The clinic had a full house of patients but it was managed with flow and professionalism. Several things come into play with this 1 star 1.)The dentist kept telling a lady that was sedated and crying that it didn't hurt and eventually smacked her forehead at least 3 times and told her to stop crying 2.) the dental assistant (male) unplugged a sedated unconscious woman from her vitals machine to take a blood pressure of my daughter and had to be reminded to clean the cuff before using it on my child. 3.) dental assistant (male) decided to lecture my severely autistic minimal verbal child that she had to get the X-rays with the bite wings done (we were told they could manually do it and didn't need the wings) 4.) they gave my daughter two sedation pills and then discharged us when she couldn't even sit up because she wouldn't sleep. 5.) the dental assistant (male) assisted with getting my daughter standing and then left me in the hallway with her while he went to find a wheelchair. He then wheeled her outside and I went to grab the car, he started talking to the person that was with the woman in the beginning of the review and wasn't paying attention to my daughter who was trying to get up and falling out of the wheelchair. Daughter has 4 wisdom teeth out, everything went fairly well until issues at the pharmacy. You'd think they would put in all rx's at once. He never prescribed the Vicodin, prescribed everything else. I called the office and got the response "he's very busy and will get to it at some point". Not comforting whatsoever. Not fun watching daughter in that much pain, and then get a bs excuse. Two trips to the pharmacy later, we have what we need. Everything else there seemed to run smoothly. I'm bent because of trips to pharmacy and not having what we needed the first time. It's a great place to take care of your teeth and the entire mouth hygiene. The scheduling lady Maria was great and very helpful. You know what really sucks? Being the duchess of your dentist's office. But after nearly ten years without a proper [read: non-emergency] dental appointment, I ended up at Aden. Hooray for finally having dental insurance! The staff here is fantastic -- from the receptionist all the way to Dr. Young, everyone is genuinely concerned for the well-being of you [and your teeth]. If you're dreading a visit to the dentist, Aden pretty much is the best place to go -- they have top of the line *everything* and can get all your x-rays done pretty much instantly. They're all about your comfort -- there are large tv monitors mounted on the ceiling and they have a variety of blu-rays for you to choose from as you get your mouth worked on. Let's just say with all the stuff that needed fixing after ten years, I got very comfortable with this place. All the hygienists who have worked with me have been great, and Dr. Young has a particularly light hand -- and as was mentioned in another review, a gentle voice -- she explains everything she's doing so there are no surprises and minimal discomfort. I don't think many people are a big fan of going to the dentist, which is why it's all the more important to like the dentist you go to. If your insurance covers a visit to Aden Dental, I super recommend it... I mean, you only have one set of teeth, after all. read more

Hello! I have been going to Aden Dental for a few years now. This place is awesome. Why? Because everytime I go in, they seem to always have some new technology. This Dental office is always up to date. X-Rays, no problem. They come right up on the computer screen, no waiting. Super easy and fast. Non of that painful plastic in your mouth with the film in it. If you are uneasy about anything, Dr. Young has a kind gental voice to calm you down. Also, she talks you through everything that is going on while you're being worked on. Very informative and reassuring. Let me say this, I love this place so much, I am writing a review about it here on YELP. They have top notch Hygenists. Robyn can transform a yellow mouth in to bright white. They have all to tools to do so! Very gental and effective. I've refered all of my friends to this place. I encourage you to go visit with Dr. Young. She genuinly cares about her patients. She is knowledgeable and informative. I hate getting shots, especially in my mouth, Dr. Young has a unique talent that makes it quick and painless, and her warm gental voice will take away any anxiety that you may feel. I have been a patient at Aden Dental since 2001 (time flies!) Everybody is very friendly, the office staff is great with reminder calls/emails, and I've never had any insurance problems. Robyn is a great hygienist and always makes sure I'm comfortable. Dr. Deng is new to the practice, so I haven't had anything major done yet, but she is nice and is keeping an eye on my problem areas. Creature comforts are available, from headsets and videos, to a blanket if one is cold. The most awesome part about going to Aden Dental is when Robyn's cute little dog, Lilly, hops up into my lap and snuggles in. It's amazing how petting Lilly can make teeth cleaning seem to go faster! I've had a lot of work done here over the past 2 1/2 years and it's a great practice. Pamela is really nice and does great work. All of the other associates are extremely friendly and gentle. On top of the great treatment from the medical staff, Gina, the billing coordinator and receptionist is very helpful. I've had some complications with insurance agencies losing information or not responding to the practice and Aden Dental is super understanding. I found this dentist office through my insurance because my other dentist who I've always hated by the way couldn't get me in for two weeks and I had a root canal that needed to be done so I called Aden dental and they got me in for an appointment in two days. I saw Dr Minh Dang. She did my root canal and though I'm not the best patient she delt well and she also fixed another filling that my other dentist screwed up and it looks beautiful. I didn't even ask her to do it she just did it on her own free will. She left the room without saying anything so I think she didn't like me as a patient but most people don't lol can't blame her but I still give her a 5 star she is amazing. Thankyou. read more

We love Aden Dental. This business is very organized with office manager Gary at the front desk. They are very thorough with your care. On my first visit, they took x-rays, photographs and pen photographs around the inside of my mouth. I went over a plan with Dr. Nguyen him for future treatment. There is no dental hygienist, the doctors do deep or regular cleaning themselves. They book themselves to give you complete care, one person at a time. This way they are not running from patient to patient and giving bursts of care. You get their full attention for a long time. We are very happy we found Aden. When I visit a dentist, I evaluate my experience based on two criteria: solidness of construction (how well what they put in my mouth lasts), and rapport (how well they answer my questions and keep me appraised of what is happening in my mouth). I went to Aden Dental to get a crown prep on my #15 molar and a filling replacement on my #14 molar (top left at the very back). I cannot speak to the solidness of Dr. Young's work because I will not be going back to get the crown finished. Yes, the rapport was THAT bad. I've been to approximately 10 dentists in my life and I have some mouth complications--grinding and awkwardly placed teeth that mean that I will have to go to many more. I know how my mouth works and I know how I best endure time in the chair. I want to know whats going on and help the dentist as best I can. My first problem was Dr Young's bedside (or chairside) manner. This dentist office tries to steer their patients toward watching movies or listening to music during procedures, basically removing them from the process and it showed in how I was treated. I felt like a hunk of meat with a mouth and that very little attention was paid to my comfort or discomfort. Before work started, I requested that Dr. Young keep me informed as she worked her way through the procedure. I told her I didn't need a running commentary but that I would like to know as she changed phases. For example: "First we're grinding away the existing composite in your teeth" "Now we're getting rid of the rotten areas and checking for bacteria" "Now we're going to pack composite into your teeth and light cure it" "Now we are putting a metal ring around the tooth so we can build it up without it sticking to its neighbor" That's not a lot to say in 1.5 hours. She made a few attempts to talk in the first 15 minutes or so, but otherwise I was generally ignored. Honestly, if you can chat with your assistant about the pictures of your house and how the yard isn't as big as it looks, you can goddamn well talk to the person who's mouth you are drilling in! I also was not impressed with the Dental Assistant, Keeley. I have a small mouth with a strong gag reflex. I told her this before we started a set of full mouth X-rays and she made very little attempt to be gentle. Instead she jammed the X-ray films in the back of my mouth and I gagged at least 4-5 times during her attempts. I eventually had to take the films away from her and place them myself. In addition when she was assisting the dentist during the procedure, she left her vacuum drain resting against my skin for long periods of time which made it painfully cold. This assistant is following the bedside manner example set by her dentist and it is horrible. My second problem was the equipment used to hold open my mouth. When working for a long period of time on back molars, dentists have to prop the mouth open. The old way of doing this was to use a rubber wedge between the teeth on the opposite side to hold the mouth open, and then a dental dam (rubber sheet with a hole in it) with a frame to isolate the tooth as they worked. Of course having your mouth wedged open is never going to be comfortable, but with the old wedge, you could at least relax the muscles in your jaw and let your teeth rest on the wedge. Dr. Aden suggested I use her newer system, because, and I quote "I use this with all my patients and only two have ever requested that I go back to the old rubber dam and wedge." The new system is a mouth wedge with an integrated vacuum and what looks like a flat hourglass of flexible plastic to one side. The wedge goes on your teeth, and the near half of the hourglass wedges into your mouth over your tongue while the far half wraps under the work area and into your cheek. I had two problems with this system. First, a constant running vacuum in my mouth dried out my throat and it started to stick together after about an hour. While I could still breathe through my nose, the sensation of my throat closing was not a pleasant one. Second, and most importantly, I am not convinced that the shape of the system was correct for my mouth. For me, the widest point of the system was the hourglass and not the tooth wedge. This meant that, instead of being able to rest my teeth on the wedge (and therefore relax my jaw muscles) I had the two edges of the hourglass jamming into the inner edge of my lower jaw and the roof of my mouth. This was painful enough that I had to use my jaw muscles to keep my mouth open for more than an hour, which gave me the second worst headache I have ever had in my life. When I tried to explain to Dr. Young about the pressure points and pain, her response was "That's how it's SUPPOSED to fit." Bull. If that's how its supposed to fit, I'm never using one again. To sum up, when the discomfort in the rest of your mouth (and head) is worse than the discomfort in the area the dentist is working on, there is a PROBLEM! read more

My husband and I have been going to Aden Dental for the last few years. We initially started here because they had Saturday and evening hours, which allowed my husband to go to appointments without missing work. Since then we've started coming during regular business hours, but this is still a nice option to have. The other big draw for us is the location, which is directly across the street from my husband's job and only a short 15-minute drive from my office in downtown Bellevue. We really like everyone here. The people are so important at a dentist's office, and they definitely have professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff here. Gina and Sonya are very welcoming at the front desk. We always get into our appointments right on time. We enjoy talking with Robin, our dental hygienist, and she puts us at ease while she makes our teeth look beautiful. Robin is very detail-oriented so we come away with polished white teeth and not a speck of plaque remaining. The best thing about Robin is that she is personable and does not judge you if you aren't perfect in your dental routine. Dr. Young and her husband are the owners. You can see the rapport between them and their staff. Dr. Young is also very personable and caring. She uses a common sense approach in that she keeps a watch on potential trouble areas and gives you a heads up about where to focus your attention, but doesn't do work just to do it. Aden Dental always has the latest technology in dentistry and the office is clean and organized. Staff here are very efficient and professional, but also take the time to talk with you socially as well as about your teeth. This was an amazing experience... For anyone who's been waiting (years in my case) to visit the dentist, it's not that scary. I would highly recommend going here. So I finally broke down, knowing that my cavities wouldn't fill themselves. Personally, I fear needles and lectures about flossing every day. When they cleaned my teeth, they have a small camera that shows problems where I needed to brush and floss more. Instead of lectures, I was able to see for myself which was nice. My X-ray's were quick, and they are digital (they weren't last time I went to a dentist) so you can see the pic instantly. Recently, I had another appointment for multiple fillings. This time I watched a DVD while in the chair. It was great, I was able to relax and focus on the movie. It was quick and painless. The doctor did a great job with my needle phobia, and I hardly knew when I was being numbed. The office staff is super fun, and the environment was great. Another perk is they are open on Saturdays! Stay far, far away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first important fact I will mention: this was a very well run practice until it was sold to Dr. Dang and her husband in 2015. The prior dentist, Dr. Young, along with the prior staff, ran a high quality practice with excellent, caring staff. I always believed that, if anything, she under treated but I always say that as a positive because she saw the benefit in keeping your original teeth if at all possible. Fast forward to 2015 and the nightmare that transpired: Dr. Dang and her husband bought the practice. On my first exam Dr. Dang stated she saw a small cavity that needed a filling. Having had small fillings done before and wanting to be proactive, I trusted Dr, Dang and proceeded with what I assumed would be a simple, pain free, wise long term decision for my supposedly afflicted tooth. This was the biggest dental nightmare I have ever experienced in my 46 years. Where do I start? Well, how about the fact that I assumed I would receive one small dose of numbing agent for what should have been a very short procedure. No, in fact she was drilling at my tooth for so long I started experiencing incredible pain and she had to give me more numbing agent. As I lay there I was growing extremely concerning because, having had small fillings done before, I knew this should have been a very short procedure. When she finally finished I felt like I had been through a 12 round heavyweight bout. For months I had both sharp pain and dull aches in the tooth. For perspective, with previous fillings I was 100% better the next day after treatment. I went back in several times with extreme concern as to why I was having pain for months. Well, guess what Dr. Dang said? "We'll Jeff, if this doesn't get better you might need a root canal". Are you kidding me? Dr. Dang drilled so far down into my tooth and created such a large filling that she likely permanently damaged my tooth. On a follow up exam with another Doctor they were shocked at the size of the filling for what supposedly was a small cavity that simply should have been watched more closely. I was so upset when I heard this because I have always worked very hard to maintain very good oral health, which of course includes keeping my original teeth whenever possible. I will tell you what occurred here and, after speaking with other patients that so sadly experience the same poor quality, extremely unprofessional treatment: Gross negligence to generate profit. I have absolutely no doubt that is what occurred here. I expect this tooth will likely fail in the near future due to the over-drilling Dr. Dang did to it, thereby comprising its integrity. I am sickened to hear this is a common theme with other trusting patients who choose to stay at Aden Dental after the sale to Dr. Dang. Please, please, please, DO NOT go to Dr. Dang. She does not have your best interest at heart. She is here to make money from you and views you as a personal piggy bank. I should have see the warning signs when she immediately wanted to do a filling after she asked what my insurance covered. If you too have received unethical, horrendous care from Dr. Dang please reach out to me. Although we will never be able to get our original teeth back, we deserve to have her removed from practice and damaging more lives. Jeff read more

I don't fear dental cleanings anymore. They're quick and painless. And the staff is friendly and makes you feel so welcome.
