I don't even know where to begin, so perhaps I should start with my initial first impression with Cascadia Dental Specialists... Jessica, Jessica, Jessica, what an absolute delight!!! I believe she is the front office manager/representative. Upon my first call to Cascadia Dental Specialists, Jessica put me at ease and what a relief after speaking to so many dental offices on the phone in search of a remedy to the tremendous pain I was in only to find rude and incompetent offices. Jessica treated me with respect and her friendly, calm but professional way of doing things won me over after only a phone call. Did I mention I absolutely HATE going to any dentists or dental specialist, but after experiencing the likes of Dr. Faghih and Cascadia Dental Specialists, I am truly blown away!!! I thought for sure I would be the last person to write any review, let alone a raving review for a root canal procedure of all things?! Dr. Faghih is absolutely brilliant! He is confident but does not come of arrogant or cocky. You can tell that he knows what he's doing and I was put at ease with his calm and laid back personality. He has the kindest eyes and when you're underneath goggles, listening to music and hearing those ear-piercing drilling noises, the only thing to read that makes sense is the eyes of the person performing the procedure. Watching his eyes while he worked disarmed me and allowed me to relax. He's like none other when it comes to numbing you and getting you out of pain immediately and efficiently. I'm the biggest wimp there is when it comes to having to undergo type of dental work, but I would go back to him in the future without any anxiety or fear. I knew I was in the best of hands at this office. Dr. Faghih's hands glided like the ocean, so smooth, calm and consistent. I my opinion, he's among the very best at what he does. It's been a few hours since my root canal procedure and even without medication, I feel fantastic. I am still so amazed at how flawless and easy going this procedure was. So to Jessica and Dr. Faghih and of course, Mariah (his assistant)--two thumbs way up. Your office rocks!!! Beware of Unexpected Costs!!!! I had a VERY disappointing experience at Cascadia Dental. I initially went in for a routine examination, and the dentist recommended a "deep cleaning" (also known as scaling and root planing). They suggested me that my insurance should cover it, so I trusted their recommendation. However, after the procedure, I was shocked to learn that my insurance denied the claim, stating that there was no medical evidence (such as bone loss) to justify the treatment. While I acknowledge that it is ultimately my responsibility to verify coverage, I am extremely frustrated that Cascadia Dental did not provide any warning, nor did they attempt to confirm with my insurance before pushing the procedure. I relied on their professional judgment, only to end up with an unexpected bill. Although they offered a small $200 discount, I was still left with a hefty $700 out-of-pocket expense. This experience has left me feeling misled. I strongly advise anyone considering treatment here to double-check with their insurance first and not blindly trust their recommendations. **I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 solely because of the $200 discount I received. Honestly, the staff are nice and the clinic has a good environment. However, I do not recommend this clinic due to their lack of transparency regarding insurance coverage. I had such a great experience with Dr. Albather that I feel compelled to share. Several years ago, I was told I might need to have my wisdom tooth removed, but Dr. Albather took a much more conservative and thoughtful approach. She performed a procedure to remove excess tissue around the area, which allowed me to properly clean the tooth and ultimately keep it long-term. I'm genuinely grateful for that--avoiding an extraction made a huge difference for me. What really stood out was her attention to detail and commitment to preserving my natural tooth whenever possible. I cannot believe noone else has reviewed Cascadia Dental. But then again I find Yelp to be unethical in hiding reviews unless ta business pays for advertising and probably the good Dr. F. does not believe in Yelp's blackmail system. Regardless I would just like to compliment this specialty dental office on their professionalism and their use of high tech equipment. We have been to several other endodontists that just wanted to pull the problem tooth. They never even suggested the procedure that Dr. F used....they just wanted to pull off the crown and take a look at the tooth. But Dr. F. took his time and was willing to take measures to save the tooth. He is obviously not driven by money. His front office gal, Jessica is soooooo friendly and kind. And she is very knowledgeable as well. She totally gets it when we explain things to her. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience. I was told I need 2 root canals, which later needed to be extracted because there was a crack down to the root of the teeth, causing the worst pain I have ever had. The root canals cost me thousands, and now have to spend thousands more for implants. read more
