Went for dinner, large group. Popular place. The chips were tasty, darker than most. The salsa was ok, but too many onions for me. I had a combination, came with soup or salad, I got salad - just iceberg lettuce with a few strings of red cabbage. I had iced tea, everyone got large red glasses and the straw just came to the top of the glass, so you had to fish it out every time you wanted a drink! My combo was a chicken soft taco and green corn tamale with rice and beans. It was all average, but the taco was wrapped in foil so it was really soggy and very messy! I have never seen that done before, normally just on the plate. Manuel's still has the best green corn tamales and green sauce. The flautas another person got were huge, 8-10" long! The best Mexican food we have found since moving to Northern Arizona 5 years ago. We moved from Indio, California where the population is about 80% Hispanic and bad Mexican restaurants just don't survive. I am used to the best and casa Sanchez is the only place we have found worth the visit. Here you will find the best Huevos rancheros, the best Menudo, the best seven seas soup and Chiles Rellenos. The margaritas are great except the restaurant seats do not come with seatbelts (so be careful). I have to admit that I haven't tried any other Mexican restaurants in the Prescott area, because this place is so good and I get Prescott so rarely. read more

My oh my I'm not sure where to start. The food is bland. The service is mediocre at best. The cost isn't worth the reward when it comes to this place. I'm definitely not a fan of the fajitas at ALL. For an out of the way Sunday lunch that includes Margaritas, lots of chips and salsa plus genuine Arizona Style mexican food, Casa Sanchez is a good find if you know where to look. The outside appearance of the building made we wary at first, once inside the latin staff made me feel like I had found "Little Mexico" just a few miles west of downtown. The salsa and guacamole were fresh , the margaritas were made with real lime juice and a major ingredient in most dishes, I'm sure, was lard.......but you have to use lard if you want authentic mexican flavor. Bang for the buck this is a decent place. I've never been disappointed by the wait staff, and the only downside to the food is that it is a bit on the bland side. Good flautas, decent chimis, and pretty good chile rellenos. The menudo is iffy, so opt for the albondigas if given a soup option. Super good chips with a decent salsa. First off the service was great. My review is based on the first and only time I've been there. Ordered the shrimp enchiladas, first bite I noticed the little salad shrimp, one of my biggest pet peeves getting a shrimp dish at a restaurant. Maybe their more expensive shrimp dishes have the normal sized shrimp, I didn't ask. If you are used to ok tasting food that's a little pricey for what you're getting with good service, you might give it a try. read more

Casa Sanchez's food is always presented just right. They're always so quick; you are never waiting long for your food even when they're busy. I haven't tried every dish but one of my favorite dishes is their Asada Fries. It tastes like their meat has been marinated for hours and it's so full of flavor. Their fries are always cooked perfectly golden brown. They use real avocados for their guacamole which gives it a fresh taste. The cheddar cheese and sour cream bring the whole dish together. The hostess, servers, and bussers are always so welcoming. We are always seated in a timely manner. In no time at all our server greets us with our delicious chips and salsa. We love this restaurant. It's about 15 miles one way, but we go there ALOT! The customer service is great! We are always greeted when we walk in. We are promptly seated (depending on how busy they are) but we never just stand there waiting. Then we are immediately brought chips and salsa. All the staff is wonderful and freindly. Our drinks are always refilled promptly and the servers always check back more than just one time to find out how everything is. The food is wonderful and good size portions. You definitely get your money's worth since they are reasonably priced too. When paying you are asked by the cashier (but if he is up front) the owner will also ask how everything was and we always get a genuine THANK YOU. read more

I grew up in New Mexico and I know Mexican food. And there is some really poor Mexican food in Prescott. Casa Sanchez is the exception, Very good food . Large portions of food you want to finish, I over eat every time. My Floridian Wife is not a Mexican food fan but she LOVES the Bacon wrapped shrimp "Puerto Vallarta", I always get traditional Combo plates so I can try different items. I typically always love coming here we also order out from here alot too. The food is really good and most servers are great. I went in yesterday and our server wasn't very nice at all... but that's the first time we had her and the first time we had a bad experience with them. Typically the servers we have are always super nice and sweet. But they all know we tip real well. Guess it's just that girls bad. Her loss not ours we tipped half of what we usually do and she still got over 5 bucks... either way service I'd USUALLY great food is 99.9 percent of the time excellent only complaint on that is they could get better beans. The service is good but the food could be more authentic. I ordered pork chili verde. The waitress raved about it. I am 99.99% sure it was just fatty pork simmered in thickened, canned green enchilada sauce. I could taste the thickener. It wasn't even salsa verde with real tomatillos and chilies. It was terrible. No cilantro, no onion, no cumin, nada. My husband had a Christmas-style smothered burrito. The sauces were flat. The filling, tasteless. We won't go back. read more

Did not even see our server's face for 10 mintutes after seating. Husband ordered peach margarita thinking it was under the half priced margarita advertised. We split azada fries and taco salad. Big mistake!! Friend flour shell and french fries both tasted like dirty, overused fryer grease, absolutely repulsive. Turned my stomach, sick all night from the meal. Cherry on top came with the bill, charged full price for margarita because it was peach flavored. Really, full price due to flavor. No extra alcohol but twice as much as happy hour price. Server should inform tables of happy hour stipulation. Terrible terrible terrible experience overall. Please change fryer grease before you make somebody else sick, it is an abomination that you choose to cut corners on cost in this manner.
