Great service, nice rooms for 1 person or a couple. Showers are a little tight , but it's what you'd expect in Europe. Excellent location with good bars, restaurants right outside your door and the Coliseum nearby. read more

Plenty of shopping, dining and coffee nearby. The room was clean and modern with a fully stocked, complimentary mini bar. Loved the bathroom, the bar upstairs and the breakfast buffet and coffee with Salvatore was a great start to each day. The downstairs spa was a bit small, but enjoyable nonetheless, with steam room, sauna, and simple hydrotherapy stations. All in all this was the best accommodations we had our entire 10 day trip throughout Italy. Will gladly stay here again! The staff, service, location, amenities and facility were all stellar!

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

We were able to walk to great shopping, restaurants and sites, including the colosseum and Trevi fountain. Clean accommodations and friendly staff. With jet lag, our sleep schedule was sporadic. The housekeeping staff kindly managed to attend to our room regardless of the hour. It's luxury you would come to expect of the St. Regis brand. Pro tip: Ironing boards/iron not in room and must be requested via Front Desk. However, you can have up to TWO items pressed daily Free. I deducted one star because our bed was lumpy - time to switch out the mattress! And be sure to request a room on floors 1-3. The fourth floor is right below the gym and very noisy during gym hours.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!

The hotel called an ambulance which took me to the closest hospital and Armando from the staff walked to the hospital with my wife and daughter and accompanied them for over an hour helping to communicate with hospital personnel and didn't leave until he knew I was being cared for. After my hospital visit was over and we went back to the hotel the staff helped translate my order and prescriptions. They were so helpful with everything else. They gave us a very good walking map of Rome with highlighted routes, a list of restaurants that they recommended and we were not disappointed in any that we went to, they scheduled taxi pickups, had umbrellas for the rain a great breakfast with awesome cappuccino and lattes and a happy hour.
