It sucks that I have to leave this negative review, especially for a restaurant I've returned to multiple times with my family, but unfortunately our Mother's Day experience yesterday was really disappointing. One of the main reasons we've always enjoyed coming here is for the live mariachi performances, which my mom ABSOLUTELY loves. Sadly, this visit just didn't feel worth the extremely inflated holiday pricing. At $75 per adult and $40 per child (drinks not included), our bill came out to over $600 for 7 people and only one alcoholic beverage was ordered. That would maybe feel justified if the food and service matched the price, but they did not. The food lacked flavor, arrived cold, and the service was noticeably poor. Our waiter seemed irritated anytime we asked for anything, which was surprising because we've never experienced that before (could be that gratuity was automatically added to the bill). And to top it off, the mariachi performance lasted far less time than expected, maybe 45-50 minutes at most, when that's honestly the biggest reason people even go, especially on Mother's Day. It's unfortunate because we truly enjoyed our previous visits, but this experience felt more focused on maximizing holiday profits than creating a quality dining experience. I'd still maybe consider returning on a regular day (for the performances solely), but I would definitely avoid holiday pre-fixed menus/cost events in the future. I came here to celebrate my father in laws birthday, although the serves were very attentive and nice, the food was not good at all. They charge $38 for mole enchiladas that i couldn't even finish because it wasn't good. The rice was super salty and hard it tasted like it had been sitting out for days. If you're hispanic, this is not authentic mexican food whatsoever. On top of our food being bad the mariachis sung their songs in english!!! what?? we came here for MEXICAN music and they sung in english to the white people just to cater to them. Last time we had came they sung only in spanish, but no because there were white people they sung in english. i understand charging a hefty price tag because of the live music but we expected mexican music. so disappointing never coming again. read more

We had a party of 19, and from the moment the first guests arrived around 5:20 PM until everyone trickled in by 5:45 PM, the staff was incredibly attentive, organized, and accommodating. Our table was ready early with chips, fresh salsa (which was so good!), and waters waiting for us, and they immediately checked if we wanted any other drinks. My regular mango margarita was refreshing and perfect for the hot weather. I ordered the ribeye steak and appreciated that they allowed me to substitute the vegetables for rice, while still serving it with creamy mashed potatoes. The steak was tender, flavorful, and had a delicious marinade that really stood out. They timed the entrées perfectly so we could enjoy dinner during the 6:30 PM mariachi show, which was lively, talented, and so much fun. I loved that they included a Happy Birthday segment for everyone celebrating, making the evening feel extra special. The $2.50 per person cake-cutting fee was very reasonable, and overall the entire experience--from the food and service to the entertainment--was seamless. One of the rare spots in the area that can accommodate large groups! We had a party of 9 and had a great experience. They have onsite parking (no valet required when we went), and service was amazing, they're super nice and checked up on us a lot. Complimentary chips and salsa - 10/10. We spend it at Casa Sánchez and we had the most pleasant experience. First service is amazing at a venue with the elegance of a beautifull Mexican Hacienda, then in a date like this, Raul Sánchez fix a delicious Mexican menu with at least 10 gourmet plates going from the common Fajitas to elaborate ones like a delicious short leg of pork or delicious Mole Poblano or even a juicy filet Mignon!!! The tobiko adds an unexpected and nice light crunchy texture. The shrimp enchilada was the favorite of the table. Absolutely demolished that plate and mopped up the sauce with more tortilla because the sauce was that good. All four of us really enjoyed the spot. TL;DR: Expensive, but if you have a celebration, this is the place to be! I read Yelp reviews before my visit, and definitely see both sides. I was invited to a birthday dinner, and to be honest, I considered declining the invitation because I knew it would be a pay your own way evening, and face it, your basic Combo plate here ($36) costs twice as much as a regular Mexican restaurant. That said, this is NOT a regular Mexican restaurant. This is the place you come to for a special event! The Mariachi singers are FANTASTIC and really do a good show. It's fun and these singing men are very talented. The show lasts about an hour or so. They celebrate all the birthdays and special occasions from the stage as the servers deliver a celebratory treat. The servers are extremely attentive! From the moment I was seated until the end of the evening. My soda ($6.50 OUCH!) was refilled several times before I could ask. Now... to discuss the food, because this is a restaurant. Upon arrival, the table was lined with chips and a delicious salsa with a mild kick. The guac is a fair portion for $11. It was hard for me to restrain myself from double dipping! Calamari ($20) was ordered for the table, and admitting to never having tried it before, it was divine! Especially with a tap of lemon! Trying to manage my budget with my tastes, I ordered the Taquito appetizer ($18) and an a la carte Taco Durado ($10! Not on the menu. YIKES!) I felt that the kitchen/server could have been a little more detail oriented, as I requested no tomatoes on the taco and the taquitos came covered in tomato, I requested no cabbage on the taquitos, but they put cabbage in the taco. Other than this, both items were tasty. Including some pictures from dinners around the table, because they looked yummy, even though I did not get to taste. If you are the person with a special occasion, be prepared to blow out the candle on a flan - likely before you've gotten to ordering dessert. It's cool, because when it comes to dessert, there's a gorgeous tray that arrives of treats to choose from. Most "regular" Mexican restaurants offer up flan, and maybe cheesecake. Here, the options are so much better! Tres Leche, Carrot Cake, Tiramisu, Pistachio Cake, Chocolate Cake and, of course, flan. It all looks drool worthy. I ordered the Tiramisu, and got to try the flan. The Italian treat was light and airy, rivaling that of a phenomenal Italian restaurant. The flan was dense, like cheesecake. It had a nice caramel flavor. Keeping in alignment with the rest of the menu, the cost was higher than your average dessert at a regular restaurant - $12! However, the portions were a bit more generous. Our table with 6 dinners, 3 desserts, and mostly non-alcoholic beverages racked up a tab of $380 after tax (hey! it's the tax that kills it all!) ... hopefully this review helps you to create an enjoyable experience to fit your own budget. read more

Elegance, entertainment and culture. Took my wife here in a date night and this place did not disappoint. Service was excellent with a valet for $5 to greet you in the parking lot. Walking in feels very elegant just in the lobby and once you walk into the dining area, it feels classy with the vintage paintings, dark wood tables and an atmosphere that exudes high class entertainment. The elephant in the room is unmistakably right at the front of the restaurant. The stage for the mariachi band feels like a main character in of itsellf sparking a tinge of excitement of what's to come. And when they came out they performed for just over an hour. Each has multiple stalls. Staff was friendly, professional and overall attentive to our table. Environment is comfortable and the dim lighting helps you stay focused on the stage. There were beautiful paintings of well known Mexican entertainers decorating the walls. Food was delicious and I think that is what really made this experience so much more enjoyable. This restaurant is honestly way too expensive for the quality of the food that you get. The food isn't that great, I've had way better Mexican food at cheaper places. My sister-in- law got a shrimp dish that was $40 and all she got was five pieces of shrimp. The ambience is cool, especially if you go when the mariachi is there. The service was pretty slow, it took us forever to get our check. There is a parking lot but it's valet only. I would definitely save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The service and attentiveness to detail was superb and exceeded my expectations. I made a reservation online , 5 dollar valet parking. Checked in and our table for 9 was ready immediately. The waiters were very helpful answering questions , refilling coffee , drinks etc. Food was also delicious! Our table tried the mole poblano , steak plate , pescado plate , enchiladas and their tortillas! Everyone was happy with their plate and agreed that the food was delicious. We got seated next to the mariachi stage and it wasn't too loud , the mariachi played for an hour. They sing las mañanitas if it's your birthday and give you a complimentary flan. Let's get the elephant out of the room right away: the food at Casa Sanchez is fine. Not bad, not remarkable, just fine. You've probably had better tacos at a place with a folding table and a hand-painted sign. But here's the thing. You're not going to Casa Sanchez for the tacos. You're going for the show, and the show is absolutely worth every penny of the roughly hundred dollars a person you'll spend by the time drinks are factored in. The mariachis are the real menu item here. They come out swinging and they do not stop. The energy in that room is something you cannot manufacture, and trust me, a lot of restaurants have tried. These guys are the full package: horns, strings, matching suits, voices that fill every corner of the room and somehow still feel like they're playing just for your table. Your food will get cold because you'll forget to eat it. That's not a complaint. That's a feature. Go with people you want to actually be with, order a lot of drinks, and let the night happen to you. The vibe carries everything, the crowd feeds off it, and by the end of the night you'll have forgotten entirely that the enchiladas were average. Fast-forward to last night. we went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. We really enjoyed ourselves. Some of us ordered the beef fajitas. It is a huge portion that would last 2 to 3 meals. The combination plates are also good. I had beef taco and cheese enchilada, while this is expensive at $38, you also have to include the cost of the show. Party of 5 with no alcohol and tip was $332. But again, the entertainment adds value. The decor is very fancy hotel vibes. The service was friendly and very fast. And now the highlight: the mariachi is so good. We loved their repertoire. They are all great musicians and very personable and funny. Mariachi music is great, but even better when the musicians are talented. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this place any day, but especially if you want to celebrate something special!! read more

Though over priced, the food and the ambiance are good, and the service is pleasant and efficient. The distinguishing feature though is the mariachi band performance on certain nights. We went for a birthday celebration for three people in our group and were delighted by the experience. The food and drinks were delicious and more than adequate! Our favorite spot, period! My husband and I come here every week (no exaggeration), and for good reason. The food: excellent. The drinks: tasty (and strong). The service: exceptional. The music: THE BEST! Mariachi Voces de Mexico keep us coming back for more -- the most entertaining, talented, fun and hilarious mariachi group I've ever seen. From the menu, you can't go wrong. Appetizer standouts: we love the guacamole, spicy tuna tostada (trust me), and ceviche are our faves, but we've also enjoyed the Sanchez platter when we come with groups. Dinner standouts: pescado zarandeado (wow), camarones à la diabla, tacos de camaron, enchiladas de camaron, mole poblano, and the chamorro de puerco. I'm not a big dessert gal, but their selection is amazing (our boys love the flan). My favorite cocktail is the Cadillac margarita with a tajin rim. Plenty of parking, and valet Thursday-Sunday. Mariachi showtimes are on their website and Instagram page -- the main group plays Thursday-Sunday, with a trio on Tuesdays and Wednesday's. Prices are decent considering the quality of the food. They also have special prefixed events for Mothers Day, Valentines Day, and NYE (we've done them all, totally worth it). Overall, can't recommend this place enough! read more

Had dinner here (and show) on a Tuesday evening . We had a reservation (recommended) for a party of 6. Inviting Decor with various portraits (I.e Pancho Villa) as you walk-in. First, the Mariachi music was lovely and lasted for an hour. That said, it was loud and felt like we were sitting in the front row at a concert. So plan on enjoying the show/music for an hour and not having conversation at the table. We started with some Mezcal and House Margaritas which were all tasty. For app, it was the Sanchez Platter (medium)-a mix of items from Calamari to bacon wrapped Shrimp including mini Quesadillas and Taquitos.-delicious Wasn't very hungry so I ordered the appetizer Ceviche (fish). Generous portion full of fresh fish and tasty. Others ordered Portobello Mushroom (stuffed with a plethora of veggies), Fish Tacos were a favorite and were excellent. Two orders of Fajita-steak and steak/chicken combo. Unfortunately, the steak meat was a miss. Having lived in Texas, the bar is high and this Fajita steak wasn't seasoned and as tender as we have enjoyed. The Chicken was very good. Service was engaged and attentive. My husband and I were staying at an airbnb walking distance from Casa Sanchez and decided to walk over for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised with how classy and pleasant this restaurant was. They also had a lovely mariachi band that was quite good! I also appreciated that the music didn't overpower my ability to talk to my husband while we enjoyed dinner. Casa Sanchez has quite a menu and it was hard to choose- but we ordered guacamole and chicken soup for appetizers and then went with the very authentic Cochinita Pibil and Mole Poblano for our entrees. We completely made the mistake of ordering too much food (the portions are a very healthy size) but we enjoyed everything we ordered! The venue is beautiful and so elegant. The Chile en Nogada was good, but there was too many nuts inside (pine nuts, almonds) and pomegranate seeds, so every bite had a weird crunch. At first it felt like I was biting bones of the meat but then I realized there was just a lot of nuts and seed inside the chile. It was a weird texture that I didn't enjoy. But the cashew sauce on top was delicious. The waiter was kind of rude, I don't remember his name but he was a tall older man. I was asking about the ingredients in the side salad and he seemed so annoyed by my questions. I just wanted to know what kind of dressing it had, and that's the servers job to describe the ingredients!!!! What if I was allergic to an ingredient? I have to know what's inside my food! I think he just wanted "easy" customers that didn't ask any questions. The mariachi was amazing but the show was too short, they arrived late at 6:45 and it ended at 7:30. Only a 45 minute show. Valet parking is a ripoff. Every restaurant should provide free parking. We are already spending $400 or more on the bill!! Dishes are overpriced, $35 to $40 each.
