Fair. Didn't bother with pictures. We ordered from here twice over a week stay. It is very convenient because it is on site, honestly the drive to town for food is worth it. My fries when ordered both in house and to.go were just warm, not hot. My salad was less than fresh. The chips are really good but the salsa needs work. Great drinks from the bar. I got breakfast here twice, and I enjoyed the food both times. You order your food at the counter, pay, and then have a seat and wait for them to bring it out. The dining area is VERY nice, particularly the natural light (could get hot in the summer sitting in the sun) and the very sturdy wood tables. The service was friendly, their coffee area is self serve. The first time we came here it was the weekend where they have the omelet bar special. It was fantastic. A guy name Yuri (I believe) was working the omelet bar station, and he did an AMAZING job. The omelet was perfect. There's a table where all the toppings are laid out, and you get to pick which you'd like. With the omelet, you also get breakfast potatoes, which I also liked. The second time, we ordered the Bistro Breakfast and Quiche. Both were good, but I enjoyed the omelets from the day before so much that nothing could have topped them. I think the price here is very fair, taking into consideration you're at a resort so they are a LITTLE inflated. However, if you're staying at the Ridge Tahoe Resort, this is the top choice IMO, since you're not wasting time and money driving somewhere else (unless you're planning on spending the whole day, including the morning, out doing thing). Overall, this is 5 stars to me, mostly because the omelets that Yuri made were so damn good. Price is fair, dining area clean and modern. Only minor setback was their dessert window by the counter was somewhat weak compared to the other picture someone uploaded on here. Still, 5 stars all day. read more

We stopped in for breakfast at The Ridge Club Bistro. The service was exceptional. One employee took the order, cooked the served the food himself. The menu was limited but covered all of the morning basics. They serv Peet's Coffee and offer free refills. The dining area is comfortable and clean. My husband ordered the Bistro Breakfast ($10.00) with a side order of sourdough pancakes. ($6.00) I ordered a breakfast sandwich ($10.00) made with egg, cheese and bacon. It was served on a croissant and was served hot and delicious. My husbands meal came with two eggs, toast, potatoes and bacon. It was all served hot and he enjoyed every bite. During our visit to The Ridge Resort the bistro was our main source of food, but was essentially an overpriced snack bar with a few "fancy" items like salmon and steak with the hotdogs and cheese fries. They didn't sell coke (only pepsi) which honestly from their fountain tasted inexplicably the same (crazy right?) and while they had quite a bit of seating there was usually only one person staffing. The first night the service was nothing to write home about, but the second afternoon the new person was incredibly friendly, very personable, and generally one of the best waiters I've seen. Both my hot dogs were quite good, though I enjoyed the one on first night with my glass of moscato a bit more. Because class. All in all, I wished the diner had been open, but the hot dogs were tasty and the service was great. So four stars. read more

I didn't eat here. Viewed the menu and nothing seemed appetizing, then left. The Hungry Bear Restaurant, the Bistro, and the Bar are all attached in a small area. There are apx 5 dinner entrees max. This "so-called" restaurant needs REVAMPING.. I say "so-called" because it's EXTRA SMALL just like the menu. Please add more items to the menu. Maybe even rename the restaurant because this isn't a restaurant; more so a Diner or Cafe. Add Bar Food like sliders, wings, mozzarella sticks, sandwiches, or any dipping food and more soups. All those items go well with the bar that's attached. People will actually want to hang out here to enjoy the resort. This will also keep guests happy because we won't have to drive down to the strip for a decent variety food. It was a drag having to drive down to the strip on a busy summer weekend to grab a meal. read more

I'm up here visiting the Tahoe Ridge resort and we wanted some lunch. I know this isn't the peak season for this place, winter is for the skiing, but there were a decent amount of people about. We found the Bistro upstairs and it was all dark. It didn't even seem open but it was. This food venue is not really a real restaurant like the website makes it out to be. It's like a snack bar where you go up and stand in line and order and then pick up your food and eat it in the small dining area. The dining area really didn't look very inviting, just sort of dark and gloomy. We got the Fish and Chips for $14 and a burger for $15 that came with fries. Those are some ski resort prices! Without the snow! The food was just OK, standard, nothing to write home or get excited over. With a drink and tax it was a $40 lunch for 2 at basically a snack bar. There really wasn't anywhere to sit and eat with a nice view or anything. I might not have felt so bad, if there was a deck with tables, but there wasn't. I'd skip this place unless you really don't want to leave and go somewhere else. read more

Awful We drove into Tahoe to our resort at the Ridge and we were exhausted. We wanted to grab a quick bite because we were starving. This Bistro is inside the clubhouse at the ridge. The man serving us acted like he hated his life. We ordered at the counter and he only replied with the total. He gave us mean stares and honestly worked so slow and careless it was as if he did not want to be there. When he brought out of food, he threw it on the table, fries slid off of my plate. I was stunned. I was going to request ranch for my fries but I was so shocked from this action that I knew if I opened my mouth something nice would not have come out. His response to this was just one word "sorry" and he walked away. Once I finished my drink, I went to go ask him for a refill and the ranch. He poured the drink incredibly slow with no emotion to his face and handed it back to me. He walked back to the kitchen and grabbed some ranch. Not a word from him as I thanked him. Why is someone that behaves in this manner in customer service? Let alone for a huge resort? Okay now the food... I ordered the Beef BBQ Brisket sandwich and fries and my partner ordered a turkey and ham sandwich with fries. The brisket sandwich was basically roast beef slathered in bbq sauce on a bun. My partners sandwich was a half sandwich sliced diagonally with two pieces of turkey and two pieces of ham lettuce tomatoes. They even loaded the sandwich up with an extra piece of bread to make it look bigger I guess. Something I could have easily made at home with bread meat and a jar of mayonnaise. Not worth $15. Neither of them were. Now okay the sandwiches weren't good and neither was the service, but fries? Kinda an American staple that is hard to mess up. I swear I almost chipped a tooth these fries were so hard and flavorless. Please I beg you, if you are staying at the ridge, DO NOT EAT AT THE BISTRO. We were starving and exhausted and spent $30 on garbage food we didn't enjoy nor did we finish. We left, got ready and drove down the hill to get some pizza instead. The food here is fresh, delicious, and exceeded my expectations. Not to mention, the employees here are so hard working and pleasant. I stayed at this resort for a week and spent a lot of time relaxing at this bistro. I watched as the lunch and dinner waiter served numerous families and couples with a smile and positive attitude. There were some demanding/rude resort patrons and I was pleasantly surprised that they remained professional and accommodating. I know I'm not a secret shopper but I felt like one watching some high-stress situations...this staff deserves a raise!! Over the course of the week, I got the salmon salad w/corn salsa, Cobb salad, portabella sandwich, and the mushroom burger. Everything was cooked well and came out quickly. We came when there are still COVID restrictions so were prepared to get take out to bring back to our room. We were so pleasantly surprised by the entire experience! The dining room was not crowded and tables were spread out. Service was super friendly, and the food was quite good! We enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad, shrimp tacos, fish and chips, and grilled salmon salad with basil vinegrette. So yum! We will be back definitely. read more

Glad I got talked out of the more expensive rib eye dinner. I had the prime rib. While I realize we ordered at opening time I assumed I would have WARM food. The prime rib was cold. The vegetables I worried would warm up my girl's salad because I don't like cooked vegetables. Not to worry though they were cold too! Bistro is French for cold food? I didn't know. For a high end resort, low end quality. Obviously the prime rib is leftovers they fuck the guests over with. If you want to serve cut rate dishes give your guests a heads up. PRIME usually means top quality. Not cold passed off to the next guests days after it is made the first time. Embarrassing for a place this nice. Are zoo monkeys running this place? Probably not, the shit monkeys throw at people is reasonably close to body temperature. read more

While staying at this lodge, they give you a $10 food credit voucher per person, per day. Had the egg sandwich and enjoyed it. Coffee is strong, but good. Nice servers as well. All the food being served looked like large portions. Not sure why reviews are so low. read more
