The ambience was honestly really disturbing. They were doing live karaoke and the mic was turned on really loud, so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves. Despite our requests, they didn't turn down the volume of the mic. Having that atmosphere for trying to have a meal was an extremely negative experience. Food is okay. Service is okay. Veggie burrito had way more rice than actual veggies. Even the fajita dish had more veggies. The 2 person fajitas were a complete scam. The one person fajita had the same amount of rice, beans, and pico, which was ridiculous considering you pay twice as much for the 2 person fajitas. You only get like 30% more meat for the 2 person fajitas and they were quite stingy with the tortillas (had to ask for tortillas multiple times just to only get 5 tortillas for the 2 person fajitas). In addition, the grilled portion was over salted and hard to eat without the tortillas. Servers didn't give us the check after asking more than 3 times. Maybe a bit too pricey. We paid too much money and even we paid in losing our hearing. Never eating here again. read more

Outstanding food, very good, I had chips and salsa, then ordered the Ground Beef Nachos. Very tasty, sample plate size. Wife got the steak fajitas, she talked with the chef, she thought the steak was bad, I tasted it, we asked the chef to taste it. He said it was fine but she just didn't care for it, they happily and insisted she could order anything else. She got the enchiladas, 1 chicken, beef and cheese. All were AWESOME! Would recommend this and would most certainly return. Great food!!!! Service was fair, bless her heart, it wasn't what job was, normally the cleaner... she stepped up and became our server, kind, friendly but being a server definitely was not her job. But very attentive when she could. Just not used to serving so things were a bit slow. But they were professional, kind and polite. I was visiting the area for work and decided to stop in for a meal with my co-workers. We were seated immediately and placed our orders. Two of us ordered steak Fajitas and my other co-worker ordered a Cuban Sandwich. My co-worker liked his sandwich. My Fajitas were edible. The guacamole looked like it had been sitting out for a while. The steak was tender, but it tasted like it was slathered with some type of tomato sauce which gave it a weird flavor. My gf and I went to Casa Patrón on a Monday evening where it was surprisingly moderately busy. I ordered the Asada Burrito, and my gf got the Asada Quesadilla. We ordered a side of guacamole with the free chips that neither of us regretted. Honestly, the food was great. It was about what I expected; no frills but reliable, Mexican food. The tomatillo sauce was tasty and complimented the asada well. The vibe of the restaurant itself is nice cause depending on who you go with, it can be a family like restaurant, or a bar-like hangout with a group of friends. My only issue is how understaffed it is. There were maybe 8 other tables consisting of 2-6 people each, and they only had 1 server and a bartender who was part time serving. As a result, it took 10 minutes for the server to approach us. My girlfriend and I had to ask our server three times for 2 glasses of water because he was getting pulled in every direction by other tables. We finally got our water once I was about 50% done with my burrito. It's clear the restaurant could use more staff but otherwise a pretty solid Mexican restaurant experience in the Roosevelt/Green lake area. I will likely be coming back! read more

When the establishment isn't jam-packed, they may even stop by your table and regale you with their wit, and their inexhaustible collection of jokes, that they occasionally may tell you together! The cocktails are great, and if you really want to go on an agave adventure, they will give you a tour of their tequila wall, from the inexpensive silver shooters to the sipping añejos. The chips and salsa are fantastic and soooooo hard to resist! The food is a-OK, but the whole experience is so pleasant that I never mind. I used to like this spot. However, the last few times we have ordered takeout it takes so incredibly long to be ready it's kind of insane. We ordered recently and it said 15 minutes. We showed up 20 minutes later and they hadn't started the order. Claimed their ordering system made the mistake. I sat for another 25 minutes waiting, wasn't offered a drink or chips or anything. Additionally, one of the men who works at the front is so condescending towards women. It's gross. Last time we went in to pickup food, I calmly showed my ordered on my phone and asked about it, he very rudely cut me off and walked back to check. I waited 10 minutes and asked him again and he stopped me mid sentence to say "calm down. I'll go check" and then I waited another 5 to get my food. I was disgusted. We won't be back. The drinks were awesome. Wife had the Guava Margarita and I had the Jalapeno Margarita, both fantastic. I am always interested to try spicy beverages and this is probably the best one I've ever had. Service, if it matters to you, was good. Ambiance was definitely more like a bar than a restaurant. The food, however, was bland at best. The "Spanish red sauce" tasted like plain tomato sauce to me. Nothing really seemed to have much flavor to it at all. I had the Fajita Burrito per the yelp top dishes. My wife had the Patron Burrito, and hers was served at room temperature in addition to similar flavor complaints. The spinach enchiladas were not just vegetarian but vegan! Which was unexpected and not exactly preferred since I love sour cream and cheese so looking at my partners dish which had a whole ass mountain of melted cheese in it made me cry internally just a bit. However, the flavors in the enchilada filling were amazing and the enchiladas were actually good without any dairy, which is pretty hard to do! I definitely was very sad that I had black beans instead of refried beans because black beans are just so basic, but overall would definitely come again and get something a little less healthy looking. We also got the ceviche which had sooo much lime and was absolutely delicious. I love citrus and the ceviche was definitely a celebration of lime. This is a cute Mexican restaurant near Greenlake, but on the other side of the freeway. It's dimly lit with a fireplace located oddly near the back. I confidently say that it's both great for dates and group setting as it also has an upstairs. Our server was extremely friendly and left us alone at appropriate times to chit chat. Our group slowly showed up one by one but she was quick to come help them. However, I did notice towards the end that my water was never filled. In terms of food, I find the quality better than some of the other Mexican restaurants in the surrounding area. I enjoyed my shrimp chipotle (I forget actual name) as recommended by the waitress, although I did think it was spicy. As for their name sake alcohol, patron, they had a huge selection of drinks derived from tequila. I did not indulge as I was currently battling a cold, but my group had no complaints. read more

Casa Patrón is a great place to go for a casual night! I used to love coming here (pre-Covid) for nights with my girl friends! We usually just stick to drinks, but I finally came and got some food so I felt like I could leave an honest review. First off, the variety of drinks they have is amazing! Flavored mojitos/margs are my favorite things to see at a Mexican restaurant so it's nice they have lots of those options. Last time I came I got a jalapeño margarita and some cucumber mojitos. They were really tasty (and cheaper than a lot of other Seattle bars), but I didn't really feel all that tipsy. I ordered a chile relleno and it was pretty good too! The amount of food you get for the price is really solid, so I would say worth it. This place is a 4/5 star for me for two reasons. One, like I said I don't feel like the drinks are very strong. I wish they were worth the price, especially because they're really delicious! Second, I feel like while I was definitely satisfied with the food, it wasn't my absolute favorite Mexican food I've had at a more casual spot like this one. That said, I highly highly recommend Casa Patron for a fun night out with friends, or a casual date night! I really look forward to coming back for those once COVID is a little better. read more

Don't eat here. The service is horrible and I should have listened to the Food & Health Safety rating at the front door. I ate here with my family visiting (group of 4) from California on 7/31/2022 in the early afternoon. It was somewhat busy with a few tables already and two waiters. We were seated promptly, looked at the menu and waited for water since it was incredibly hot. First RED FLAG, the waiter brings cups of ice water. My wife notices something is floating in the water, she points it out to him and his response is "that's Tajin when we make the drinks." Not waiting for a response, he walks away...We ordered water. His response was essentially "it is a used cup and we don't clean it properly so deal with it"... I also noticed there was some floating debris in my cup. Nevertheless, we didn't drink the water here but we should have left. The same waiter returns to take our order. We order Ceviche MIXED, Shrimp Cocktail COLD, Cevice traditional and nachos. The traditional ceviche is delivered first where he said they don't have enough prepared so he gave a smaller order and will deduct a few dollars. Sounds fair. The place starts to get busier and the original waiter leaves to tend the bar. We get a new waiter... The mixed ceviche is delivered...it is not mixed. It is only has shrimp. I don't eat it and ask the waiter that the order is wrong. I tell him that I'm okay with eating it as we've been waiting for awhile but I don't want to be charged the extra for the mixed as it is about $2 more than shrimp ceviche. He says okay and he will go check in the back (which I assume is the kitchen). He never returns to resolve this issue. The Shrimp Cocktail is delivered but it is HOT. My mom specifically made a point to say she wanted a cold shrimp cocktail. We once again tell the waiter that the order is incorrect. He takes the shrimp cocktail back to fix the order...okay, more waiting...He returns about ten minutes later with the SAME shrimp cocktail but slightly colder. They didn't remake the cocktail, they simply put it in the freezer for a few minutes... It doesn't work like that. My mom doesn't want to send it back again cause we've now been waiting on her food for nearly 40 minutes. I shouldn't have paid for this meal at all. After we sent the shrimp cocktail back because they made a mistake, the waiter starts to ignore us. It took a lot of time to get the check and now there's another confrontation when I go to pay. They forgot that they gave a reduced order for the traditional ceviche and forgot that they messed up the order for the ceviche mixed. The waiter gives me attitude when I explain their error, he then goes to the bartender to ask for help. I explain again that he said the traditional was not the correct size and he would deduct the amount, he agreed. I then explained that I told the second waiter that the ceviche mixed order was wrong, I would pay for shrimp, which he said okay and walked away.... They agreed to take the difference off. They made no mention of the shrimp cocktail they messed up nor the disgusting water. The food wasn't even good either. It's very sloppy. If you eat here, beware.
